  sytem and then offered to help.

  It's a scam, and they happened to call at the right time. No, they didn't know beforehand that your system has problems. It was just a coincidence that you were.

  Or first switch to CBS and I will then be able to upgrade the Sonos & MyHarmony?

  I have Time Machine on a time Capsule backup so I guess I can always restore if there is a gigantic fiasco, but at some point, I'll have to upgrade.

  I use an iMac 2012 (later) 2.7 GHz with 8 GB

  If you have saved any Time machine, you can go ahead and check the developers Web sites to see if their software supports El Capitan.

  If so, you can go ahead and update the software first, and then upgrade your Mac to El Capitan.

  I always advise first put the software, otherwise, it may be inaccessible when you use the new operating system.

  No it's not. If you use settings > iCloud > backup backup of the iPad to iCloud, be aware that the only thing you can do with the backup is used to do a full restore or configure a new iOS device. If you do a full restore, regardless of data/photos currently on the device will be replaced by the contents of the backup (for example, you would lose any new photos and other new information on the device since the last backup). Also future backups include is no longer deleted photos.

  If you use settings > iCloud > Photos > iCloud photo library, know that it is a synchronization rather than a backup. All the photos you delete iPad will be deleted to iCloud and any other device connected to this library to iCloud. You can possibly reduce the required storage on the iPad by activating the storage parameter optimize on the same settings screen.

  Apple does not currently of any option storage cloud for photos only. You can explore 3rd party opportunities such as Flickr, Dropbox and others who may have cloud options only.

  I see a signons3.txt file and a file signons.sqlite older, if you can try to see if you can import passwords stored in this file.

  You can force Firefox to re-import the passwords in the file signons.sqlite and regenerate the file logins.json with the following steps:

  • reset the signon.importedFromSqlite pref on the topic: config page by default via the context menu
  • Delete the logins.json file in the closed Firefox with Firefox profile folder

  When you restart Firefox, then you should have the pref signon.importedFromSqlite with the value set to true.
  You have passwords that are imported in the password manager, unless there were errors or signons.sqlite signons3.txt.

  You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
