  You run a program like CCleaner? This software tends to mess with the settings in Thunderbird.
  Thunderbird is designed to open just as you closed. Including the message pane disabled.

  What is the extension of the file you are trying to open this file actually appeared with CS5 Id and in what version?

  Hi lions99 just to update your printer sorted now something to do with the connection to the router / laptop and printer, all a bit above my head when he was explaining to me, he needed all the info from router to set up because he did not find it automatically.

  I don't know what you call Windows Media Photo Viewer.

  In Windows XP's default Photo Viewer is Windows Picture
  and Fax Viewer... and it has options of printing photos.

  Try right click on a thumbnail of the photo or the name of the file and see if you
  can choose... Open with / Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.
  The print icon located at the bottom of the screen...

  In addition, when you have a photo displayed in the Windows image and
  Fax Viewer... you can type... CTRL + P to print the Photo
  Assistant.

  Also, if you right click on a photo thumbnail or file name of the menu
  should include a print option.
