I received an e-mail from one of my friends with photos attached to e-mail. I wanted to save my computer. If I click on download and click on the file and click ok. Then, I'm going to open the file and the just blue photo app opens and closes in a blink of an eye and I'm not able to view my photos... And then, in a box gray, he says: 'Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You can not have the appropriate permissions to access the file. I am getting very frustrated.

From the description you posted, I understand the inconvenience that you can not see the attached pictures in the email with Photo app and you also get an error message.

Inconvenience caused to you is unfortunate.

Follow the steps below and check if the problem persists, prior to this, please answer the questions below.

(1) are you facing this problem on all the images uploaded to email?

(2) what is the file format of the images you are trying to download?

(3) where exactly the image is saved?

Method 1: Download the image to the desktop and now try to open it.

Method 2: Right-click on the image, choose open with.

Select Windows photo viewer and check if the image is opened.

Method 3: Check if your antivirus software is blocking the file.

Disable third-party security software

one) on your computer taskbar beside the clock system...

(b) you will see the third-party security software icon.

(c) click the third-party security software, you will see a pop up.

(d) in this pop and select the option to disable, click on it.

Now the third-party security software will be disabled.
