Why can't I access the tasks in the Ribbon bar

until recently, I have not had problems, but now I can't open the items on the Ribbon on the top of the page. On the homepage is nothing lite upward to access them, nothing is lite up on top of any one of them except like the print tab. How can I solve this problem?

Which product are you - this resembles internet explore and not Security Essentials, which is the goal of this forum?  It could also be an Office product type, in light of your use of the term tape.

What browser are you using (name and version - the full version of the help / about in the browser menu)?  If it is a different program, what name and version?  This Ribbon is top of page who does not (which is the name of the Tools/Ribbon bar or what its content)?  What version of Windows are you using EXACTLY (for example, 32-bit Vista Business SP2 or other)?  When did you start this problem?

Pending your response with these answers and a response to that, you could try a generic solution.  Do you know when this problem started?  So relatively recent, try a restore of the system to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  If you use Windows 7, see:http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html. If you are using Vista, see:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/. If you are using XP, see:http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial56.html.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re-install any software and updates that you have installed and uninstall any software that you have removed between now and the point of restoration, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

If the screenshot procedure don't work - the first part will be, this is the second who may have trouble (as it was written before the new version of answers and can not perform in terms of sticking to the position as stated), then just pass the file saved in SkyDrive (ensuring you saved it in a folder or a file that is available to everyone) and open the folder or click on the file to select it and if you scroll a little to the right should see some boxes, including one that provides a link to this file.  Copy the link comprehensive and just post the link in your reply and we will be able to access the file from the SkyDrive account.

    This is a normal behavior. You need not use the space bar to move a selection.  Just have the chosen selection tools and have the cursor within the selected area.  Then just left-click and drag.

  • Why can't I access the new updates of Firefox 4?

    Just updated to Firefox 4 and finished rebooting, but nothing has changed. The browser looks the same as version 3.6.16. I see no Button Firefox, the Awesome Bar does not work, the Stop/Reload have not been combined into one, the Home button has not been moved, etc.. When I check on Firefox, it says I have version 4. I even rebooted in SafeMode with everything disabled and still nothing.

    Any ideas why I'm not able to access the new features?

    The new interface is the default on Windows Vista and Windows 7 only. To get it under Windows XP, you must hide the menu bar. Do, in the view menu, select Toolbars, then click on the entrance to the "Menu bar".

    If you need to access the menus, you can press Alt or F10 to display temporarily.

    To combine the go-stop-reload buttons, right-click on a toolbar and select Customize. Now drag the stop and reload buttons on the right side of the address bar in reload-stop order

    I have a Dell Precision Tower 5810 running Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit.

    My system has an integrated NIC (Intel 1217-LM Ethernet connection)

    You're supposed to be able to access the Intel Management Engine BIOS by pressing Ctrl-P, when you see the screen that tells you to press Ctrl-P to enter MEBx Setup - but the screen never appears when I reboot everything by attaching masking tape on the F12 key.

    I have reason to believe that DHCP can be sayabled in the BIOS Intel Management Engine & I need to enable because my optical fiber ISP uses dynamic instead of static IP addresses IP addresses.

    MEBx is VPRO no INTEL Management Engine.  If you have an INTEL CTRL P then there will be a white sticker inside the case with a number.

    If it's a 3 MEBx is disabled permanently at the factory.

    I recently downloaded CC to my desktop and laptops successfully. In anticipation of a business trip, I created a number of files on the desktop and saved in the folder of the cc. Now I'm on my laptop, is 3,000 miles from my office and folders that I created in the CC folder, but not the actual files. I can find in the online account, but once downloaded, links are confusing. Is it possible that I can access the files from my laptop?

    1. click  in the menu bar and select "force quit."

    Select Safari and click "exit of strength at the bottom of the window to Force Quit.

    Hold down the SHIFT key and launch Safari.

    2. use free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac to remove adware.

    Once this is done, exit Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

    3 Disable Extensions and test them.

    To uninstall any extension, select it and click the "Uninstall" button

    This isn't a problem.  This is the standard behavior.  You are connected to the side LAN of the router that is isolated from the side WAN (uplink).  This is the mode of operation of routers.
