Why did only youtube videos work - the rest just read audio data?

I have a strange request - it revolves around videos.

Recently, the following problem occurred:

YouTube videos will play fine, the audio and video are in sync.

However, all the videos that aren't on youtube read audio only. This means that Web sites like liveleak (which use JW player), 4OD, ITV player and Vimeo (which use the moogaloop reader) read the audio only. In addition, the videos embedded on websites do the same.

To try to solve the problem, I have:

-Uninstalled and reinstalled flash drive
-Uninstalled and reinstalled firefox
-Right-click and disabled hardware acceleration

You guys and girls what do you think might be the root of my problem. Audio plays well but liveleak shows a blank white box and vimeo shows just the 'snapshot' photo that appears to announce each video before clicking to read.

What do you think is in place?

    Let me share my personal experience on the subject. When they are facing the same problem, I asked my provider and they tried to pull a fast explaining that viewing videos on the 3G network is dependent on the device and that it is not possible to videos on my BB "BOLD" due to speed issues.     If it works in Firefox Safe mode and then disable all extensions (Tools > Modules > Extensions) and then try to find out who is causing by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.

    Well, it's strange. Just for fun, I tried something different and it works. On the YouTube website, I right click on the actual video. A brand new box appeared with a video that has updated and worked perfectly. The actual code is different from what I've seen before:

    I use Firefox 8 version Mac OS x Lion. A few hours, I updated Adobe Flash and from that moment, youtube videos will not be displayed in FF. I get a black screen instead of the video.

    You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

    You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

    Go to the channel that this video has been posted on--> make a right click on the drive--> click Settings--> uncheck "enable hardware acceleration".

  • Movie Maker plays audio / video in the preview window, no audio on the table of storyboard / timeline

    Never had this problem before - I have downloaded the clip from digital camera to PC, then imported into Movie Maker.  He plays in the screen preview with audio and video, but when I add it to the editing view or the storyboard table, there is no audio despite the visibly populated audio track.  Volume settings show no inhibition and no adjustment of the volume level will bring the sound up. A lot of gel on, too.

    Something to try...

    In Movie Maker... try to go to... Tools / Options / compatibility... tab and uncheck all filters / OK.

    If no improvement... go to... Tools / Options / Compatibility tab... left click on the "All default settings" button / OK.

    If this does not work... it may be worth trying to convert the video clip of the. Before importing WMV format.
