Why do update can not be installed every time I start FF version 9.01

When I start PC and then open FireFox version 9.01 I get following message: "update could not be installed. Please make sure no other copy of FireFox are running and restart"
No other versions are running. It works fine on my wife's cell phone and automatically updated. This happens whenever I have use your browser or try to go to another site. I saw the newspaper and it says exactly what I just said. I guess that's the latest version already, but I can't stop the error message. All of the suggestions. I would like to reinstall but wonder if I would lose everything already settled?

Tim:
Thanks for the help... I checked all and finally d/l for the installer again and the it manually re-installed/updated to date... checked the task mgr and it is also in the process now and version working fine now is 10.0.
If it's resolved for now

It seems that if the application has been downloaded on his iPad while it is connected to your Apple ID. If so, he'll always want to be updated with your Apple ID.

You must remove the application from his iPad and then download it again while it is connected to its own code of Apple.

Also, after my last update, there are now more than 6 minutes for my computer to boot. Has never done this before

    Hello Bammies,

Thanks for your post.  This is an optional update, you can hide it if you wish.  First, go to the Windows Update site.  Everything you have to do is disable the update, you do not want to install, and then on the button download changes to a close button. After you click Close, you learned that the unselected updates will NOT be installed, then it gives you the ability to never be notified of this update.

    I hope this helps.

  • "The update could not be installed." What should I do?

Whenever Firefox try to update I get a message that says "the update could not be installed. Please make sure that there is no other copy of Firefox running on your computer, etc... "The task manager says there is no other copy of Firefox running, and there are not yet all copies of Firefox running on the anywhere network. When I click on X or OK it just runs through the same cycle and I get the same message. This happens to every update until I have download the new version and install it on top of the current installation. I continue to wait for the bug with the next update, but he continues to be. How to stop this behavior, or can I just give up on Firefox and the use of Chrome or something? It is becoming a major pain in the neck.

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update (Software Update doesn't work does not correctly)

Delete the files in the folder updates\0 and updates:

    Vista/Windows7:
    C:\Users\ < user > \AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates
    (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates)

Do a clean reinstall and download a new copy of Firefox since http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current version of Firefox and remove the Firefox program folder before installing this copy of the Firefox installer.

Do not remove personal data during the uninstallation.

It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.

You can skip the step to create a new profile, which is not required on this issue.

  • Some updates could not be installed: failure on the following security updates - KB974811 KB974556

Please help me solve this problem.  I have automatic updates set to say "updates are ready for your computer.  Click here to see these updates'; Here is the little yellow icon in the system tray low to the right of my screen.  What happens when I click on this icon is usually I then click 'express install' (and non-personalized) and then press "install".

My computer sometimes slows down a bit that it downloads / installs these updates and which can be quite a pain in the thigh because it effects everything that I'm working at the moment, and of course because you have to restart the computer.  I have external hard drives 4 or 5 so I to sequentially turn them off one at a time by ejecting them, turn off the computer and then start it back up and restart the hard drives.

In any case - I can never remember to "SOME UPDATES COULD NOT BE INSTALLED the SCREEN" so I'm at a loss to know what to do.  My computer is perpetually slow because the small yellow Update icon sits in the systray continually trying to draw attention to me and when I do the same thing continues to be time and again - failure!   I tried closing down my antivirus and windows firewall, but nothing helped.

your help would be much appreciated, either tell me how these updates to get the update of my systray icon, or to get updates of pit.

According to belarc Advisor - I am running:

Windows XP Media Center Edition Service Pack 2 (build 2600)
    3.00 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4
cache of 16 kilobytes main memory
    secondary memory 2048 k-cached

    9 of Avira antivirus
SUPERAntiSpyware (although it is installation not not at the auto of the msconfig, so its off to the update)

    Thank you!!

    (1) there was an update to Windows XP sp1 would recognize higher than 127 readers ~ 137 GB, why this update was not in the version later service pack?

    (2) where can I find so that I can then reinstall windows XP, updated to sp1, install the patch to see the complete player to sp2 and 3 can be installed?

    original title: supervision XP

Maybe the disc has been formatted as part of your original installation of Windows XP with a pre - SP1 version of Windows.  At that point, he could only format the drive as 137 GB.  After you upgrade to a post-SP1 version of Windows, look at your hard drive with Disk Manager (start-> Run-> "diskmgmt.msc").  It can show the rest of your unused space that you might then be able to allocate in a second partition.

If you want to keep one big partition, you will need to get a 3rd third party tool that can extend your current 137 GB partition to use more of the available space.  Google for it, plenty of them out there including those that are free.

    Hello

try to see here (method 2 - repair of the .NET Framework):

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/824643

Netfx.msi is part of dotnetfx.exe (main NetFramework 1.1 the installation package)

Dotnetfx.exe you can download here (the good language):

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=26

Use this method from the command prompt to extract the netfx.msi of dotnetfx.exe:

    1) click Start, click run, type cmd and then click OK.

    (2) at the command prompt, run the following command:

    % InstallationPath %\dotnetfx.exe /t:%temp% c: "msiexec.exe /fvecms %temp%\netfx.msi

In this way, you can extract netfx.msi in the TEMP directory.
