  I have a Satellite of the A40 Pro with onboard Intel 82852/82855 graphics. the current graphics driver on the Toshiba site is 6.13.10.3514 (dated December 19, 2003), but the current driver for the graphics card is 6.14.19 * (as dated February 8, 2006).

  I tried to install the software pivot for a monitor external, and to update the graphics drivers, so I downloaded drivers from the Intel site reference. They refused to install, so I checked the Toshiba site.

  The question is, why are the drivers of Toshiba so obsolete, and is there the intention to be updated in the near future?

  Very good question. I also wonder why some graphics card drivers are outdated.
  I read many comments in this forum, and it seems that the graphics drivers from Toshiba are not similar with the original manufacture graphics cards drivers.
  Graphics drivers from Toshiba are a bit changed. The graphics on laptops are different than the desktop graphics cards. Maps of the laptop is not a clean cooling module and so the pilots control performance and heat production.

  Sometimes different laptops are delivered with the same graphic card. In this case, it's a good idea to check the other drivers that are designed for different laptops with the same graphic card

  In a workgroup environment consisting of a Win 7 32-machine acting as a server and mixed 5 machine (Win 7 64 bit, Win 7 32 bit and XP), I get the following error message on any random on the network machine attempts to access a share on the Win 7 'server: '

  "No more connections are possible at this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept."

  In the past, I rebooted just the Win 7 'server' and it fixed the issue - for awhile.  Now, I'm tired of having to do it.

  I completely understand what means this error (i.e. of 20 exhausted max connections) as well on the Win 7 'server' I went into computer management > system tools > Shared Folders > Sessions.  Wow!  A single Win 7 machine on the network had 15 of the 20 connections available, and all these connections had been slowed for days - some as long as the last reboot 15 days ago.

  I restarted the machine and these 15 connections disappeared on the Win 7 server - as one might expect.

  I run "net config server" on both this machine as well as on the 'server' of Windows 7 machine and it sees to the idle disconnect time 15 minutes on both.

  Why these idle connections are not be released?  I'm not sure which side is to blame for hold on these - which side is disconnected?

  I have a theory that somehow connections to hidden shares (for example, //xy-server/backup_machine1$) are initially that as a backup program (Macrium Reflect) uses these, but I'm not sure at this point.

  Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

  You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

  Then perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Firefox Options (Preferences on Mac or Linux) as follows:
     • In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button

       

       then select Options Preferences on Mac or Linux, or Windows.

     • In 28.0 Firefox and earlier versions, click on the Firefox orange upper-left button, then select the 'Options' button or, if there is no button up Firefox, go to tools > Options.
  2. In the window of Firefox Options (or preferences), click on the Advanced tab, and then select general.
  3. You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
  4. Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

  Its been almost a year now. I love my computer. I have upgraded to Windows 10 with no probliems. Then, a few months later (now), my graphic drivers stopped working. I thought that the problem was easy to fix, because I don't update my drivers, never. So I upgraded the. I thought that my problems have been solved, but after a week, it has stopped working... once again. I downloaded the latest drivers again. Fast forward to today. Its been about 4 days. I was happy. Then, my applications started by saying that my drivers are incompatible for this product. Getting upset, I sent it to HP. Help, please. Are all I really need the drivers that meet in fact to my PC and last significantly longer than the drivers that I already had.

  My immediate response to your comment isn't that driver are bad, but they are updated more frequently. This is probably due to changes in the environment Windows 10. When I look at the support for your computer page, it displays multiple drivers for each graphics card options, and most have been updated in the last 4 days.

  You may find it useful to use the HP Support Assistant, to search for updates for you and a bit to automate the process or you know there are updates available.
