You can see this message under the Google search box on www.google.com/firefox which is the old default Firefox homepage. This page is no longer maintained by Google.
You should try to change your home page:

13 Firefox is the browser by default on my desktop and laptop, however, they have different menu systems. Why?
On my desk, I have the old menu system that I prefer no doubt because everything is in English and easy to see and search. For example, on the menu desktop there a Tools option where I can quickly erase my history and cache.
But on my laptop, it's the new paradigm where several menu commands are hidden and difficult to find, therefore, I do not like this new design. I don't understand why Firefox made this change, when the old system was much better and more effective.
Is there a way I can get the old system menu back on my laptop?

1. I'm not running XP, I use Win 7 on both systems.
2. nothing happened when I pressed the ALT key, the menu bar does not show upward and I'm frustrated. However, I kept trying, hold the ALT key and finally he appeared. I then checked the menu bar, and it seems as if it worked.

I recently installed Firefox 4 on my computer under re - install my OS. Firefox opens now with 2 tabs: my host specified, and to the right tab, a tab of the Firefox Support Home Page. I guess I did something to cause it, but how can I cancel it?
Reset your home page and make sure that only one tab is open when you set your homepage.

I have a form when submitted with errors, displays the same page with all controls populated with the values that were entered, so that the user does ' t having to re - enter data which are correct. But I can't do the same for a tag input of type "File".
How to capture the contents of this field and pass it to the form, so that the user doesn't have to repeat the navigation steps to specify the file to download.
I appreciate if you can give me some information.

PGIn a multipart (download files) form, the information in the input FILE is the file object itself, not the textual data. It is lost if an error occurs, and I'm not sure that you can pass around in anyway the management mistakes.

I like the fact that Firefox will save my passwords, but I don't want that to record the essential password like banking etc. When I enter my banking website, Firefox asks "I want to save this password". I click "never for this site". But the next time I'm on my Bank's Web site, he asks me the same question again and again.

You can control and manage permissions for the domain in the tab currently selected through these steps:

In case of accidents also please add a few recent crash ID that you can find on the subject: page hangs and which begin with a prefix 'bp '.
You can check for problems with the files that store the preferences.
Delete a possible user.js file and files numbered prefs-# .js and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all the prefs by default, including the prefs set via user.js and pref which is no longer supported in the current version of Firefox.

Google is a search engine, not a "web browser". Firefox features search engine Google by default, but you can easily use any search engine you want by changing the search engine in the search bar.

I have my browser open, work writing / reading email and BOOM, another tab opens and it's always the same web page. Why Firefox opens a new tab without any input from me? I don't have the suspect web page saved as a "favorite."
Nothing appears on no bug/virus/spyware/...et.al. programs. WHERE hides this pita? `I also have the problem. in my case that it is caused by an add-on, I installed recently. name of the add - on's Personas Rotator. I have just to disable the add-on and everything back to normal. just check your recent module, disable it and see if the problem persists.

The site "paperwishes.com" (card making supplies) plays videos of product for some of its products. A blue box shows the word 'Play' next to the item. When I clicked on this blue box last spring, he'd always play. He's now hit & miss. Sometimes, it will offer to play via MP4, but rarely. Their 'webisode' will play not (who played in the spring, as well). Cannot understand what has changed: Google update leaving Windows XP in the past?
Videos on the site can be read with an HTML5 player and do not use the Flash Player Plugin like a video I cheacked used HTML5 player when I right click on it. Actually, it turns out the link video was a Youtube video and YT uses the HTML5 player when possible and descends to Flash Player if need be if they always support such.
With a little work, you can get the video to work in Firefox on the old WinXP EOL of HTML5.

I rebooted the free version of the Firefox browser, about two months ago. Since then, whenever I navigate, with few exceptions, Firefox displays a message bar at the top of the screen saying "Firefox prevented this site" with the message, there is a checkbox asking ' ALLOW? When I check ALLOW it most of the time, I get a web page, BUT on some occasions, Firefox keeps just block the page.
Sites and pages that I refer here are for the most part, places of TRUST.
This happened since I rebooted. It was NOT a problem before that.
It is VERY annoying and I have since passed to Google Chrome.
If you can offer any reasoning or explain why this is happening, I will be grateful.

Sometimes with annoying frequency. The new facility of 32.0 is barely a month, but it happened a few days later. I left the window update run for 20 minutes. Nothing, never. Apparently it will never truly connect you. Nor will it update automatically when I click on the line 'About' on the drop-down list in the Firefox menu bar.
If he has problems with the update or with the permissions then best is to download the full version and trash the version currently installed to do a fresh install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox application and save the file to disk on the desktop image
