Why Flash Player constantly stop functioning

Windows 7 pro - IE 11.0.6 using...

I have to UN and re - install Flash Player almost constantly. Twice a week - really!

This has happened with versions 10 and the most recent - installation of 16 yesterday. No matter what.

Ten thousand forums and not one solution that has worked.

Everyone, anyone have any ideas?

The grey exclamation point is the icon of memory (OOM).  We have detected that you are running out of memory, we will try to free as much as possible, but if the content is allocate too much memory too fast, there is often nothing we can do to avoid that situation.  The crash dangerously, stop us running and stop the player.

If you use a lot of simultaneous tabs, it is probably a contributing factor.  If you have more than 2 GB of RAM and you are running a 32-bit operating system, which will limit the amount of available RAM to 2 GB.  Sometimes content is written just inefficiently and it does not release resources that are no longer used.  We will eventually force stuff should be deleted, but it's a last-ditch effort, garbage collection is CPU intensive and done at the wrong time, will cause games and videos on hitch and stutter.

If you get the OOM icon on a specific content, links would be useful.  If it is happening everywhere, a reboot at least made the problem goes away for a while?  If so, you can keep an eye on the Task Manager to see if certain tasks are constantly increasing over time.  Flash tasks will grow until they hit an upper limit, but then they should be periodically (as occurs in the garbage collection), and then push this upper threshold.  If other processes are unlimited growth, or you touch just a piece of content and immediately get the icon OOM, those who are really interesting clues.

  • Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially dangerous operation URLloader, URLrequest

    Hi all

    , I'm working on a flash site that loads direct inventory publish data from a csv file public google docs.  the csv file is located in a public address on the server of google docs: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?hl=en_US & hl = en_US & key = 0AlJnOKOffTSxdG5aU0RLLVFvc3B xblVXQlMtcnlFZVE & single = true & gid = 3 & output = csv

    I use a URLloader and URLrequest in my flash movie to retrieve these data and assign it to different variables.

    It works fine when I preview the movie in flash.

    However, when I publish the movie and preview the loading html file in dreamweaver, I get a warning from security of the adobe flash player: Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially dangerous operation

    I advanced and published the html file that contains the SWF for the web, and when I go on my site, I get even the reader flash, warning; It is just there like its trying to load the URLrequest and never complete.

    I understand that flash player has a security policy that prevents access to files outside of the directory on the server that the swf file is published to flash files.  I know that you can create strategy xml files to say flash, it's normal load data, but the policy files must be located on the public server where the data is be caught.   But it's not like I can waltz on google's servers a stick a policy in this file!

    Is there a way to tell the flash player that is correct load these data without getting that error of security?  I can't get the user to have to go in the settings of the flash and adding the location manually.  I just need to work without the security warning.

    Is there another method of loading data from an external server without tripping security flash player? aka, something other than URLloader and URLrequest?

    Here is the actionscript code that I use:

    loadInventory ("Text","https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?hl=en_US & hl = en_US & key = 0AlJnOKOffTSxdG5aU0RLLVFvc3B xblVXQlMtcnlFZVE & single = true & gid = 3 & output = csv" ");

    function loadInventory(product:String,_address:String):void {}

    var loaderData:String = new String();

    var loader: URLLoader = new URLLoader();

    loader.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, completeHandler);

    loader.addEventListener (Event.OPEN, openHandler);

    loader.addEventListener (ProgressEvent.PROGRESS, progressHandler);

    loader.addEventListener (SecurityErrorEvent.SECURITY_ERROR, securityErrorHandler);

    loader.addEventListener (HTTPStatusEvent.HTTP_STATUS, httpStatusHandler);

    loader.addEventListener (IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, ioErrorHandler);

    var request: URLRequest = new URLRequest (address);

    try {}

    Loader.Load (request);

    } catch (error: Error) {}

    trace ("unable to load requested document.");

    }

    }

    function completeHandler(event:Event):void {}

    var loader: URLLoader = URLLoader (event.target);

    importedData = loader.data;

    gotoAndStop (currentFrame + 1);

    }

    function openHandler(event:Event):void {}

    trace ("openHandler:" + event);

    }

    function progressHandler(event:ProgressEvent):void {}

    trace ("progressHandler loaded:" + event.bytesLoaded + "total:" + event.bytesTotal);

    }

    function securityErrorHandler(event:SecurityErrorEvent):void {}

    trace ("securityErrorHandler:" + event);

    }

    function httpStatusHandler(event:HTTPStatusEvent):void {}

    trace ("httpStatusHandler:" + event);

    }

    function ioErrorHandler(event:IOErrorEvent):void {}

    trace ("ioErrorHandler:" + event);

    }

    I would appreciate help with this.  Thanks in advance!

    use a local file (in your swf) to loading data cross-domain and access the local file with your swf file.

    Now, seriously, WHAT GIVES? I'm getting sick of watching videos on YT, then have suddenly cut them to a blank screen. And this journal is maybe 5 minutes at most after the uninstallation of most recent. In addition, this seems to happen ONLY to IE, I literally JUST started FireFox after this announcement, and it works fine there. So seriously, what the hell?

    Search for this file: C:\Users\Chris Cooper\AppData\Local\Temp\install_flash_player_ax_64bit.exe

    If you find it, delete it.

    What files are C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash folder when the problem occurs?

    Have you tried a fresh install? How to do a clean install of the Flash Player?

  • Adobe flash player affects the functioning of safari

    I recently updated to the latest version of Adobe flash player. Since then, I was not able to watch some videos on some sites, most of the sites don't load completely and freeze. The small swirly loading icon appears also way more that it uses also. I was wondering that if what is happening to someone else, as if there is something I can do to stop it.

    Open System Preferences > Flash Player and select the Advanced tab.

    Then click: clear all (under parameters and the navigation data).

    Quit and then restart Safari and then try a Flash video of base.

  • Why Flash Player began to harass with authorization request pop-up windows?

    During the last week, every time the video appears on a site, Adobe Flash Player has a settings popup appear. Why is this suddenly happening? There has never been a problem before.

    I don't want information stored anywhere, so I click on "Decline", but the message keeps popping up.

    I've upgraded to Flash Player 11, but he has not made a difference.

    I went into the control panel settings for Web site registration and selected 'None' and 'Never ask', but it makes no difference. The settings popup always appears, and when I get back on the Panel it has disabled "ask again" box.

    This problem is driving me crazy. I searched the web but can't find any answers. If there is a quick fix, I would be extremely grateful.

  • Why Flash Player is remove my documents

    I bought a 16 GB Flash Drive Glide.  I am a new owner of the laptop and my new computer has been invited to save the operating system that is installed at the factory (Windows 8).  I studied the size of a flashdrive to purchase (16 was enough).  After inserting the usb key, I registered but passed installs it offered software junky.  Then, I got 3 things to copy on it:

    1. my computer password Setup

    2. my operating system that is installed at the factory

    3. my drivers and utilities

    Problem: When I transferred my weak password configuration document, which has gone well but I decided to remove all other unnecessary files accompanying the flash player.  Then, I tried to back up my operating system and I got a prompt indicating that the usb flash drive needed to be formatted to transfer documents and all data on it would be lost.  So, I lost the first point that I have loaded on it.  Then, when I tried to transfer the utilities and drivers on it, I got a prompt indicating that all data on the usb drive would be erased to transfer because she had to be formatted again.  There is plenty of space for the files.  Why the all about usb drive it removes whenever I try to transfer something on it?

    Also, I'm now concerned that when I signed up the flash drive it may have set a few unnecessary files on my computer and I would like to remove them but I don't know where to get them.  All forum members assistance would be appreciated.

    Problem solved.  When copying on the USB, operating system backup Dell says "all data will be lost, press Yes to continue or no to cancel."  OK, my interpretation of this is that it will erase everything currently on my usb key.  No, apparently, means that Dell tells me backup, otherwise I will lose everything on my computer.  So, it's all a misunderstanding of what the guest means to me.

  • Why Flash Player is not installed?

    I have installed Adobe Flash Player 5 times, but I get a pop up dialog box telling me that I need to download an updated version.

    It is downloaded using 14.9 MB, but advice "blocked plugin" and can not watch videos on YouTube for example.

    Why is it so hard to do and why it is so complicated to get help?

    Two hours for uninstalling and installing.  Maybe my incompetence that it took so long but I think I finally found Flash Player!

  • Why Flash Player keep telling me to close safari when it is already closed?

    I tried to install Flash Player, but it keeps logging at this point where he says that safari should be closed, but it is already closed, or I close and then click on 'Retry' and it still does not work. I don't know what the problem is or where to go from here.

    Hello

    If you simply close the browser window, you quit smoking not in fact demand.  You must exit the application for Flash Player install.  There are a few ways to leave Safari:

    • Exit the app to the Dock icon:

      • The mouse on the icon of Safari in the Dock
      • Press CTRL and left click of the mouse at the same time
      • A menu will appear. Click on exit to close the application.
    • Use the activity monitor to finish Safari:

      • Start the activity of manufacturing/utilities/Activity monitor Monitor
      • Ensure that "All processes" are listed (top-right menu)
      • Find and select Safari
      • Click on the button 'Stop process' at the top left.

    HTH.

  • Why Flash Player is not silently updated to version 12?

    Hi, I'm looking for a 3 different computers. One is a Windows 7 32-bit, one is a Windows 7 64-bit and the other is a Mac with os x 10.8. All have version 11.9.900.170 installed. I have the mms.cfg file properly configured. I checked the Task Scheduler and it shows that it runs the update every hour with success. Yet it is not updated to the latest version of Flash player.  Also, I know that the 64-bit computer installs versions of 32 and 64-bit Flash player. Is the mms.cfg file must be in two places: C:\windows\System32\Macromed\Flash & C:\windows\SysWoW64\Macromed\Flash?

    Thank you

    Mark

    The problem isn't with the notification of update because the users do not have administrative permissions to do the installation anyway.  I was trying to understand why the silent update wasn't going to version 12. I found a FAQ which States that "Please note that major Flash Player release will prompt the user with a dialog was updated, allowing them to read the new key to release features.»  The user can choose to immediately update or automatic update will silently install the update 30 days after the realease. "So it seems to me that they would have 30 days after the release of the 14/01/2014 date, auto update or I can shoot using one of the methods in the administrators guide.

    Thank you

    Mark

  • Why Flash player crash with the edition instentally developer of Firefox?

    So I use the most resent the Developer Edition of Firefox and Flash Player seems to hang as soon as it is trying to load any flash element. I tried everything I can, relocations and others without success. The only thing I have not done is disable hardware acceleration, but it's because of Flash Player crashing until I can pull up the context menu to do so. I even turned off all extra add-on to ensure that those who were not the culprits.

    You can enable or disable this pref to true on the topic: config page to disable the safe_mode in the Shockwave Flash plugin:

    A. when I use the Flash Player for streaming videos, it gives me choppy playback. It * isn't * if I use great videos more weak because it chops even if I use the lowest quality on sites like Youtube.

    B. If I use Silverlight it diffuses nicely up to 2 Mbps but if I bring it to 3 Mbps, reading becomes agitated as well with the sound and graphics.

    It's my connection broadband incapacity?
    N °

    I have also an old fixed AMD Dual Core with Nvidia 8400 GS and the conncetion even: it broadcasts videos in Silverlight 3 Mbps without flaw.

    I tried with IE 11, Chrome and Firefox. I cleared the cache. I myself turned and on hardware acceleration, but with the same results.

    When I search the latest drivers for my Toshiba I am confused because I get several options, both for the sound card and graphics. How can I find out what driver versions, should I have installed?

    You have other solutions?

    /Henrik

    > A. When I use the Flash Player for streaming videos, it gives me choppy playback. No matter if I use great videos more weak because it chops even if I use the lowest quality on sites like Youtube.

    This is mainly related to the dissemination of slow data.
    You said its not related to your connection speed. Well, it shouldn't be a problem with your connection broadband but I m thinking about load on the server.

    You can find your devices in Device Manager.
    Device Manager provides you with information on all devices that are built in Notepad.
    But honestly GUYS, I'm sure that it s is not a driver problem.

    By the way: the laptop specs say that the laptop supports Intel HD Graphics 3000
    Intel HD GPU is an internal graphics card which does not provide for graphics performance a lot. However, it should be good enough for the video stream. However, you can only view the Intel HD panel support to improve the performance of the Intel HD GPU
