  I have good news and bad news.

  The good news is that the file opens correctly here in CS5.5 and CS4. The bad news is that this means that there is a problem with your CS4.

  I would start by trashing preferences. It's quick, easy to make and not too destructive, and if you're lucky, it will be able to solve the problem, but I would not put the chances of success more than 50-50. See replace your preferences

  You have a Time Machine backup? If you do, the next thing I'd like to try restoring the application folder InDesign from a time before the problem started.

  If all else fails, it's probably time to bite the bullet and get out of the installer. First try to run an installation to 'fix' on top of what's there. If this, too, goes down, then I would like to uninstall CS4, run the CS5 own tool (which can also clean up to CS4 - see resolve installation problems with the cleanup of CS5 tool), and then restart the computer and reinstall. If you have any custom stuff you must make copies of things like shortcut games and workspaces that you can replace as explained in the thread about resetting the prefs.

  I understand the need for user input and research to achieve a product because I designed a lot of myself, but this should be done internally behind closed doors... I tried to use UX and only found it frustrating and a waste of time since many big features I was looking for did not exist.   I'm sorry that you felt you couldn't do something useful with the current set of the features of Adobe XD. Before releasing publicly, we put the product to thousands of users in a private beta. Vision of the tool is to help you to quickly create interfaces, create interactive prototypes and share them publicly in a very short time. Talk to our private beta and collection of usage data, we found that we had reached a point where the tool was delivering this value to some of our users. In addition, we had up to a point where our interior designers used Adobe XD XD design. Product Manager, I also found value in XD to quickly mock flow I've done previously in Keynote, but find a lot faster to create now.
