    Hi all

I just have a question. Why lightroom 4 (full version) will not import pictures directly from my Canon 7 d, after the connection to my laptop with USB (Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit)?

Lightroom will find all files, even on full CF card.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Martin,

If you attach the camera to your computer, it appears under start/devices and printers like the Canon EOS 7 d?

In any case, I think you should move the firmware to 1.2.5 as it was setting so some CF related issues. Maybe this will help for you. You can get the http://usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/slr_cameras/eos_7d#DriversAndSoftware firmware installation is easy and takes only a few minutes.

  • Why Lightroom matter only a few pictures of the disk file?

I'm really having trouble getting started with Lightroom which is supposed to help me organize my photos but rather manages to confuse me.

I tried to import all the photos in a folder on drive existing and whereas only a certain number, less than a 1/3 in this case. I noticed that in another folder already, so I have at the moment, can't trust Lightroom to show me the contents of my photos from disk. No idea why this is happening? without any warning I see?

Lightroom said that because you have previously imported this exact photo into Lightroom. If you know the name of the file of one of these photos that won't matter, go in the Lightroom library Module, open the filter (with the backslash key) bar, click text, set the file name drop, then enter the name of the file in the field there and press ENTER.

Lightroom will find the file in its library. If you want to know it is in the folder, right click on the photo that was found, then select go to folder in the library.

  • LR Mobile: How ot delete pictures after import / cloud storage questions

I use the subscription of creative photography of cloud on my Mac, the iPhone and the iPad. Associated with photoshop Lightroom Mobile, I have a few questions:

    1. News photos are imported successfully to LR Mobile right after that I opened the application Mobile from LR.
      1. Is it possible to import pictures for the moment when they are taken, or what I have to consciously open the request to get imported and synchronized later to the cloud?
      2. After importation, the pictures remain in the iPhone photo library. Y at - it an option to automatically remove photos from there?
    2. Probably my mistake, but I couldn't find any information on the amount of cloud storage that is available for the Lightroom / Mobile sync. For subscriptions other than mine, an amount of 20 GB "cloud storage" is mentioned, but nothing about the type of photography only. Could you point me to an official document that describes these conditions?

1.1. No, you need to open MRL

1.2. No, Apple let LrM delete iPhone library. So yes, it is a pain, and you have to remember to do it yourself.

As far as I know, there is not a limit for the part LrMobile of this plan, that's why you can't find not documented. I thought that there was a limit of 2 GB of storage other than MLA cloud.

  • Why Lightroom did not save my pictures?

Yesterday, I spent 7 hours editing photos in Lightroom 4. I exported then those published. Today, I came home to find that most of them had saved changes. Why is this? I have exported photos, but the Moose are not changed. I pulled all of my photos in RAW format. What happened and how can I solve this problem? Here are the senior pictures and my client must then as soon as POSSIBLE. Help, please.

I know I shouldn't get involved here.  Rob did a great job.  But you're looking at a collection, not the folder that contains the images.  Locate one of these images in the catalog, right-click on it and choose, "go to the folder in the library." This should take you to the real folder and you should be able to see all your images, including those published.

  • Why my photos RAW Monochrome became color after import in Lightroom 4?

Recently, I took pictures with my EOS Kiss X 4 and have put the monochrome pictures in different shades, but when after I imported the LR4 they became colored. Is this because I took the RAW photos?

    Flynstar wrote:

I used LR3 but I don't remember using RAW before, this is the first time I used the FIRST and put a picture on Monochrome, does that mean that the photo will be automatically replaced by its format of origin (in full color and default settings) when it's a RAW file bit matter monochrome settings?

Yes, by default, it uses adobe standard (except if you have installed LR to use a different profile by default).

but I Don t that your camera... so I Don t know if LR has the style of B & W photo.
Take a look at the profiles of camera calibration. If there is a B & W profile you can change this manually.

but you can always use RAW software own guns. DPP will honor the camera settings.

  • Why are there more white space around an imported picture?

I did an image format JPEG2000 calibrated at 119 pixels wide by 142 pixels maximum. Went to convert it into a pdf and Acrobat file allowed himself to enlarge the size of the images of what I suppose is the smallest size, supported by the format.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem without having to open and edit the pdf file directly? You know, when you export.

    Acrobat version: XI Pro

1 "x 1" has long been a minimum of Acrobat, but at least it now shows you the blank page instead of staying. Acrobat does not care a bean of size in pixels, inches, so it works the resolution (which I think is 300 dpi) is to determine the size. If this is an option, use a lower resolution. If this is not the case, just how it will be, I think.

  • Why do I see. jpg.swp files after importing the photos?

Filling of additional files with my hard drive. JPG.swp files after I import photos from a camera or memory card.

    What is?

Why this happens for some files but not others?

What can I do to stop what is happening?

    My guess:

    * you have auto-save XMP and Lightroom think he should save XMP, but has a problem doing so, and eventually leave the remains of jpg.swp instead...

In any case the problem is caused by the inability to re - write the files jpg, which usually occurs only (not scheduled) during the recording of metadata.

    For the workaround for now:

    * turn auto-radier XMP, and/or

    * without saving the jpeg metadata.

    Long term solution:

    * Adobe must obtain their ship handling all of the metadata of jpeg, and if I hadn't my way, an option to re - write the original files and metadata for all types of files and virtual copies as xmp sidecars.

In my opinion, if jpeg (or other metadata) cannot be saved correctly, the user must be notified, a repair option should be re - write jpeg with the new block of metadata includes all metadata salvagable.

If I could be something here?

  • Lightroom does not display the photo after importation.

Currently, there are 3 pictures in a folder.  I saved two more in this folder with photoshop CC

at a time in tiff and psd format.  I imported as usual, but the photos are not displayed in the "library" window

If I try to import the pictures are greyed out, as if they were already listed.

I found the problem.  The photos have been duplicated and in another place where they should not have been.  I did a search all photos and thought it was them.  Once I knew it was easy to fix.  Thanks for the suggestion though.

  • 8 MB dump file becomes more than 10 GB after importation

    Hello

I had a dump to load into the database. the dump file size is about 8 MB

But when importing a database it is becaming more than 10 GB.

I just extend up to 10 GB. To make the import command ended with an error.

Now, what can be the problem and how to fix it.

    Please suggest.

    Thanks in advance

    Concerning
    Gatha

If your dump file is 8 MB, the data themselves are also less than 8 MB (unless it is very very strongly compressed, I don't think it is).

Just go ahead and import the dumpfile (with IGNORE = Y so that it won't matter the lines flawlessly on the statement CREATE TABLE, simply because the table already exists).

  • How to move pictures after importation

For me, this issue is always the most difficult thing in LIghtroom. Have not found a quick, intuitive way for this.

I matter and I think that by default, LIghtroom "previous import."

So I want to drag around the images to your liking, but they do not move.

You then create a quick collection, but this does not work, when I click on it.

And then I'm supposed to get the orginial folder? -could be 5 folders deep? Still lost, sorry.

Right-click on an image and choose go to folder in the library.

  • In Lightroom, developing the original window and after photos are different even before treatment

I'm a newcomer to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC 2015.4 but found after importing photo in the window to develop and duplication of the view forward and after that, the photo is different from the original before even I did any changes. Surely, they should be the same. Is it normal or I do something wrong?

Well, it's a shot in the water, but I think it was affecting a case recently where a defective monitor due to profile either the front or after the image do not display at all, so I thought the sRGB monitor profile could be worth trying.
