  I recently installed the latest update of Lightroom CC on 09/12/15. I imported a bunch of pictures of customer so that I can make an album. I made this countless times before, but this time, when I've imported the photos and entered the book module it exceeds all the photos but do not give me a model for a front and back cover. Is it hidden? I searched everywhere on lightroom to try to fix it, but can't see what I can change. I even stop and restart Lightroom, but the same thing happens. No rear and front cover. What can I do? Help, please.

  So, I'm working on this book using the book, the most recent copy of LR of Cloud module.  I have 400 pictures in the book.  Now, what I want to do is to go through the photos in the book and put them in the develop module so I can make sure they are optimized (color corrected, sharpened, looking their best).

  If I was in the library module I would have chosen a picture and press a ' go to the develop module.  So I'm in the book module and I want to select an image and go on policy-making to examine it.  It seems it had "works but she just takes me to develop and display the last image I didn't that I selected in the open book module."

  Anyone know if this is possible?  And if not, how do you jump through collections looking for 400 images to deal with?

  Normal workflow would be-

  Select a picture on the film under the layout of book and press [D]

  Or click on the image in the layout of the pages of book and press [D]

  If this does not work for you (and you must open the incorrect image) so maybe a reset preferences or a deletion of the file Previews, can fix.

  You have created a book 'saved '?  in the tab above the layout of the book. (not a standard collection)

  That work always the book 'saved' in the Collections Panel?

  Can you open the "Saved book" collection from the library grid view and select and develop an image from there?

• LR book module text changes disappear...

  Book LR module loses some wording changes after going to the library and return.   Have you tried to copy the book and then change the copy?

  TO copy a book-Right click on the name of the Collection of books and choose "duplicate book." Change the "exemplary" of the white arrow.

• Book module does not show my cat ' images today. Refuses to add some too.

  Most of the images in my Lr catalog are not displayed in Lr / Book module now.

  While in the book module, for some reason, all 160 pictures I have loaded in the Lr catalog for this book Blurb can't be seen, they were there yesterday!

  The button filters tells me there is no set of filters.

  The only images are those that have been used in the presentation of yesterday plus a few duplicates.

  I rebooted the lack of images, file / import / copy but they simply start another Blurb book with a picture by page and in the process simply overwrite the previous layout of book to date.

  What Miss me? I've closed down, reloaded from the Lr catalog, but the result is the same, 60 - ish photos, less than half than in the original Lr catalog.

  I'm using Lightroom CC and I've updated the program, and now the book has disappeared. What can I do? I exported it before I've updated, thankfully, but they are PDF files and does not help me with the book of finishing. How can I recover it?

  Please check open the correct catalog file in Lightroom.

  Go to the file menu > open recent and open all the recent catalogs and see if you can find your book.

• Book Module error "Unable to contact Web Blurb"?

  I used Lightroom successfully in the past to download a book without any problems. I am running the newest version of Lightroom v 5.6. I have just finished a new book and get the error message "could not contact the Blurb Web Service. Check your internet connection. "My internet connection is fine, my firewall and anti-virus are turned off, I rebooted my computer and Lightroom. The same problem.

  My research has shown, it is a very common problem, but all the forums I found have no answers on how to solve the problem. All the posts I found on this problem are either unanswered or suggest things like turning off and on again 'uncheck apply background in the world' and other stuff related to the background and the text, or change the style of the cover back, etc.. None of them worked for me.

  I'm ordering this book as a wedding for a client album and it is URGENT that I get the order uploaded in the next few days, or I'll have to refund the payment to its customers and lose the work, which would be extremely professionally embarrassing. I am VERY frustrated and are very keen to waiting customers. PLEASE HELP ASAP!

  I solved the problem of Lightroom book Module 'impossible to contact the Blurb Web Service. Please check your internet connection. »

  With the help of telephone technical support of Adobe Lightroom, a very patient man named Himanshu helped me to discover what was causing this problem, after research on the issue and call me back. Nice touch Adobe! It was nice to be able to do other things while Himashu researched and consulted other technicians to find my solution.

  As very many other people have reported in the user forums, the problem is not that I have no Internet connection.

  The problem was caused by Windows 8 settings my PC of the user account, which had somehow the Internet settings that conflict with the Blurb since Lightroom download. Adobe Lightroom tech support person helped me to create a new user account, and I'm able to download successfully to Blurb from Lightroom under the new account. We have created a quick try test book and it works beautifully under the new user account.

  Don't know how this solution would translate to a MAC user (I read people with Mac computers, get the same download error), but I advise to check the settings of your Internet user account, regardless of the type of computer you are using.

  The minor glitch, I still is that my new Windows user account can not access my photo files (or any other file) from my old user account, even when I gave the new user account administrative access. I have a very large internal hard drive, so my photos & catalog are stored internally. Lightroom support advised me to contact Lenovo (the manufacturer of my computer) using transfer all my files from my original to the new user account that I just created. I will do it very soon.

  Meanwhile, my temporary workaround solution had to export my Lightroom Catalog and photos I'd need for this book on an external hard drive, so I could access it from the new user account. The my wedding guests book has been uploaded successfully to Blurb!

  I share so others with this problem by uploading from Lightroom on Blurb may also find that this solution works for them, too.

• Models of very limited LR4 book Module

  I am designing an album in Lightroom for the first time and looking for very own page layouts with lots of white space for wedding albums.  I found a model with two vertical images that I liked a lot, but all the options available have some sort of funky black outline around them!  I can't believe that they understand not just one of the same thing without a contour.  They really need to have the opportunity to develop your own templates!

  I feel so frustrated by this, and it seems that other people experienced the same thing earlier this year from what I've seen online.  I love book Module, but it is useless to me as it is.  Anyone know if an update is planned to address this issue?

• LR4 - book Module - none of the custom formats?  Automatic layout works only on odd pages?  Bug reports.  Thoughts.

  I'm a photographer wedding and Portrait Professional & thought it may be useful to others & Adobe to share some thoughts and questions.

  I just ordered LR4 yesterday 3/7, as soon as I saw he is out =) I'll have the software delivered to me, but in the meantime, I downloaded the trial version of the LR4 which I started to play with today.  BTW is identical to the full version trial version but active only for 30 days?  Or some of its limited features?

  I had a few questions about the book module.  Some of them I think that are bugs.

  • Is it possible to enter in custom formats?  I don't see that see there is an option for 5 sizes and impossible to find another option.
  • I tested the automatic layout function.  It automatically layout, but only on odd pages, even pages are left in white.  Could not find a way to settle this.  (Updated, I like the white page feature, it gives extra room for manoeuvre to change the page layouts and for me it's easier to delete a page that Add.)
  • When you add favorite layouts I can't add page spreads to my favorites.
  • When I press tab to get rid of the side windows, I can't scroll further down in the book.
  • The navigation on the left and right arrow buttons do not directly work in the main screen.

  It would be nice to have more control over preferences in the book such as the particular custom formats Module.  As it is, it feels unusually restrictive.  That said I am very excited by the possibilities that this may cause.  From now on I'd still certainly the final layout in PS, but I hope I do the initial design approximate layout using this new book module.  Looks like it could save a lot of time and be much easier to do this step in PS.

  Let me first, I'm not an expert on ledger. Yes, I used it for a while, but many components of the module are much too dark for my taste. In fact, you have identified certain aspects that left me scratching my head for the months, not hours or days.

  1. Custom formats is not directly supported at the present time, but I understand that users will be able to create their own page/models using Adobe Illustrator. I can't say when this facility will be available well.
  2. To change a page layout (left/right pages, etc.), you need open the Preset automatic page layout editor. To do this, choose the form Edit Auto Preset layout from the menu editor drop-down preset (directly under the header Panel automatic layout)
  3. Have noticed this myslef, I don't remember if it is a bug or a design limit.
  4. Not seeing this problem, it works very well on Mac OS X. try clicking on the scroll bar to make it active, it may help.
  5. Yet once again, not seeing this problem, the left and right buttons in the main window of content move from one page to another.

  It is also interesting to note, in case you have not discovered yet, preferences located under the menu book book. This is where you define what metadata are used to auto fill in the areas of text (for example, title or legend).

  I expect that one or more of the other pre release testers who spent more time than me in this module will probably be able to fill the gaps.

  • If these other devices access the account via POP, they most likely delete messages from the server when this device checks for messages.
  • If these other peripheral access via IMAP account, if they move or delete a message as the message is the same for all of the other devices that access that email account.

  From your post, I understand that old emails are deleted after a month. This can be due to behaviors of the mailbox defined for your iCloud account.

  The following article explains how to look at these settings. My suspicion is that the section "permanently erase deleted messages when:" is set at one month old.

  Use Mail preferences to set or change options for e-mail accounts , you use mail and to work with messages and mailboxes. Choose Mail > Preferences, and then click a preferences panel for the options:

  • Accounts: Add, remove, and disable your email accounts in mail. Use only the part of the mailbox behaviors to control how the project, junk, sent, and deleted (or "Basket") messages are stored. Advanced pane includes options for messages, attachments and more.
