• Some .exe files do not immediately start after a double click.

  Some .exe files do not immediately start after a double click. However, the CPU usage is in place and I can see the name of the image file in the Task Manager process. But when you double-clicked once again, it opens and the CPU usage is even higher. It's like running two same .exe files. I already ran Microsoft Security Essentials to remove all viruses if that's the case, but it did not help. Is there something wrong with the files?

  This happens because your antivirus starts to scan the file when you try to run it. You can check by

  1 disable antivirus real-time protection (note to Moderator: not recommended!) and try to run the file again
  or
  2. open Task Manager > go to processes (or details if it is WIndows 8) > run file > monitor processes belongs to antivirus to see if they consume the CPU power
  If this is the case, it is made by antivirus normal safety measure to keep you protected.

  Some websites will not load or partially charge and will be usually just load the site title and nothing else and will have a spinning wheel at the top which will not stop.
  They tend to work on FF before, but no more.

  Also, when I click on another link or something like that it will show the whole page as it is supposed to be for the duration it takes to switch the clicked link. I can, for example, (though I'm pretty fast) click on another link and then cancel it and I'll be able to see the page (in some really weird stuff).

  I read something about Java Script doing this problem, I turned off Java script and I could see some of the sites, but Needless to say that certain features of the Web site are lost.
  Happens on websites very little well but still enough to annoy me. I don't like not only 2 or 3 sites from switching browsers.

  Verification on a site I built two years ago, I noticed that the png header does not load. Instead, I can see the last web page that I was reviewing, as if the header area is an invisible window. Site is OK in Safari, and OK on another Mac, just not mine.

  I've read so many posts on this problem... my head is spinning!  One thing I hear is that it is not a question of MS, but a Web site.  I'm certainly not a computer genius, however, I have lived a little MS and IE remakes and I've never had a problem of creating an icon of office from a Web site that visually represented the site he has created.  Never had a problem, that is, until I downloaded IE8!  Half of my icons now appear as either the generic IE icon, the planet or a white 'piece of paper', with a small icon in the middle.  Most of them is all the icons I had on my desk for a long time.  Despite the fact that those who are kind enough to offer their wisdom and advice freely insist that this is how it has always been, a website, not a MS, problem, I disagree.  The common denominator almost people who have posted about this or similar questions, seems to be ie8.  Although several workaround solutions have been posted on other forums, the problem remains... that there is a problem!  A solution is what is required, and it's a shame that Microsoft has so little recognition for the source of their success, they continue to ignore this issue!

Whenever we see problems with updates and downloads of the app, it's a good idea to disconnect from the App Store by clicking on the Store menu and selecting "logout".

  Then, you restart the Mac and reconnect and see if it will download updates. If the problem persists, test the behavior in safe mode by following the steps in this article: try safe mode if your Mac does not start-up.

• Windows will not start completely after you apply updates 14/08/2012.

  The windows startup screen appears, and then the screen turns white with just the cursor.  The cursor is mobile.  Make a start with a lit boot record, it seems that many drivers do not load.

  When processed the update restart and the laptop it worked fine for a few minutes, but then blue screened with a network driver error.  He continued to do so at every reboot.

  If you are not able to get safe mode then there is a lot of damage has been done.

  I suggest slaving the hard drive to another computer to back up your data (or a boot disk OS which you leave copy on a USB device and backup your stuff).

  Then wipe the hard drive clean (DBAN or KillDisk - both are free) and then using system restore restore disks.

  My computer runs Windows 7 Home Premium, and I have problems connecting to the majority of Web sites. The only ones that work are those that are very small such as google and wikipedia.   Oh my gosh, I'm really sorry for posting this now, I just went and found out that I was going through a proxy server for some reason any. That's why there was no error message, no effect based on browser, and why did the basic commands have no effect.

  For example, Jockey.com. Website of charge very well. Select for men, women or whatever. When I select a category below nothing happens. Works fine in IE8. Did I miss an add-on? FIrefox is not say that I am.
