Why stand alone application activation

Hello

I have created an installer for a project that uses NI VISION and I deployed in another computer. After installing the application into another system, NI VISION application activation code.

I have the full version licensed NI VISION installed in my computer. But in the application running on another system to request activation of license or using a trial version.

So, the question is "why request activation?

The run-time license is different (and cheaper) than the development license. Your deployed application requires the run-time license, not the development license.

Could you let me know if we could assign RTP for a business rule created through the Manager of calculation for Essbase stand-alone application (not activated EMPA)? I created a business rule in calc, Manager of a standalone version of Essbase (essentially copied the contents of a calculation script and saved in a new business rule). The rule completed successfully, however the RTP section is disabled when I tried to create a variable for this rule.

Attempted to create a global variable, but could not find him under the knot, essbase. This means that by the RTP can be created only for requests that are active-EPMA? We are currently in version 11.1.2.2

No, not in 11.1.2.2 you must be on 11.1.2.3 or higher, as says 11.1.2.2 ""execution prompt variables can be used in the planning of business rules. " "

Motion IS a stand-alone application. It is mainly designed to make effects for Final Cut Pro X, but it is not necessary to have with FCPX nor is it necessary to have FCPX to create projects for other purposes. When you open the query, simply select project of work outside the FCPX motion. You can save regular projects of Motion anywhere on your system.

  • stand alone application with DAQ

    Hi all

I had a problem with my stand-alone application in the target computer.

My program has a under that VI named Igenerator, which generates the current with the NI 9265 connected with all 4 channels.

When the installation of the application program, I have construction included applications NOR-DAQmx development and thereby support

target Setup that my application could be opened correctly on the computer.

However when running the application in my computer (with the NI 9265 connected), the outcome of the program that I can

see that there is no power out of NI 9265, so this is a problem to transfer my original computer DAQ hardware parameters where

the project has been generated to my target computer, isn't it?

To solve the problem, I found this link: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/5406/en, seems that the trick is in the final stage of construction

the installer I should include a hardware configuration. But how? This link fails to clarify this for me, and I tried to "configure."

and export all my task of current generation of MAX in the file "configdata.exe" and I clicked on 'Building', it seemed fine, but in my target

computer after that I configured Setup, my request still has no output current of NI 9265.

Someone got any idea how I could achieve that? And an any mistake of my procedures, I did? Thank you

  • Problem with stand-alone application

Hello. It's my first time here in NOR. Need for support from the masters. This is the situation.

    Main problem: image display

When I try to do a stand-alone application, the "image display" vi will not work. I'm missing DLL here? Nothing seems wrong with the vi or the vision. I can make KING in the external window, etc.

I also tried to make a simple program that displays a white image using the image Board, but there is still no display.

I can also ask what dll is required to make a labview program stand alone with vision and imaq.

    Hello

To deploy an application that uses the functions of the Vision Development Module, you need the runtime of the Vision and a license of execution for this on the deployment computer. If you use the NO-IMAQdx driver for use with firewire and GigE cameras, you also have a license for Acquisition of Vision software on desktop deployment.

If you do not use the functions of the Vision Development Module or driver OR-IMAQdx, all you would need is the driver OR IMAQ. The Image display control began with NOR-IMAQ 2.6, so make sure that you install a version of NOR-IMAQ that supports the control of display Image and LabVIEW 7.0 on desktop deployment. Please refer to this Web page to check the compatibility of the versions of NOR-IMAQ and LabVIEW: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/6B55FF09D1FBD3108625719600650B7C?OpenDocument .

  • Using PHP to develop stand-alone applications

Hello, is it possible to use my existing PHP skills to develop a stand-alone application for the PlayBook? (offline)

There is a product called Adobe ' Flash Builder for PHP ", but after having waded through tutorials, I'm not sure if this is the right product. Tutorials mainly speak on the development of a web application that allows the connection to the server live, which is not what I want.

No, PHP is a language server side, not for applications on the client side. If you know PHP you know probably HTML5/JS too, then WebWorks would probably be the best place to start. If you want to go on the road to Flash/AIR, you will need Flash Builder 4.6 (standard or premium will do) or Flash Professional CS5.5.

  • Stand-alone application

    Hi all

We can create a CAPEX planning module as a stand-alone application?

    Kind regards
    Blanchon

Yes it is possible, when you create a planning application you can just choose to have some Capex as the only type of plan.

  • Using Creative Suite as a stand-alone Application

I currently use Visual Basic as an operating shell to manage databases, Flash files and MS Office applications in a 'stand-alone application.  I am considering the purchase of Adobe Web Premium to perform the same functions and possibly convert it to a web site.  When references to literature marketing 'application' am I have reason to believe that I can use Web Premium autonomous under the name?  Also, can I access MSOffice files or just the PDF files?

    Thank you

    Mike

The web premium suite is a collection of programs designed for creating content as well as create and manage a Web site. It is compatible with Microsoft Office, but has no Office for its operation. It can work with files created in the Office.

I tried to create a stand alone vi with the Build Application or shared Library (dll) in LabVeiw 7.0

When I put it on another PC to test it I get the error "cannot find DAQmx clear task.vi.

the other PC also has 7.0 and 8.1 DAQmx Labview.

    Hi LabTech09,

When you run the executable file on the other computer, that's when you get this error?  You have the same exact versions of DAQmx and LabVIEW on both computers?  Is the dialog box allow you to navigate to the clear task.vi DAQmx?  If so, you can find these screws in C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 7.0\vi.lib\DAQmx\configure\task.llb.  The executable runs on the development computer (the machine, it was compiled on)?

  • Why remote debugging of a stand-alone application takes too long - if image capture?

    Hello

I create an executable file for LabVIEW build specifications is that the images to grab and display in front panel. I use a vision machine for this camera.

I'm a waiter VI enable and debugging while that build the remote execuitable. Now the problem is when I connect the remote debugging technique, clint and developer pc .exe file becomes very slow. The images are updated after a very long time if the camera is triggered after 100 ms.

What is the reason behind this?

    What is the solution?

I think it's because you decide to display the video image on the front.

Having to send the contents of the image on the network for debugging can take considerable CPU/network resources to package the image on the front panel, compress it (if she does) and sent over the network.

You debug remotely or on the same network? If the network connection is poor will also have an impact.

You can try to make the size of the image on the smaller front to see if it improves it? Maybe also try your image in the executable file scale reduction before posting (so it displays less data on the front panel).

  • cRIO, shared Variables & stand-alone application

    Hello!

I developed an application very simple acquisition of analog (NI9215) and the activation/deactivation of outputs signals digital (NI9472) using a cRIO (9012). Data are transmitted to the host through shared variables program.

I created an executable of the code to be run by the cRIO, set it to the "launch on startup" and it worked.

I did the same thing with the hosting program and created an exe installer. As I use variables shared the result of acquisition of pipes, I have them placed in the support directory (data) when you generate the executable file (Distribution.exe).

This executable works perfectly on my computer.

I used the Setup program to install the program on another computer. This computer as its IP address in the same subnet as my computer. But shared variables ever offer data other than their default values so I guess there is a problem of communication...

    Can someone help me?

    Hi zyl7,

    Thanks for the post!

This is a common problem - I think...

The problem is that you need to deploy two seté variables shared by two of the llb. You need 'real' variables on the cRIO - and deploy manually (see link) and a second llb on the host pc, which are related to real variables on the cRIO. This is because the local computer get variables shared, which of course are not those with the cRIO data locally.

    Perhaps in clearer terms.

When you make an exe of a project using shared variables, you must have a local copy of the variables on the deployment computer which are then related to the 'real' shared variables stored on the target - cRIO, in this case.

This means that in the view of your project:

    (1) Create static variable in the normal Manor on the cRIO.

    (2) create variables shared on the host PC - llb under the Pc host in the project and then select the aliasing and how to link to YOUR PSP.

Let me know how it works,

    Kind regards

  • Network streaming - stand-alone application

    Hello
I wrote two screws that communicates with network streaming, they work very well. I have applied (Build .exe) and try to run as both standalone applications. They cannot allocate each other.
Probably, the definition of the endpoint URL should be changed due to construction.
    Please advice.
    Gabi

Congratuations - you ran in a very subtle point that NEITHER has not explained well!  The 'official' name of an endpoint is:

neither. DEX://host_name: nom_du_contexte/endpoint_name.  As NEITHER explained somewhere, the name of the Protocol, "ni.dex:", is not necessary.  They also explain that, when the host_name is 'localhost', she also is not required.  What is less clear, is "What is the way?"

This turns out be the name of the application that runs under the specific end point.  When you run mode development, programming of your application and test it by pressing the arrow to run, the application is "LabVIEW" (technically, it's 'LabVIEW.exe', but also the .exe is not necessary).  As is the way by default (without papers), you need not put it in the string.

However, when you build executable files, the context changes.  To clarify, I built executables called 'My Host' and 'My Target' (especially if there is no error between the VI, 'Host.vi' and the executable file, 'My Host.exe"instead of"Host.exe").  In Target.vi, I changed the strings to flow to start //localhost:My target, and in Host.vi, I changed the specifications for the URL target to include ": my goal."  Extracts showing these changes are included here.

Either way, I could not host and target screws you have included in your ZIP file to work in development mode, so I started, taking the host and target live of my examples of LabVIEW 2012 directory, copy them into my LabVIEW in My Documents folder and a new construction project.

Note that, as written, this version of the code will work only as an executable file (because the way is no longer LabVIEW).  If you want to write a routine that will work in the development and Run-Time environments, simply look at some properties for the Application.  I didn't think to do that until I already wrote this note, that is why this code is not in the previous examples.  However, it is probably better written as a Subvi, as it should be used by the host and target live

Good luck.  Let us know if this fixes the problem for you.
