  The totals do not usually display for two reasons:

  1. There is an error in your code that prevents a total of calculation - such as the presence of a NULL value
  2 discoverer protects you from yourself by not generating results that would be in error - such as the Cartesian joins or replicated elements

  A couple of things to try are:

  1. turn the formula for the calculation of the AMOUNT to the SUM of the CELL
  2 change the aggregation tab settings in the Options screen (Tools |) Options) and drop a notch to use the default value to the next on the list (indicate the values that cannot be aggregated) - If this does not work, try a drop to lowest level (see the sum in cells that help)
  3. If you still have a problem, it is possible that you duplicated items - out of the box discoverer will not be the sum

  To resolve the problem of duplicated elements requires that you add a new parameter to your registry called AllowAggregationOverRepeatedValues. There's a good note to this subject on MetaLink called Subtotal and total big showing blanks in Discoverer Desktop like note number: 358707.1
