Why the psd files to effective ppi of 909 look so bad? CS4

I have the perfect image for my project. It's a 300 ppi image that looks a lot like the PS, but when placed in the ID and reduced to 33% of original size, it's horrible - even the scale before. Never had this problem before

Confused

Here are the screenshots:

Same effective psd into ID @ 909-ppi file

It isn't that I don't use a high quality display. Tried that. In addition, all other images seems good.

Thank you all.

Paul

Make sure if allow object-level display settings is checked under view > display performance value high quality screen you have the object level setting (click with the right button on the image and choose the display performance) high quality display of the value or if the parameter usage view value, make sure that this point of view > display performance is set on high quality screen (default is typical). If the display object level is not selected, change the setting from high quality view to control all the previews.

The other possibility is that the link must be updated.

  • Why the PSD files and png pixelated in Illustrator?

Help! I am very new to Illustrator, but moderately to well known with Photoshop. PSD and png created in Photoshop look pixelated and serrated in Illustrator, but excellent in other programs. Why is this?

Thanks in advance for any advice/help!

That's about all. Most of the things in Illustrator are well on the printed page. Function of the printer, you get crappy results, since some desktop printers print on the screen.

When you want to see like in Photoshop, you'll have to zoom in to 300andsomething %.

  • the .psd file size is meaningless for me

I hope someone can explain the size of the huge .psd files that I see.

I have a Canon 7 d and shoot first.  I have a raw file that is 24.6 MB and is a pixel image 3456 x 5184. I then open with ACR and do nothing but save it as a file .psd of 16 bits with the same image resolution (pixels).  The .psd file is 102.5 MB.

By my Calc a 3456 x 5184 x 2 bytes (16 bits) is 35.8 MB uncompressed.  Yet the .psd is nearly 3 times that size before it is already open in Photoshop.

Can anyone explain why?  My 256 GB drive ate like a bunch of breath mint...

    Your assumptions are false.

    the "16 bit" RGB data have 3 colors per pixel bits x 16 per color.  Thus, 3456 x 5184 x 6 bytes = 107 MB and change.

The raw file, I remember well, 14 bits per photosite of measurement data that has not been debayered.  The scope that one color of light is measured by photosite.

Canon CR2 raw format and both include the Photoshop PSD format and compression without loss.

I hope this helps clear of the things up.

I use Dreamweaver 2015 and I can't download the psd file. My article is inactive and am not able to access. Can someone help me on this.

Create or open an HTML file.   Snippet generates the CSS code, but it does not create your HTML file for you.

How do you get the PSD file considered thumbnail or icon in Explorer 64-bit of Windows 10 files previously known as Windows explorer?

I don't want to see the PSD file in a viewer separate images, but as a tile directly on the file Explorer. If she has the RAW ability is even better.

Free is the best but I'm willing to pay.

  • How to restore the PSD file accidentally crushed by preview after the closing?

    Hello

I recently registered and closed a file psd with many layers, and now when I opened it again it is a flattened image.  According to me, which may occur in the East after closing photoshop, I wanted to take the last look at the image and opened it in preview.  After saw closing and stop of my laptop, I have opened the image this morning and now it is flattened but still a psd.  Usually an excerpt asking you if you want to make changes to the images, but I never got a notification (recently updated to Yosemite, then maybe this feature is no longer available)

Is it possible to restore the psd for the last time that I saved it in photoshop?  I heard that there is a way to read your story/brush strokes in your last session (scripts?) but I'm not entirely sure of how this works.  Help, please!

    Thank you ~.

    Problem solved!

It turns out that Preview has the opportunity to restore the images to what they were before the changes have been made.  By doing this I revenue the psd file flattened (flattened during the rotation of the image) to the original with layers.  For the future I will make sure that all of my images are locked in the window.

Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it!

  • Is it possible when you save the psd file to put an automatic jpg file saved at the same time?

My job is to prepare images for print viewers and window facilities.  My clients need to approve in advance the photos before printing.

I generally save my psd files, but because the files are very large in this format I usually save another copy in a jpg file which has a much smaller file size.  This makes it possible for me to add to a presentation and and send them to my client.

Is possible when you save the psd file to put an automatic jpg file saved at the same time?  Or that I always have to do it manually?

Use the Image Processor in Photoshop or install the free Dr. Brown Services.

  • How layer comps are linked to the layers in the PSD file?

I am developing an application of external command line c ++ to analyze a PSD file (using the PSD specification - http://www.adobe.com/devnet-apps/photoshop/fileformatashtml/PhotoshopFileFormats.htm#50577 409_17115) in order to extract important information. One of the main things I need is information linking layers to the layers themselves. Digging through the section Image resource specifying "Layers - 1065" I'm only able to extract the name, comments, etc. on the comp. layer is the question I have: how the layers are referenced by the layers in the PSD file? I need to know what layers are applied to each layer comp. Looking through the scripts provided with the PS (for example layers in files), the composition of layers is always "applied" before watching to see what are the layers inside this model. It seems to be the creation of an Action and the implementation of this action with the class identifier of the layer comp before watching his diapers, so this method should know on which layers are referred to by this layer comp. Specifically, what do I need to be able to do and, so far, have failed.

It is important that I stick with c ++ & that it be an external application, so the Plugin SDK is not much help here.

I would really appreciate any ideas/suggestions on this subject.

    Thank you all.

If someone falls on this issue once again, last night, I found the data using a control of the layer comp binary ID I have model layer section. The composition of layers--> data layer is inside a section of "undocumented"data under the tag Layer Records: shmd

    Hope this helps someone.

  • Problem with the PSD file in Illustrator

    G ' Day,.

My problem is when I place the PSD file in illustrator, it opens menu 'Option to import Photoshop' ,
that allows me to choose either:
    (1) photoshop layers convert to objects (or)
    (2) flatten layers into a single image photoshop

all other options are greyed out (which means that I can't select them)

The 2 options above will embed the image in illustrator, so when I update in photoshop, they will not automatically update.

I don't have this problem in the past (which means that I do not understand this menu when I use the function of the place), but it is just poped last week.
But when I open OLD illustrator files that have PSD images embeded no, I am able to edit the PSD and Illustrator will be automatically updated.

Please help this is really frustrating to keep investment PSD files every time when I change.

    Thank you!

I hope you saw the link check the option above what I wanted, if not selected it would prompt you with a dialog box that you encounter.

  • Helps export jpg in the same folder with the psd files

It's maybe a stupid question, but I can't understand this.  When I use CS4 for working on a photo it is important (self stacked) with the original CR2 (Canon) file without problem.  What I understand to convert the PSD file to jpg, it must be exported as a jpg.  When I do that and check the box to stack with original and then go into the library; I see not the jpg until I sync the folder.  Is it possible to have the jpg file appear in the stack without having to SNYC manually whenever I have it change?  I hope that makes sense!

    Alan

In the export dialog box where you configure all of your options.  Under Export location, there is a checkbox "add to catalogue".  If you check that option can also stack the copies with others.

  • Problem with the psd file when you export a hi res PDF

Someone has had problems when recording a hi res PDF on X 1 parameters? I have a .psd file in my indesign file and it will create a sort of cliping mask when I export. The image turns white. This only happens when recording as hi res. Low resolution no or (smaller file). Does anyone have one advice that could help? I use Indesign CS6.

  • The PSB (textures 3D and Smart Objects) are stored in the PSD file?

The subject line is the main issue. But I have a few other questions: the PSB files are stored (in the Windows operating system) in the folder Temp of the user. Why? My Temp folder has a dozen PSB files with various dates. Is there a reason that they do not disappear when a PSD file is saved? Remains of the PS crashes?

Same questions for Smart Object PSB files.

    Thank you

Yes, a smart object is a container for a file embedded as a PSB (large Document of Photoshop), EPS, PSD, TIFF, PDF, etc.

Material 3D textures are incorporated in a document by using the mechanism of the SO.

    Sengstack wrote:

When you choose to edit a written Photoshop, SO the ER is incorporated into a temporary file and opens in a new window.

Photoshop will normally remove the temporary file when the master document (the one containing the SO) is closed. If you wish, you can watch the creation and deletion of these files. An accident before closing the document master is expected to be the only reason that there is a PSB wandering in Temp.
