Why won't my slide show disc play on my DVD recorder?

I created a photo slideshow in PSE6.0 and it burned on a CD - RW disc according to the instructions of the program.  When I put the disc in the DVD burner, it tells me that it cannot read the disc.  I called Panasonic, the manufacturer of the recorder.  They tell me that my disc must be "finalized" so that the recorder in order to treat it.  Does anyone know what finalize talks and how to do it?  Thank you.

Larry and 99ion,

I think that the process simpler for Larry try is a slight variation on the last paragraph of the post of 99ion.  If it is possible will depend on what variation of Windows is installed. And the process can be even simpler by using only Windows Movie Maker not - rather skip the output of the editor for PES Windows DVD maker slide show. Even if this isn't my normal process, I tried it on Vista Home Premium and it worked.

Larry,

1. If you have a burner, DVD, and Vista Home Premium (or another variant of Windows that supports the creation of a DVD-video), I think that the simplest action plan is to use Windows DVD Maker.

-In the PSE slideshow Editor, make an output to the file, save it as a WMV file and choose the size setting of the DVD, and the United States on DVD NTSC, PAL if your country TV is PAL.

- Then in the creation of Windows DVD, add this file WMV of PSE as a 'film' and follow the steps for making the playable DVD TV and burn it to a DVD cisd.

2. If the program Windows DVD Maker is not available (as if the operating system is Windows XP), then you should check the other software as discussed 99ion.

3 - Returning to the question of what no doubt spent in your first attempt with your CD - RW and the PSE slideshow Editor

Because you used a CD - RW you most likely created the video CD format as output of the PSE slideshow Editor. You should check your manual for the Panasonic owner or other documentation both to check if it can read CD - RW discs (probably yes) and if it can read the video CD format (questionable because all TV DVD players or recorders can play this format).   However, I might save you the trouble of research on these issues BECAUSE this video CD format is if low resolution than most people find his poor and unacceptable display quality.

    What does that mean?

    Hello

Not sure, but more often means that there is a problem with a file system involved in the process. Try this:

Click Start, type CMD. Right click on the entry that appears in the menu and choose "Run as Administrator". Click on continue in the UAC prompt. From the command line, type:

    sfc/scannow

and click to start. Let it run until the end (it may take some time), and then close the command prompt by typing "exit" and by striking and restart the system normally. See if that helps. I wanted to create a 'master-slide show' on my masterpage who plays permanently on the 'sub-pages' (sorry, I don't know the English word). the problem is, that the slideshow always restart / reload when I jump to another secondary page. is it possible to just slide show to play continuously?

    Here the site:

Thank you in advance for your help!

By default it would be like each page will load in a browser with a different url, so on each loading slideshow will start again.

Alternative to go with this goal would be to create a single page with anchor function site.

  • Slide show with music on a DVD begins by cutting music and photos of freezing when you watch on TV.

Original title: photos and Audio in and out on DVD

I made a slideshow with music using many transitions, when I saw on the computer it works fine, when I burn it to a DVD and watch it on TV it starts cutting out music and freezing pictures, how to fix this? I have to get out some of the transitions?

    Two things you can try:

    (1) disable video filters... the article offers instructions:

  • I burned a bunch of digital files on a cd - r, they will play on my computer, how to make the cd to play on my dvd recorder or other players?

I did a video cd which is the type cd - r format. He will play on windows media player, but my recorder sony dvd won't play it. It is said: unknown disc, please check again. What should I on the disk or the files to play on other players?

Depending on the software you used to burn the CD, you might have to "finalize" or close the CD.  The option often says "make this disc can be read by other computers" or something similar.

  • How to burn a DVD in first Elements 8 to play on the DVD recorder.

I use first Elements 8 with Windows 7, i760 quad core and 8 GB RAM. When I burn a project to a disc, it will play on this PC, but the drive is not recognized on my XP PC, or my DVD burner. My guess is that I burn like a HD DVD but can't see any way to change this. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Geoff, I think you're chasing the wrong questions. The less likely it's Premiere Elements is the production of unreadable discs.

Did burn you your DVD files to a folder on a hard drive, rather than directly on a disc?

Have you tried to use DVD-r or DVD + r instead of DVD - RW (which cannot read many DVD players)?

Your source files - no matter where they come from - has no effect in your DVD playback. Once it has been converted, it is a matter of your disk drive, playback of your disc. If that is not the case, you must troubleshoot if this problem is a problem with the discs themselves, a problem with your DVD drive, or a problem or a problem with your burner.

Combustion in a folder on your hard drive will eliminate the Premiere Elements as the cause of the problem. If the program can produce a VIDEO_TS folder full of VOB files, then you know that the problem is in your disks or your hardware.

  • LR 2.3 (x 64) slide show Impromptu only plays in the "second window".

    LR 2.3 (x 64) on Vista x 64.  Two LCDs - different resolutions ('Second window' = 1024 x 768 & "Main window" = 1920 x 1200).

I can't get the 'impromptu slide show' to play in the 'main' window - he only plays in the second "window".

I cannot encourage the slideshow to play in the main window?

I'm not in the land of Monitor 2 for the moment (pending the new main monitor), but there is an option in the slideshow appearing If 2 monitors are attached, which allows you to select the one that the slide show is running on. Impromptu slideshow settings are based on the most recent settings in slideshow, so this may solve your problem. As I said, I have no way to check here what told the Committee.

  • Windows 7 - Media Center - photos - slide show settings - sides

QUESTION: Did anyone know if you can set the slide show according to different sides so that the slide show will play only pictures rated 4 and 5 stars for any folder of pictures (and not show photos rated 3 and below)?

PROBLEM: It seems that you can set Media Center to view a slideshow of 4 and 5 star pictures for every single photo on a computer in a massive slide show. If it is possible to change my slide show's settings so that I can see the pictures of only 4 and 5 stars (and no pictures rated 3 and below) for any given issue, I was not able to find it.

USER SCENARIO: I shoot 1,000 photos at a wedding and I rate 30 of these 5 stars, I note one another 900 as 4 stars, 50 I rate 3 stars, and the other 20 Note: 1 star for eventual deletion. I want someone to be able to use Media Center to show only the photos of 5 stars to friends (30 photos), but when family comes and they want to see more photos, they can change the Media Center slide show's settings so that the family sees only the photos 4 stars and 5 stars (80 photos).

NOTE: It seems to me that the global settings are a limited setting or another, but never a combination of two or more. I can view and play photos in a folder given with Media Center in an appreciation of deceasing order, it does not work for associated events like a wedding time, or I can see all 4 and 5 stars for my entire computer, but not folder?

Any help on this or recommended 3rd party Slideshow program would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you, Chris.

    Hello

You may experience this problem if the data store is corrupted. So, try to rebuild the Media Center data store.

To do this, follow these steps:
1 exit any running instance of Windows Media Center.
2 delete the mediaCenterDataStore.db file. By default, this file is located in the following location:
    %SystemDrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\mediaCenterDataStore.DB
To remove the file, follow these steps:
    1. click on start and then click Run.
    2. in the Open box, type run and then click OK.
    3. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
    4. in the Open box, type %systemdrive%\programdata\microsoft\ehome and then click OK.
    5. in the details pane, right-click right mediacenterdatastore.db and then click on remove.
    6. click Yes to confirm that you want to move the Mediacenterdatastore.db file to the trash.
7 restart the computer so that the changes take effect after you perform the steps.
    8. start Windows Media Center.

For additional assistance on the photos to labelling, see the documents below:

  • Slide show - Photoshop to the first failure - need help!

Slide show created in music and audio recorded segments with integrated in elements 8 photo and sent videos to premiere elements 8, but he's very clean. Duplication of the music, the video is robotics, pictures came not during.  I would like to know what I'm doing wrong.

I suspect you are trying to tasks that are beyond the capacity of the organizing element editor slideshow and you would do better the addition of your video using Premiere Elements in a parameter of the project (from Premiere Elements) which is chosen according to the format of the video you have. (this option is more precisely my opinion based on many years of working with people on the forums who have reported similar problems of type: he is not an official statement and I do not work for Adobe.)

If it is possible to troubleshoot on the forum, I think it is more likely to succeed on the Forum to Premiere Elements to

    http://forums.Adobe.com/community/premiere_elements

When you post here, please add more details

-"recorded audio segments with embedded videos.

Please explain - for example that you want to say?

do you mean you added music to the slideshow, and also had the slideshow narration?

-What is the format (codec) used for the video (s) you are using? If you do not know the codec, and then identify the camera that was the source of the video (s)

-If you know what is the setting for the Prem elements project - post this info

-What format will you choose as exit Premiere Elements - for example, you will burn a DVD to standard definition?

-What is the resolution in pixels of the picture files that you use? (resolution of pixels too high can be a problem)

-What is the Windows operating system? (most likely you will also be asked of the hardware configuration of your PC during troubleshooting)

    EDIT - add a supplementary

-identify the format and dimensions in pixels of the pictures that has not successfully transferred to Premiere Elements (numbers are better, but statements, as if it were a panorama will help you to start the analysis of why some failed) also to say if these photos were visible when you do a reading of the insight into the elements Organizeer slideshow Editor.

When I make a slide show, the SPACEBAR is not interrupt him. If I click on the small triangle 'play slideshow', the slide show starts and the triangle becomes a symbol of the break, but it clicking on it just changes to the triangle, without interrupting the show.

If the slide show is playing full screen, I can give up only, or by the means of escape or clicking on the screen. Pressing the bar of space changes 'pause' to 'play' and back, at the bottom left of the screen.

  • Why audio will play on the used pp slide show I created on another computer?

I created the pp slide show with audio on my laptop that is running Windows 7. I recorded it on a USB storage device. When I try to play on my laptop that is running Windows XP, I get only the audio slideshow-No.

Assuming that there isn't a problem with your sound in general, I suspect that the Windows Xp laptop isn't the right codec for the file. Return to the Windows 7 laptop and check the format of the output file of the slideshow.
