• 2850 problem - Windows 2008 R2 - PE with Driver HD

  Hello

  I am trying to install windows 2008 R2 on a PE 2850, but it does not work.

  The problem is that windows does not recognize the hard drive (when should I choose on what partition I want to install the OS).

  I tried to load the driver PERC 4e/DI RAID v6.46 (from the dell support site), but it says that the driver is not digitally signed.

  The installation works with Windows 2008, the version of the driver is 6.50, so I and it loaded when installing 2008 R2, but this isn't work eather (same message).

  I also tried with lsi.com driver, the driver version is 6.51, it is digitally signed, but it does not work for the 4e/DI (4/Di, 4e/DC,... but not 4e/DI).

  Do you have any idea how to solve this problem? Reference dell do something?

  Firstly, be sure this is the driver you are using:

  When you have created your logical drives, did you also initialize it them?

  There was a similar problem for me who ends up being a weird DVD disc problem - it would install each OS with the exception of 2008 R2 - but it was isolated on one single disc well - other readers who have exactly the same brand/model/firmware worked fine.

  4e/Di raid controller. everywhere wherever I look on the internet it says that it must be very good and no problem. but WHENEVER it does not detect the drives to install on. I tried downloading all the drivers I could find site and loading them from the dell installation prompt, but am at a total loss. day 4 now to fight with it. someone at - it suggestions? running win 2003 32-bit so I can go online and download updates if necessary.

  It is important to distinguish what OS you install... 2008 x 64 or 2008 R2 (which is 64-bit only).  You said 2008 x 64, but people often forget to specify.  This is why it is important:

  Server 2008
  2008 drivers for the PERC 4e/Di embedded in the operating system driver files, it is not necessary to add drivers so that Windows can see readers.

  2008 R2
  2008 R2 doesn't have these built-in support, as well as the drivers must be provided during installation (to the screen that says no hard drive is found, click the drivers to be loaded in the lower left corner, and then load them from USB, CD, or diskette).  You must use this driver:

  In BOTH cases, you need TO configure RAID BEFORE start you on the OS install DVD or Windows will not be able to see the readers, even with the appropriate driver.  This is done in CTRL-M during POST... Configure, View/add.

  Just bought this as a backup device for Small Business Server 2008 running on Windows 2008 64-bit. However it does not? Are there drivers anywhere for this or it is simply not supported and I need to buy an alternative solution?

  Plugged into my laptop Windows 7 64 bit and no problems.

  Unfortunately, there is no other software by download.
  I checked the driver page Toshiba in the Options area but didn't find anything

  AFAIK it of a plug & play HARD drive if you n t need any software to recognize the HARD drive

  There may be a password.
  Try this:
  Connect your HARD drive to the computer when the HARD drive is working
  Select the CD drive with your browser (password)
  Run the ONSPCLCK.exe
  Select 'Options '.
  Select "Disable security password"
  Enter your current password
  Unplug the HARD drive
  connect the HARD drive

  Now, it will work, but with no password protection. Perhaps it would work

• Pavilion p7 - 1227c needs the network drivers that work with Windows 2008 server R2

  I bought this new Pavilion P7 - 1227C at Costco so that I can install Windows Server 2008 r2 with Hyper-V role

  I managed to install Windows 2008 server but unable to t the wireless or ethernet to work.  I tried to use the driver 64 bit Windows 7 without success.

  I think return Costco if I can't get the network driver that will work with Windows 2008 Server R2

  Thanks for the link, I was able to download AR816X_V.0.14.15_WHQL.

  The driver works for Windows 2008 Server R2.  I just need to find the drivers for the wireless card.

• Cannot install 3 WMF on Windows 2008 SP2 computer

  I have a system running Windows 2008 SP2 Enterprise edition OS. I try to install windows management framework 3 so I can get running powershell 3.0 on it and unable to do so. When I run the installation of 3 WMF, I get a message "the update does not apply to your system". On the WMF page, it lists this version 3 can be installed on windows 2008 SP2.

  The system has .NET 1.1, installed 3.5 SP1 and 4.5.2. I don't see WMF in the Windows Update list on the server. Suggestions that more I need to install or uninstall?

• Windows 2008 server v2

  Hi all

  Can you help me with this? a windows logon has been deployed on my windows 2008 Server v2. and when I tried to log on to the server as admin, I get a message 'security policies on this computer are set to display information about the last interactive logon. Windows could not retrieve this information. Please contact your network administrator for assistance. Now, I can't log on to the server and everything I tried but to no avail. I can only log on locally as administrator on a client system if the virtual machine is stopped.

  Anyone can help the possible solution?

• Update MBAM 2.0 to 2.5 on Windows 2008 R2 MBAM

  Hello.

  I hope someone out there can help you, we have recently tried to upgrade an instance of MBAM version 2.0 to version 2.5 and have received the following message is displayed:

  "This version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are using. Check your computer's system information to see if you need a x 86 (32 bit) or x 64 (64-bit) version of the program. »

  The upgrade was performed on an instance of Windows 2008 R2 64 bit and we are work struggling on why this product could not recognize the operating system? Especially given that all the prerequisites were followed to ensure that we could run the upgrade.

• Windows 2008 Server Standard not install KB3099860 with error code 8000FFFF

  I look after 3 x Windows 2008 Standard Edition servers. Two of them to date very well and are up to date with updates. One of them however, which is identical in hardware to either of the other two and even fewer programs (we use it as a simple file server), fails on the last update released December 2015:

  KB3099860 a security update for the .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2 in Windows Vista Service Pack 2 and Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2: 8 December 2015

  I tried a variety of things after having studied the problem these past few days, including:

  1 Uninstalling some updates before this one and see if they re - install. They are all re - install fine until I get to it where it fails with 8000FFFF error code so this leads me to believe that this is not in itself a problem with updates

  2. manually and also linking this Microsoft 'fixit': http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/windows-update-error-8000ffff

  3. how to install the System Update Readiness Tool for Windows Server 2008 that installs but does not report errors

  4. manually by downloading the fix and trying to install - does not work.

  including rename them the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution Windows Update and giving of right on drive C for "Network Services" - still does not work.

  6. as it is associated .NET I tried to repair .NET facilities that exist on the server (2, 3, 3.5 and and re-apply updates, but even once, fails on it.)

  So, what should I do now? The behavior may suggest that it is that only this particular associate .NET that is a failure and that future ones will work, but it's "critical" and which relates to the .NET version which is initrinsic to the Windows 2008 operating system I think I should get it fixed :)

  Any thoughts?

• Search for content in pdf files stopped working after the migration of Windows 2008 Indexing Service

  We have designed a search custom as an aspx page that uses the Indexing Service to search for content in a set a which coexist document types (doc, pdf, xls, etc.)

  We moved to a Windows Server 2003 Indexing Service to Windows 2008 and since the Indexing Service has stopped the search pdf files. The search returns only another type of pdf files.

  On the new server where the Indexing Service, I installed Adobe PDF iFilter 11 for 64-bit platform, I think it's the plugin the Indexing Service uses to find the content of pdf files.

  Does anyone got the Search Indexing Service content in PDFs on Windows 2008 server?
