  I have a HP ENVY Sleekbook 6-1126sa.  I need to have Windows 7 (not Windows 8). I installed Windows 7 (no UEFI). It's pretty simple. Now I find there is no Windows 7 drivers on the HP support site. HP support site advises to use Windows updates to update drivers or visit the manufacturer's Web site. Problem is I need an Internet connection to run Windows Update but cannot find the Ralink Wireless drivers. Looking for Ralink manufacturers website I find http://www.ralinktech.com/en/ (which States that the Ralink site merged with the Web of MediaTek site and one for pilots redirects to http://www.mediatek.com/_en/07_downloads/01_windows.php). Maybe somebody has an idea which driver I'm supposed to use? Updates of Windows actually work?

  Does anyone know if HP intend to provide Windows 7 for HP ENVY Sleekbook 6-1126sa laptop drivers (and indeed any other portable newly acquired)?

  With perseverance and a bit of research I managed finally to find the remaining Windows 7 drivers (for all unknown devices).

  For anyone who needs to install Windows 7 on a HP ENVY Sleekbook 6-1126sa, follow is where I found the remaining device drivers:

I am overall very sattisfied, but couldn't handle windows 8, so I tried to install windows 7 instead, and ultimately there is no avaible driver from the hp Web site.   WARNING *.

  HP does not recommend installing Windows 7 on a computer comes with Windows 8, and it will support the installation of Windows 7. HP doesn't provide drivers for Windows 7 and the appropriate drivers are not available for the hardware in the computer. In addition, Windows 7 can not take in charge some of the hardware or software designed for the computer.

  Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.

  You should ENABLE 'Secure Boot' and maybe 'Legacy Support' in the 'BIOS Setup boot secured' on the settings page below, before you try to install Windows 7;

  

  In addition, as the hard drive is partitioned as TPG, you must start the computer by using the "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" in the start menu "F9". If "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" or something to that effect does not exist in the start menu, please post a screenshot and/or make startup listed options.

  I suggest to use a disc of Windows 7 SP1 for the best installation experience. If you need a Windows SP1, see 'How to install Windows 7 without the disc' to download and create your own. If the DVD does not start as UEFI, you may need to use a USB Flash drive (can ask "Quick start" DISABLING in BIOS) as the installation media. Please download the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create a Windows 7 SP1 USB Flash drive.

  Here are the specifications of your desktop HP ENVY h8-1419. For your model, HP seems to provide that drivers of Windows 8. Most of the Windows 7 drivers for the page of CTO drivers of HP Pavilion HPE h8 desktop PC - 1240t should work on your computer from HP h8-1419.

  That last one should have worked because it was the m4-1000 series that has support for W7 and has the same hardware as yours.
