  You might have a masking "your folders & files. I don't know how to do it on Vista, but it has been discussed many times here before. If you use the search function, you should be able to find out how. Or simply help your computer function. You want to "Show hidden files & folders".

  Boot into safe mode and see if it will remove. Alternatively, you can drag to the C drive and see if it will remove it from there.  If still no joy, try this tool.
