Windows 7 Professional, and Windows XP (Service pack 3)
While trying to download Microsoft lync, under compatibility it says that we can help you, you chose the settings: mode of compatibility Windows xp (service pack 3), however, I have Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I often get the message that I have XP service pack 3. How to combat this? Thank you! Diane
Hello Diane,.
Thanks for posting your question on the forum of the Microsoft community.
I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.
1. have you done any hardware or software changes to your computer recently?
2. What is the full error message or code when you say, "I often get the message that I have XP service pack 3?
The message, ' we can help you chose the settings: compatibility mode, Windows xp (service pack 3) "does not mean that Windows xp is installed on your computer. It only shows that you may need to install the program in compatibility mode with windows xp so that it works properly with Windows 7.
You can refer to this article:
Make older programs in this version of Windows

I hope this information helps.
Simply answer the required information and let us know if you need more help.
Thank you

Windows 7 service pack 1 is 18% full and then the error Code is 80200053
I tried to download and install the new update for windows 7, but I get an error every time. It's Windows 7 service Pack 1 for x 64 systems (KB976932). He gets 18% full and then said he could not be updated. The error Code is 80200053
I had this exact question and until I went under optional updates and installed the patch KB2285068 (Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 2) and KB2488113 (certain day of random reliability), the Service Pack 1 update has failed every time. Once the updates have been applied SP1 successfully installed. I am on Windows 7 x 64. Someone at - there still the difficulty that should give a try.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 is installed correctly, and then on reboot I get a blue error screen or green.
The only way that I could finally restart, was safe and then I restored to before I installed SP2.
WinXP SP2 must have been installed more than four years ago.
If you haven't installed SP2, you could not possibly have a functional application of the antivirus installed so see...

Sound and video malfunction with Windows XP service pack 2
2 problems:
(1) after the update of Windows XP Home Edition (service pack 1) for Windows XP service pack 2 (using update windowns - custom) Media Player often has his crush (not smooth) and there is often no image except the sounds and words on the screen.
(2) after the express (recommended) use of service pack 2 update, why don't the Windows XP service pack 1, change to Windows XP service pack 2? I mean when I check my version of Windows XP, it still shows the old version (service pack 1) rather than updating a (service Pack2)?
Thank you very much for your help.

Compatibility issue with the version of media center 2004 and Windows XP Service Pack 3!
I have a problem getting Media Center 2004 version compatibility to work with Windows XP, Service Pack 3. Does anyone know of a problem here? Are they compatible? If not, anyone know if there is a fix for this?
The material that I was referring to is the material that you were talking about, namely your card graphic and sound card. I thought that this could be as simple as installing the correct hardware drivers.
As I am not very familiar with your particular PC, it is not that I do. You can switch to the thread where PA bear you helped:
