Windows 7 turns with start open Menu then automatically starts programs

Not very tech savvy, so I don't know if this has something to do with a virus.

Yesterday, I noticed that Firefox kept reporting '' high unusual activity. '' I removed all the possible extensions that may be the cause. To be sure, I did a with Windows Defender and Kaspersky virus scan and no viruses were found. My computer up to date with this malicious software removal tool, but it would not be updated from Windows Explorer 11.

This morning, at the opening of my computer, I noticed that the Start Menu was suddenly. Then it started to open programs automatically. When I opened Firefox, once again he says '' high unusual activity. ''

Would appreciate any help step by step.

We understand. You can remove applications on the boot parameters. Click on this link to help you solve this problem.

    Hello

    After the last updates of windows have problems with start up and now drivers. I get an error code 21 when I try to install the drivers AMD apparently missing.

    May 14, last night I had several (automatically) downloaded windows update

    Today, I was unable to boot my computer with Windows - tried the disk check, start checks etc, and eventually had to use System Restore (for help before the critical update to restore).

    Perfection, everything works, but knowing that windows will attempt to redo an automatic update, tried to check online - no one seemed to have a problem and (naivly) thinking I could always do another restore of the system, I rebooted again.

    Same thing worse. Could not do a sys restore either just before restarting or last night. Chose a date earlier (last week) but then lost the USB drivers and pilots display. Downloaded updated but refuses to let my AMD driver install Windows I have a very unpleasant screen... and I must now stop the installation of this update "critical."

    Would appreciate advice how do my installed display driver or whether anyone else has problems following this update

    Installed Windows 7 Ultimate. After that a few weeks noticed that she has demonstrated that it is not enabled. Tried aactivate - received error 0 x 8007005 (access) refused.

    After crossing articles kb, including the http://support.microsoft.com/kb/938450 without success decided to re - install. After re - install and apply updates same error, so I reinstalled for the third time. This time this immediately activated after I entered the windows.

    Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

    If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

    You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type sfc in the search box, right-click to SFC. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

    Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To make, click Start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

  • Doesn't have installation of Vista updates. He continues to try set up the third update with 0% completion and then it turns off and start again from the beginning. Keep in the loop... Help! There is no error message.

    As above. He is not in windows more simply the third update installation and then turns off computer and restart new since the beginning. Tried running safe mode but without success

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    Hi LGStrike,
    Restore your computer to a point before the updates being installed with the System Restore.  Then proceed as follows:
    1. go in Control Panel , and then select Windows Update.
    2. click on check for updates.
    3. once the results come back, click on the link that shows Important updates and deselect all the updates except the first 3 or almost and install the updates.
    4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 until you receive the error message.
    I use Windows XP SP3 with 2 GB of RAM with a 1.80 Ghz Pentium 4 processor... The computer is VERY slow and lazy most of the time. Sometimes it's fast and the answer but then IT suddenly comes back to extremely slow and lazy - it's as if something is supported of the processor.
    When we look at the performance tab of the the task manager of the CPU usage is running between 80 and 100% when it opens any program or and for the desktop to appear.
    I ran Super Anti Spyware and found 69 threats that have been deleted.
    I ran Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and it found 1 threat that has been deleted.
    I run ESET NOD32 Anti-virus and it was a clean analysis.
    I run the latest version of CCleaner and cleaned the registry and the tab Cleaner for the cleaning of temporary files, etc.
    I defraged the drive and also checked/fixed for disk errors.
    What is your system brand and model?
    You may be able to get clues with what is happening by using the Task Manager and maybe understand.
    You will always figure out what happens if you use Process Explorer.
    Download Process Explorer, so you can see what is 'really' currently running on your system, especially behind these multiple svchosts see you in the Manager of tasks running.
    Download Process Explorer from here:
    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Sysinternals/bb896653.aspx
    You'll like Process Explorer when you get the hang of it.  Process Explorer is the Manager of Windows taskbar on steroids.
    Process Explorer installs nothing so it won't slow down your system since it works only on request.
    Process Explorer can seem a little intimidating at first because it has so much information, but you will begin to make love the way it works when you're looking for performance problems.   You can even say EP you want it to be your new default 'Task Manager' value in the future.  You can always run the original tasks as Manager.
    Once you get Process Explorer running, expand the columns, made drag the corners of the screen for it's largest, etc., so you can see as much information as possible in the window.  Now you can really see what is running on the system.
    Here's a screenshot of my system when I use Process Explorer:
    http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/2567/ProcessExplorer.PNG
    The CPU column is usually the most interesting start with performance issues - which uses the most?
    It is OK and normal to have of multiple svchost processes running, but sometimes malware will hide behind them, as the malware knows that you will not be able to spot it in the Task Manager.
    Malicious software can disguise itself also seems to be a legitimate process of XP or he could hide under/behind other processes that you see running in Task Manager if you can't see the execution.
    The malware would trick you into thinking you must use a System Restore Point, run a repair install or reinstall your XP from scratch when you really don't.
    Looking at the display in process Explorer, you want the CPU most to be associated with the system idle process.  It's 'free time' on your system, so more time there, more free.
    If you look at the graphs of performance and see red spikes (or not) double click the graphic in the upper left corner to display the graph to use.  Move the mouse over any pics to see what are the causes.  Even if the Spike has already scroll screen, you can still move the mouse over the edge to see what caused.  You can also just wait for a pic to happen and then see what caused the Spike.
    To help understand your process svchost and what is running under them, read this article and you will be smarter than the average bear:
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/Forum56.html
    Then with a few Google searches, you can watch every thing in PE and behind your svchost processes running and see what it is and decide if your configuration needs it or not and then decide what to do about this.
    If you think you have a svchost.exe process amok, executed using PE, you can right-click that offensive svchost, properties and on the Services tab and son, you can see which runs under it.
    There is a CPU column it will expand (make the wider column) so that you can see CPU.  Maybe you can spot what background process is so CPU consumption under the svchost.exe process.   Stroll under the svchost process and you will find it.
    You can also see what is running under each svchost simply by pointing your mouse on the svchost.exe process.  Some of them have just a things working under them and some will have several things (I hope that all the legitimate XP services) and some will have a lot of things.
    If you have a svchost process that is afflicted, which runs under your afflicted?
    No running process must defy reasonable explanation.
    First, see what you can discover using Process Explorer and then if nothing is obvious, see other things.
    Do, or do not. There is no test.
    I need YOUR voice and the points for helpful answers and propose responses. I'm saving for a pony!
    Hi Jarnold55,
    Method 1: Run the fixit available in the article below and then check if it makes a difference
    When you run an .exe on a Windows Vista-based or Windows 7 computer file, the file may start another program
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/950505
    Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
    Method 2: Run Microsoft Security scanner (MSS) to remove the infection rest of the computer
    Note: Infected files can be deleted from your computer; There is a chance of data loss.
    Movie Maker will not film because of "another user is running Movie Maker on this computor... publish »
    I'm trying to publish a movie on this computor in Windows Movie Maker. The files are .wmv with a band his .wav and are all stored on my computor. I performed this task with success several times and there is enough free space on the computor.
    When I click on publish, there are a few seconds where he tries to publish, but then the program goes into a gel and the dialog box appears with the following: "another user is running Windows Movie Maker on this computor. Please close the other session of Windows Movie Maker before starting Windows Movie Maker again".
    When I click Close, there is an icon of wmv on my desk with the title of my project, but it is empty. I am the only user on this computor and I am puzzled as to why this should be implemented. I tried to turn the filters but nothing helped. One thing that I tried was to publish the band sound and the titles and credits without video files and I found it worked.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you Volenteer J. How would you like to know if a .wmv file is corrupt? Is there something I can do to click the .wmv files that tell me if they are corrupt? I need to identify the files that are causing my problem.
    ==================================================
    Sorry... but it seems that I have more questions than answers.
    You said initially that you could publish the soundtrack and titles with success...
    I was wondering if you tried to add a .wmv file to see if you could publish?
    What was the source of the. WMV files? They are all from the same source?
    They were converted from another format? If_Yes_ maybe another
    Converter would be worth a try.
    You change them widely? (split, rotation, transitions...)
    There is a possibility that you could import the Windows Media .wmv files
    Encoder and convert them to... .WMV to .wmv. Seems pointless, I know...
    but it would create a new .version of the. WMV files and can fix that
    perhaps never the problem.
