Windows 8 failure configuring Windows updates: my sytem keeps refusing to upgrade.

Whenever I try to load the Windows updates, that it goes through a process at length check and then refuses to load.  It then goes through another process at length:

Failure of Windows dates

Restoration of the changes

Do not turn off your computer

How fix us this problem?  I would like to upgrade to Windows 8 to 8.1, but the system keeps refusing the upgrade process.  Do I need new drivers Windows installed?  I do a lot of graphic work.  Would be the removal of the player above: AMD driver miniport multi-vendor affects the use of my graphics card?  Just bought the 23 inch want all-in-one model: 23-d203d with intel i7 - 3770 s processor 3.10 GHz with 4 GB 64-Bit system

Thank you for your help and suggestion.  I used the format of trouble shooter.  He made a few corrections and some updates have been installed in the difficulty but also said there are 2 corrupt files do not set. Do not understand how this can be in a whole new system. Anyway I still can't upgrade windows 8.1 store.  Have any suggestions or should I just leave him alone, as is?

  • Windows Update service will not work after upgrading the hard drive

I'm running Windows Vista 64 bit, Home Premium SP2 with 8 GB of ram. I recently cloned my hard drive OEM of 500 GB, 5400 RPM Toshiba MK5055GSX via a standalone, dual drive bay dock for upgrade to a 750 GB, 7200 RPM, Western Digital WD7500BPKT. Since the clone/upgrade, Service Windows Update does not work and gives the message: ' Windows Update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running. " You may have to restart your computer. "And Yes, I checked and everything related to Windows Update seems to be 'turned on' or well defined, but the service will not work. Notes; Windows Update still works with the player "OEM", it is only the new WD drive that has the problem. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion on getting this problem is resolved.

  • How to stop Windows Update to force an unwanted win7 upgrade to win 10

Can someone tell me how to stop Windows Update to force an unwanted Win 7 upgrade to win 10.

Currently, I have 50 + 'important' updates pending and 3 updates "optional" (which one is ranked 10 Windows), but even with 10 Windows Update is not selected and the value "hide this update" the only option shown in Windows Update is upgrading to Windows 10.

Any attempt to install ONE of the other Win 7 or MS Office updates translates into Windows Update, saying that it is downloading Windows 10.

I would like to install updates Windows 7 (and MS Office), but given the way that Microsoft has put on several occasions customers for a forced update to win 10, I'd really rather not count on leave install Win 10 and just hope that the 'Roll Back' option really works without leaving me right where I am now.
