Upgrade to 8.1 Windows: FAQ
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-8/upgrade-to-Windows-8

Try to contact your OEM for the recovery of Windows 8 media.  For a small fee, they should be able to provide a copy on DVD or USB.  This will allow you to reinstall Windows 8 to factory settings as the first day.

The foregoing would be the same as if you had damaged, lost or replaced, a defective hard drive, what often happens.

    Hello

    (1) what is the exact full error message?

    (2) is the specific question of an update?

    (3) remember you to make changes to the computer before the show?

You can try the following methods and check the status of the issue.

    Method 1:

    Troubleshoot problems with installing updates.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-problems-with-installing-updates

    Method 2:

Disable your security software installed on the computer and try to install the updates.

  • iPad will not update/download apps or update of iOS

I use an iPad Air 128 GB. A few weeks ago I opened to see 80 + waiting for app updates. It will not be to update all apps more, it seems. When I type "Update" next to the app, it will sometimes go to the Pan then immediately back "Update." Other times it will go to the loading circle with the "stop" square in the middle and stay there forever, without making any progress.

It will be not as download apps from the store. The other day, I bought a new app on my iPad. The purchase went very well and the app is immediately available for download on my iPhone. But on the iPad, it had sat for always with a circle of empty progression. A gray icon on the home screen, but that's all.

She can't do as iOS updates. When I check the updates, it breaks down after a few moments with the message "cannot control upgrade: an error occurred when checking for a software update. It also won't let me go back to iCloud. Well it's not quite true... When this all started, I got a backup to work once. But he has not worked since then.

All this stuff always works through iTunes. Can I update iOS through iTunes (it started with 9.3, and I spent 9.3 - > 9.3.1 - > 9.3.2 via iTunes). I can install apps/updates via iTunes, and I can back up on iTunes. The other stuff related to internet on the iPad seems to work very well (web browsing, etc.). I also had none of these problems on my iPhone using the same exact account.

I tried the standard things: reset the iPad, signature and in the AppStore, etc.. I tried to turn on all the app store/iCloud bells and whistles repeatedly. Nothing has worked. Any suggestion is appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello

Looks like a bug go to settings - iCloud back up now.

After restore backup iPad back to the factory settings, this will get rid of any bugs.

  • Windows 8 will not update - crashes at 12%

    HP Pavilion dv6z-7000 portable

Basically, windows is going to update and when its on the blue screen that says:

    "Configuration of the Windows updates.

Do not turn off your computer

It goes all the way up to 12% and then crashes just there for 10-15 minutes, then it will restart and try to do it again and have the same thing happen. This happens 2 or 3 times until it finally said that she has no update and its return to previous settings. How can I get this update?

This happened only since I did the upgrade to Windows 8, I did online. My laptop previously had Windows 7 64 bit on it and it worked fine.

    Hello

No updates are not preinstalled. Updates happen that after you have installed the computer and once you're connected to the internet.

If not start windows at all, try these:

How to load auto repair/Advanced Boot Options / Safe Mode / in Windows 8:

The repair options advanced quickly into previous versions of windows are older there. So hit F8 at startup means nothing for Windows 8.

Here are the various ways to enter Startup Options Advanced in Windows 8 for the problems of starting no.:

The first two methods are used when the system does not boot to Windows (Boot (No questions)

    1. If windows 8 systems are hard two times consecutively then third stop it will automatically load a screen of recovery as shown below. Click on « see Advanced Repair Options»

Note: Sometimes the auto repair can also start after the hard stop. Let it run as it can solve the problem. Otherwise, you will get the screen below...

2 another way to repair advanced load is pressing SHIFT + F8 at startup upward. You must be quick in order to get the advanced Repair Options screen. Boot process Windows 8 became so fast that if you delay pressing SHIFT + F8 in less than a second so you will miss. If the advanced boot options do not come up on the first attempt, please try several times.

Although this method is the best way, that it seems not work sometimes. Many claim there was no such keys to load the Boot Options Advanced Windows 8, he has always worked for me.

In the above screen, select Troubleshooting , and then click Advanced Options

The Advanced Boot Options screen appears now that will help us troubleshoot and solve the problems of the lack of start-up in Windows

  • Windows 7 will not update on an Acer Aspire One 722

Hello, I have an Acer Aspire One 722 - A0722 - 64-Bit - I used the laptop and installed Windows 10 on it and it came to a crawl.  I decided to reset the computer to factory settings.  He succeeded, however, I can not install the updates of Windows.  I am running Windows 7 Home Premium with Service Pack 1.

I tried to install updates for the first time without success and tried all the solutions I could find online.  I searched through forum after forum and tried all of the solutions that I found and not luck.  I installed several downloads, as recommended by Microsoft and not solutions.  I had subsequently to error code 8008005 and 0x8024402C and 0x8024001e.  I tried again the solutions and nothing has worked.  Most of the downloads that I did from herre: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows.aspx

I finally install CCleaner and updated to Explorer 11 I downloaded directly from the Microsoft Web site.  Who succeeded.  Nothing else has.

So, I wiped out the computer again and reset to factory settings and am at square one.  I installed NOTHING else at this point expect try Windows updates.  All I get is the progress monitor to continue to operate.  It was 'running' and research updates for nearly 30 hours and nothing.  It still reads ' check for Updates ' and nothing else.

Any help would be appreciated as I know what else to try.  This seems to be a common problem with no real solution at this moment that my search Google told me.

Two screenshots are below.  Thank you for any help or advice.  At this point, the computer is basically unusable and it's very frustrating.  I spent hours and hours and hours and nothing.

Thank you all and well be.    Brad

Hi I had this same problem, but it can be fixed easily, fist you need to do this update https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?i... There for 64 bit, before this, you must disconnect your wifi and LAN and uncheck the box you run internet settings where will be automatically connect when you start windows, and then restart your PC. Once the back is operational, run the update you just downloaded (make sure do not connect to the internet until the update is complete.  Reset.  Now that you have made, you must update the update here is the link to the DLhttps://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/kb/949104. Now, when it comes to restart your PC and go to update and this time it should find updates, can still take a little time, but usually get fist couple in 10 to 15 minutes.

PS - It analyzed more than an hour before he found updates and started to download. Yes!  It worked... I also downloaded the downloads on a flashdrive from my desktop PC and installed on the Acer from the USB key.

Thank you and well being.  Brad

  • Windows 7 will not update 80072EFE (D?) - taken previous advice. __

I just reinstalled by o/s and windows he installs it gives me the error code 80072EFE (D?).

Oridginally I thought it was Norton Internet Security, I contacted Norton who uninstalled the software. It would update always not.

What is my Cisco firewall blocking updates?

I followed the previous messages, updated Windows Update software has changed the start "delayed automatic" to "automatic". All advice appreciated.
