Windows Live mail 2010

I have windows Live Mail 2010, I get server msnews.mircosoft, com ID 0X800CCC0E Portocol NNTP Port 119 secure (SSL) no error 10060 socket, everything started when I tried to send a document when I was on Outlook now it appears all the time it's getting really frustrating when I just use Outlook, I did not use windows live mail for a long time please help me with this problem.

It's a little confusing.

  1. There is no 2010 WLMail. (09, 11 & 12).
  2. Microsoft has abandoned their discussion groups (msnews.mircosoft.com) in 2009.
  3. Are you a person speaking of MS Office Outlook? There never newsgroup (NNTP) without the help of Outlook Express.

Best I can tell from what you posted is, delete the NNTP account. And/or remove WLMail or at least the inside account settings.

  • Windows Live Mail 2010 fixed background image missing (not even the Red Cross)

Hi, my client runs Windows Live Mail on Vista. I was about to set up remote a stationary to his e-mail account. When she opens the new window message, stationary is visible with images. The problem appears when she sends an email - no visible images, without attachments, no red cross. When I look in the source code for mail

has no background style, located on the stationary file. I checked all (I assume) possibilities: HTML settings include image - checked, the security settings - very well. All solutions on the web seems to refer to the Red Cross - at the opposite image. I can't find any similar to mine. SA is also difficult because there is hundreds kilometers between me and his computer. Thanks in advance or any help.

  • Problem with Windows Live Mail 2011 to scan

When I use either my printer to scan a document, cartoon, etc. to send e-mail (Windows Live Mail 2011), the scan works fine, but when I try to attach the message to send to a recipient, the scanned image was cropped (up to the size of a photo?) and space of the image is now asking for 'enter the name of the album', 'slide show', etc. - which suggests that it is an activity of picture which is not.  All I want to do is scan a document for emailing, a process that worked flawlessly w. Windows Live Mail 2010.  How can I overcome this problem?

  • Windows 2010 Live Mail loses attachments and sent box, Windows Live 2010 cannot sort by COLUMN by order alphabetical-how to to back to the old Windows Live Mail

After Windows 7, computer portable 64-bit Windows Live Mail update to version 2010 in fall 2010, some attachments fail to my computer.  I can see them at the opening of mail on the work of the Windows XP computer, use comcast web mail, so I don't know the attachments exist.  When I get home and open it with Windows Live Mail, the message through (comcast), and the attachment is missing.  Can I go back to an older version of Windows Live Mail because I have attachments on the same computer.  Second problem: in letters, I can't sort messages sent by COLUMN.  They always sort by DATE, even if I want to sort by TO.  This isn't a problem in the IN box.

  • How can I move my registered e-mail, e-mail folders and contacts from my Windows 2000 computer using Outlook Express 6 on my new computer Windows 7 with I guess Windows Live Mail or Outlook 2010?

    Hello Microsoft...

I just bought a new computer with Windows 7 coming next week... I was told to download Windows Live Mail (?), because Outlook Express is no longer used (?), and the new computer will also Microsoft Office 2010 student Addition as well... so my question is would you please, 'how can I move my email, files saved e-mail and contacts to my Windows 2000 machine using Outlook Express 6 to my new Windows 7 machine with I guess Windows Live Mail or Outlook 2010?  I'd appreciate any help available...

    Thank you very much

    Michael

Transfer of data from Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail:

    For Messages:

Copy the * ENTIRE * OE message store folder to a flash drive. (Folders.dbx must be included). Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail. Open WLMail and: file | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.

    Location of OE message store:

In OE: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    For addresses:

Open the address book in OE and file | Export | Address book (wab) and save it to the desktop. Copy it to a flash drive. Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

Open the Contacts list in WLMail, (go |) Contacts in the Menu bar) and the file | Import | Address book (wab) Windows and the point where you saved it.

Note: If you use a CD or a DVD instead of a flash drive, after placing on the new machine you must remove the read-only attribute in the properties before you import.

    For the account settings:

In OE: Tools | Accounts, select the account and export it to the desktop. This will be an .iaf file. Copy it to the new computer and WLMail desktop: tools | Accounts and import the settings from the location you saved the.

  • Switch from Win XP and OE Express to Windows live mail, then in Win7 running Outlook 2010 - how?

This is NOT an easy process.

    (A) can I download Windows Live mail on my Win XP machine to migrate my e-mal address book and messages?

    (B) then, after I get stuff all the Windows Live stuff I'm supposed to be able to download stuff on Win 7 and Outlook.

Copy all the files from Outlook Express dbx on the XP machine in the Win 7 machine.  Also, to find the wab (address book) file and copy that.  Then in Outlook try Alt | File | Options | Advanced | Export and click on the button "export".  Then gives you options to import messages or address book and OE to choose it.  I have not tried and it might not work, but this would be the simplest method and you wouldn't have to go through living things.

See instructions for import here: www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm for Windows Mail in Vista.  Most of the provisions continue to apply, but in Outlook Import Wizard may not have the quirkiness of the Vista one.  Dbx files cannot be readonly however and the folders.dbx file must be present.  And copy the dbx files to a folder on the desktop on the Win7 machine so you won't not permissions with importation problems.

Windows live mail do not have the ability to sort your mail to send you it? Help please was very impressed by the windows live mail on my laptop but now I can't sort my mail in my Outbox to see who send it

original title: Microsoft Office home & student 2010 -.

Your title says "Office Home and Student" (which does not include an email client), but the body says "Windows Live Mail".  Neither office not WIndows Live questions belong to this forum.  WIndows Live Mail questions should be posted here: http://windowslivehelp.com/product.aspx?productid=15.  Outlook 2010 questions belong here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-outlook

  • Why I can't stationary changes more on Windows Live Mail

I used to be able to change the hover on my emails in Windows Live mail and cannot do that, how do I get it back?

And WLMail 2010 must be held available for XP users who are no longer supported by the new version.

ITYM WLMail 2009. The 2010 version was a short-lived beta never lost on the general public. The last and the last WLMail for XP users is v. 2009 build 14.0.8117.0416, which will also be broadcast on Vista and W7 and that supports natively stationery.

  • How to export my contacts from Windows Live Mail on XP

I searched for this answer for the last 2 hours.  All the answers are for Vista & Windows 7.   How to export my Windows Live Mail addresses so that I can use in Thunderbird?  I'm moving to Thunderbird because quick view is off & on display unread messages.  They watch for a few days, then stop broadcasting.  Then repeat for a few days, then stop again.  This is happening for more than a month because there was an update of the first part of the last month.
But back to my original question.  How to export my contacts from Windows Live Mail.  When I click on the file to export and then export, there is nothing highlighted.   So, how can I get my contacts?  Or is there another way to do otherwise than through WLM >

    Thank you

This is happening for more than a month because there was an update of the first part of the last month.

There has been no update for WLMail 2009 since April 2010. Update do you think has affected your quick view?

How to export my contacts from Windows Live Mail.

Open the contacts window by clicking the address book at the foot of the folders pane. On the file menu, click export , and then select comma separated (CSV) values. If you don't see the menu bar, press ALT.

Note that the last statement on the help page (Export contacts) is wrong: by dragging the window contacts contacts on the desktop doesn't create any kind of file. In version 12 and 15, this produces a vCard (.vcf) file for each contact, but not in the version 14 (WLMail) 2009.

Windows Live Mail has its own support at the Windows Live Solution Centerforums. Please address any other question you may have on one of the forums on the right side of this page. You are probably asked to give your version of WLMail and Windows so that the answer may be more accurate. In WLMail to find your version of the software, a press on ALT - H. If it doesn't show you the version and the build number, press on escape to two times, and then Alt - F B.
