Windows Media Player Shuffle feature

I have Windows Media player 12 on Windows 7 64 bit.  I use the shuffle function with my playlists all the time.  I noticed that the media player tends to play the same songs over and over again.  It seems to me that its picking songs based on how many stars there is next to the song.  But I'm not giving these songs these stars.  I think that the stars appear here based on how many times the song is played.  If the song is chosen by the shuffle mode, it becomes a positive feedback loop.  Song shuffle randomly chooses the first time gain an increased likelihood to play next time I use shuffle.  But that takes me to the equation.  If I put them in the playlist, it means that I love.  I don't need the stars to help me.  How can I disable this feature so that the shuffle mode will be really random?

You can also create an automatic selection with affection as the play Date is before the last of the last 30 days and play this auto playlist instead. For more information, see automatic selection in the help of WMP. Tim Baets

  • Windows media player shuffle function does not work repeat the songs for two lanes

I run windows 7 and Media player as my player used by default since I use a computer a decade ago, I find it does everything what I want (in general), however, recently, when I open him and invariably put to play a playlist, if it's the shuffle, it seems to alternate between two songs, I then go manually click on another track that , for some reason, seems to sort it out. Any ideas please? Martin.

  • Problems with Windows Media Player 11 Shuffle

I absolutely love the shuffle on media player function until he began to play the same songs over and over again. I have about 16 500 songs in my library, there is no reason why the same 20 songs or more should continue to play again and again!

My question is: are there at - it anyway I can do the shuffle function legitimately randomly so that it continually select random pieces to read rather than play a selection of a few random songs over and over again?

    c. Select all files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

  • Why Windows Media Player is not displayed in my list of programs and features?

When I go into the Panel and then programs and features, Windows Media Player is not in the list. If I click on the Start button, then all programs, his list here. When I click on it, it opens, but it is not any music listed to see if it works. My question is, why it is not listed in the programs and features in Control Panel? Must indicate all items that are installed on my computer, at least I thought. If someone has an idea, I would appreciate a response. Thank you for your time and your help.

All the built-in programs that are part of the Vista operating system will NOT be displayed in programs and features. To simplify the reason, Windows Media Player 11 is part of the operating system and cannot be uninstalled. So there is not need to be listed in programs and features, whose main goal is to uninstall or repair any installed programs. Another example is Windows Defender.

    For your information:

In Windows 7, Windows Media Player 12 is also part of the operating system and it cannot be uninstalled and it will not reveal in programs and features either.

  • Y at - it a plugin/downgrade to Windows Media Player get older features?

I use the CDs and WMP9 is used because of the feature that allows titles to be disabled or enabled, and really, I don't want to rip my CD or get another audio player.

I tried the old WMP9 Installer, but he wouldn't even on Win7.

So is there any plugins that allow this function, or y at - it a downgrade patch that works for Win7.

    Hello

It is not possible to return to an earlier version of Windows Media Player in Windows 7.

Windows 7 comes with Windows Media Player 12 default. However, you can use another 3 party media player that has the same functionality as Windows Media Player 9.

Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

IPod is designed to be used with iTunes. Windows media player cannot sync with iPod shuffle, you must install the plugin for windows media player sync with iPod to third party.

NOTE: Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be resolved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

Check if the iPod shuffle is getting recognized in Device Manager.

    i. click Startand then click run.

II. type devmgmt.msc, and then click OK. Open the Device Manager window.

III. in the Device Manager search for the name of the device

    Go back with the results.
