  Hi all

  I got this question I was not able to find an answer yet and I wonder if anyone of you could help me out here.

  I had a laptop that I use for work, which has Windows 7 Ultimate and a lot of software and personal files, I need. I recently bought a new more powerful laptop that will replace the one I use at the moment.

  My question is,

  Can I do a full to the top of the computer that I use and put it on the new computer, I will get? And then update the laptop with its own pilots?
  Is worth it to do a cleaning installation at all instead?
  Is it possible to transfer files and software from one machine to another using some sort of tool such as that used for XP to 7 or Vista to 7? Do we not have a Win 7 for Win 7 one?

  Hi sam,

  You can take a full backup of the data on your computer and transfer it to the new computer, but for the application, you need to install a new copy of the same thing.

  You can even use transfer Windows-a tool that helps you transfer files and settings from one computer to the other. But as you mentioned that you transfer to a powerful computer hardware and software conflict may appear, if you have a full backup you can perform a clean installation.

  If your laptop has a version of Windows OEM, it cannot be moved to another computer. If a product is 'Full' of the Retail version and assumnig you have a valid product key, then Yes you can move. Retail 'Upgrade' version requires CD (which you own) of Windows 98 or ME, to complete the upgrade.

  I have Dreamweaver CS3 on an old computer that and want to install the version upgrade to Dreamweaver CS4 on my new computer.  The installation program ask my CS3 serial number but I can't find it by running DW CS3 on the old machine.  How can I get DW CS4 installed on my new machine.

  Hello.

  Please try following steps to recreate a link to the PDF files.

  1. move and place the PDF file all missing in the any folder to the new computer.

  2 open the Control Panel file Muse and hit open assets of Windows > assets

  3. right click on a missing PDF file and choose repeat the link.

  4. Select the correct file to recreate a link and it will connect all the missing files in the folder.

  In other words if you wish is to create folders on the desktop and do drag OE messages to these folders. Copy them to the Office on the new machine and then drag messages in office files to the OE files.
