Windows XP: reduce the size of the image

Original title: Mr.

I have photos that I had to go through power point to get the format to jpeg. Now, the pictures have a big square around the size of the photo. When I move the sides of the frame changes size.

How can I reduce the size of these pictures to adapt to another application

Thank you

It is not really clear what you want to do, but if you download IrfanView(free), you will probably find that it can do what you want.

IrfanView can: discovered many types of image file (jpg not only); convert the file format of one image to another. Crop images; resize images (as well physically and file size); and much more

  • Make a new window to repeat the image?

I have an image I want to tile seamlessly. So I do the shift-thing and clone. What I want to do now is to open a new window with the same image (window > reorganize > new window) filename.ext and tile then windows (Arrange > tile), but also make the new window to repeat the image so that I can see the changes I do reflect in repeated picture so I can get rid of unwanted habits. I hope I'm not too vague about my question! Thank you!

Thank you very much for your answers! I don't quite have it works as I wanted it well.

Can I sort my left of the window to display my image in a State not tiled so that I can change it while my right window shows the same image but tiled and zoom out and updates when I make changes in my left window? It's kind of a pain in the * to change my image, then copy and pasting in a table. Then go back and editing, table again. It is a problem even with an action. There may be other applications texturing for this type of workflow, but I thought that I was so close with the new feature of the window in PS

For the update part, you can use dynamic objects. There is a setting of the clock which is more complicated, but then you can use as a template for future work.

I just did that myself and describes the steps:

Create a canvas with a size that will fit perfectly plenty for example 1000 x 1000 to fit 100 places with the size 100 x 100.

On a new layer in the upper left corner, create a square of 100 x 100 with a color or an image.

Right click on the layer with the square of the Layer palette and choose Convert to smart object.

Hold the Alt key and drag the layer to the Summit 9 times the total of 10 copies of the layer.

On the Web, make sure there is no selection and drag with the tool moving one of the squares overlapping snapping at the top right of the Web (it's easy to align with the limits of the Document is checked in the view > Snap to menu).

In the palette layers shift, click on the first and the last layers to select all layers including the place.

Make sure that the move tool is selected and in its options at the top of the screen click on the button "Distribute Horizontal Centers" (the third from the right side).

While all segments are still selected in the layers palette, press Ctrl + G to group them.

Reproduce and distribute the Group vertically you duplicated the squares in the same way but using the button "Distribute vertical centers" instead. However, Alt + click - move a group does not work on a document with nothing else that a single group, and I had to reproduce the first group by right click on it and choose duplicate. Then you can Alt + drag and drop between the groups.

If you want, while all groups are selected, press Ctrl + Shift + group, ungroup and then Ctrl + group for organizing all the squares in a group and you're basically with the initial configuration.

Now, edit a tile and update the image.

In the Layer palette, double-click the icon of the any of the Smart layers with a square and this will open the place in its own window.

Change, create, or paste the new image on the image of this window and when you save this will update all the tiles in the other window.

Where not sure, when you change the place of the active layer, you can also use the Filters > other > horizontal shift and Vertical 50 pixels and for undefined areas, check Wrap Around. to help you to create a seamless tile. It creates seamless borders and all you have to do is to eliminate the seams in the middle with cloning or the paint tools.

Open Windows Photo Gallery > you can select one image at a time > click email at the top > select your image size > click on attach > repeat the same procedure in the following image and so forth

When in fact all the photos you've selected and resized will be attached to the same e-mail in Windows Mail. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

  • Reduce the image size after scanning

I have a problem, identify ways to reduce an image in size so it's pretty small to put in my remote (it's the words that I am allergic to penicillin in many different languages, preceded by the corresponding indicator).  I can crop the image so it shows just the words and the flag, but then I want to re-size (but this is grayed out in the list). I am at a loss. I've never had an all-in-one before so am probably being a bit thick I know, but you would appreciate the help.

    Thank you. AnneF

What model is your all-in-one?  What program you use to edit or print the image?

Press OK button to turn on the screen if it is in power save mode.  Move the up or down arrow to 'Copy', press OK, press the 'Settings' button then scroll down to 'Size', OK, then scroll upward or down to the appropriate setting.  If you select "Custom", OK, you can use the up and down arrows to select the reduce/enlarge scale factor, then press OK.

  • Why print multiple pages per sheet reduce the image?

Two pages of 5.5x8.5 must print 2-up on 8.5 x 11 WITHOUT reducing the size of the image. Taxation of basic page! (I'm talking about Acrobat DC, specifically.)

    The answer is very simple.

Acrobat does not currently a tool of imposition of real page. How Acrobat reduced the size of the pages has to do with areas conscious as defined by the printer driver and therefore, even if you try to make a booklet of 5.5x8 pages on paper 8.5 x 11, Acrobat reduced the size of the pages to accommodate the unprintable margins.

There are third party for Acrobat plugins that perform this and much more sophisticated tax functions.

  • Can there be a script to reduce the images by a percentage?

    Hello

I'm trying to decrease the file size of a .swf file.  To do this, I'll have to export all images in flash in photoshop, then reduce the size to a certain % to maintain the proportions of the origianl images in the. Fla.  After they have been downsized, I have to then reinsert them into flash and then place them were they should be to ensure that everything is in place correctly.  yeesh.

So to make my life a little easier, is there a way to set photoshop so that these images (all in a certain folder) can be treated so that they are say, 60% of the original size for each of them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you can create folders on each image that Photoshop should be able to do for you that action of one simple step should you need not a script. Use file menu > Automate > batch Point dialog box to your files and your little batch resize action.  Checking size of Resample image and constrain select the interpolation like Bicubic Sharper method and set the width on the pecent of the initial width like 90%

  • Pop-up window to reduce the number of pages?

Well, I have a page with a lot on the icons where link to another 20 pages respectively. It's a little embarrassing because there are a lot of pages that I need to deal with and so confused.

What I want to do is reduce the amount of pages by the presence of a widget. For example, I can set a preset and just change some info about the widget. Then by clicking on each icon watch respective info.

    Is this possible?

I'm sorry that I'm so new to Muse. Thanks for the help.

Personally I won't use a pop up unless there is very little information there. I would like to use something like the panels by tabs or accordion widgets for this.

But to achieve what you want to yoyo can watch using the composition of ToolTip widget.

  • Is there a way to reduce the size of images without doing it in photoshop?

    Hi all

I have a document with a ton of images, all of high resolution press ready. I need now this doc to the web, even at low resolution, the pdf file is still 6 MB.

Is there a way to reduce the images in the file for the web without batch processing in photoshop? Just curious.

    See you soon

    S

You should be able to reduce the size of the PDF file by changing export settings. In the export settings you can flatten transparency (PDF 1.3 can produce a smaller file), convert CMYK to RGB (output > color Conversion), lower quality of resolution and compression (Compression tab).

  • size of the image file

    Hi all

I have an application that includes the photo module. I use under encoding settings:

    String encoding = "encoding = jpeg & width = 1024 & height = 768 & quality = normal;

The problem is the image size. For the same scene when I use 9780 it is approximately 350KB for 9800, it is only 80KB. Can someone please explain the reason for this difference?

Y at - it no additional or other adjustment means that I can use to reduce the size of the file for 9780? (physical size 1024 * 768 should not be changed).

    Thank you.

Could not find any additional setting. I used the method to reduce the image quality and therefore the size of the image file without changing the resolution of the image below.

    JPEGEncodedImage.encode (bitmap, QUALITY);
