    My suggestion is:
    1. create another account as administrator account.
2 remove your corrupt admin account.
During the withdrawal of your account, you will receive an option to backup your data before removal. Take this option.

  • Firefox crashed and now I don't have one of my favorites. How can I restore them? Thank you!

My computer locked up and I had to remove the battery to restart. Update of Firefox, and when he came online, none of my favorites are there. When I went in hidden files, was there either. Is in any way to restore my bookmarks? And how do I save my favorites in a file that I can restore in case this happens again.

I'm on Windows 8 on a laptop Dell Inspiron.

    Thank you!

OK, thanks for your answers. You will think I'm a total jerk, but I'm not as tech savvy as you all. It turns out that update of Mozilla, it lack the toolbar to hidden. If the data was all there, just hidden. (very embarrassed that I didn't have to look for something like that). All I had to do was "Show toolbar". Maybe this can help someone else. But now I'm sure I have back ups.

  • How can I restore my digital media licenses after a system crash, restore?

I have a vast music library to my home network which (intelligently), was located on an external drive attached to my HP Media Center m7257c. My p / has developed a problem after a hardware conflict and the system crashed and I was forced to restore from scratch using the disks in the system. NOW, I have no library. It's on the outer as always and everyone can use it, but I'm headed to a microsoft Web site that told me that "this license cannot be restored because it has been downloaded more than 10 times".

I found this for being rather fun as 60% or so of my media library are tracks cut from the LP's (a very LONG process involving 600 + albums) and saved a lot of video family film 8 mm and VHS tapes who never had no protection against copying in the first place, so what gives?

Anyone who can possibly think to a workaround for this problem would be an Angel!

    Thank you.

  • I lost the standard windows color scheme on my windows 7 Home Basic. How can I restore it?

My windows 7 standard colors suddenly lost after I used the quick heal PC tuner. I adjust my PC several times before, but this never happened. Now the list of system colors shows that the conventional windows and four high-contrast themes. My color palette is set to the classic look. Is it possible to restore my standard color scheme? I am using windows 7 Home Basic and I keep the windows updates turned off because my network connection is a bit slow.

I would open a system restore (type 'restore' in your Start menu search box to find it) and come back in until you have used the program to heal.  System restore only takes 2 minutes and not lose any of your files (it only restores system files and the registry settings).

And concise consider a Pro, never use all programs 'tune up '.  Trust me.  You wouldn't believe how much I earn people charging to address what's going on.  Windows is robust and takes care of himself these days.

somehow, I erased all my desktop icons.  How can I restore them?

You can restore them by right-clicking somewhere on your desktop, not taskbar... on your background screen... then go to customize and then click on "Change Desktop Icons" on the left bar then check the box for icons that you want to appear on your desktop, then click on apply, then ok...

Then they should appear... If they haven't then click right on your desktop again then go to view, then make sure that "show desktop icons" are checked.

The other missing shortcuts, you will need to create manually... If you need help then let me know...

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers community.

Try the steps one by one and check below.

    STEP 1:
How do I add or remove games in Windows XP
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/307768

    STEP 2:

In most cases if the games are deleted from the computer files will remain on the computer.

I suggest that you are looking for game files in the system32 folder.

Later, click on Start menu click on run and type c:\\windows\system32 in the following search of the window for the file of games like free cell. If you get the files in the system32 folder then copy the file to c:\\program files\start menu\ later in the game folder.

    STEP 3:
If fails it above steps, try a system restore to the point when the game was available on the computer.

It is always sensible in this situation to achieve a malware check

Start the computer in safe mode with network and download and install Malwarebytes (free version for individuals only), updated definitions and run in safe mode. Disable other security software while you do the analyses.

How can I restore my system XP to factory settings with on a boot disk? System Restore won't let me back to a date. I need to clean and start over with on a XP boot disk.

You will need to go on the manufacturer of your pc and then ask for a windows xp disk and drivers. This will give you a new copy, but not out of the box state. For an out of the box, get a recovery disk. Just answer what you want.

  • I lost my recovery for Windows Vista disk. How can I restore the computer to its original factory State?

I lost my recovery for windows Vista disk. How can I restore the computer to its original factory State? I can't find how to create recovery discs, I did not have this option in the Recovery Manager

    Hello

Here are the different ways to reinstall vista

Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, 0 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

or borrow a microsoft dvd vista

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed
