Won't convert files using pdf export.

I installed pdf export and used successfully over the past two years. My subscription is considered to be paid. When I try to convert I get an error message ' year error occurred while trying to access the service.

I tried Adobe support and finally got referred to a Counsellor in Asia. Who tried to help, but there were difficulties in the conversation. It requires access to my machine and I had to go to a link for Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro. This just kept hanging. So I asked not to use Mozilla, but go to the Explorer I made but Explorer would not accept the link and when I told my contact he unplugged the phone. In total, I've lost 40 minutes on the phone.

As you cannot e-mail Adobe it seems I have to raise this length with perhaps the same result.

Someone at - it ideas?

Hi K nicholls,

You use Adobe Reader to access the pdf export service to convert the file.

If so, update player to the last v 11.0.10, and then check out. Also make sure that you're signed in with your Adobe ID in Reader.

Can you please also try to connect to the web url: https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf with your Adobe ID and check if you are able to convert the file or not.

Kind regards

Rave

There are many ways. If you use a MS Office product, they have options to save in pdf format, if using Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can subscribe to services export to PDF and use Adobe Acrobat (the full version) is made to create pdf files, you can then use that. There are other options, but it's a start.

  • That means in fact 'clear history' once you have converted files from pdf into word documents?

@ Which means 'delete history' once you have converted files from pdf into word documents? It will remove the orininal PDF?

    Hi Granduff,

Delete history only removes information on the exported files. It does not remove the files.

You can find all the converted files in the files tab to "https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf" and find the original PDF in the same place.

  • Adobe reader 11 and dc crashes after trying to connect to use pdf export.

I have adobe installed CD player and after signing to do the export adobe pdf, it crashed. CD player would crash whenever I tried to run after that. Uninstalling and reinstalling drive dc fixed the crash until I went to reconnect to use pdf export. So, I removed the CD player and installed reader 11. Drive 11 blocks the moment I click on connect. Anyone has any suggestions I can try to solve this problem?

    Hi maryl1671466,

Export PDF service is not compatible with Reader 11 so there is no interest in trying it.

Uninstall any previous installer using this link Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat cleaning - Adobe Labs tool, reboot your system & reinstall CD player using this link Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution, Sign In using your adobe ID to use the service to export it in PDF format.

Otherwise, you can also use the export to PDF Online https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf

Let me know how it goes.

We had the same thing happen.   After crossing reinstall Acrobat 9Pro, we finally tried to watch the program Microsoft Word 2007 and noticed that he was missing the Adobe PDF tab.  So after getting add-in loaded once again, the problem has not recurred.  Go figure...

  • I need to convert files to PDF for excel.

I have Windows XP Home Edition on my laptop.  I can covert to PDF files?  If so, then how?  Downloads only I've found are for Windows Office.

I assume you mean you want to print an Excel worksheet in pdf format.

The best way to do this is to download and install free CutePDF Writer.

Then simply select CutePDF Writer as a "printer" when you want to print from any application, including Excel.  Is not "convert" an existing file.  You must open the file in the correct application and then create a new PDF by "impression."

  • Adobe membership is necessary to convert files to PDF format?

Adobe membership is required to convert the files to the Formats PDF and other file formats?  Is there a product open source out there who can do the same thing for free?  Adobe is worth the money?

There are a lot of options "Print to PDF" there.  Many are free.  Some are not.  Some applications can SAVE to the PDF format natively (such as Microsoft Office, Google Chrome, etc.)

If you need something that costs money is determined by your SPECIFIC needs (at this stage unknown).

So... maybe doPDF or BullZIP will do what that * you * need, or maybe not?

  • too big files in pdf export

I'm using CS5 FW on a PC. Whenever I export a PDF multi-page document, pages export about 150% of what they should be. The document is always 72 dpi 100%, so I know this isn't a resolution problem. Anyone ideas?

    Have you tried:

    1. In Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader, select Edition > Preferences.

    2. In the left pane, select Page display.

    3. The value Custom resolution 72 pixels per inch.

    4. Set the value to 100% Zoom.

This should improve the quality of rendering to the screen.

  • can I convert word to pdf free files?

Anyway is to convert a word in a PDF document for free?

    Hi bamagurl4life,

Adobe offers no free option to convert Word files to PDF format. However, you are welcome to try Acrobat for 30 days to see if it meets your needs. See www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html for more information. You can also consider an Adobe PDF package subscription; the two who and Acrobat will allow you to convert files to PDF format.
