Word 2003 Save in pdf
I want Word 2003 to be able to save documents as read-only pdf files. Do I need Acrobat and if so what version please?
Any version of Acrobat will do (the choices are only Standard or Pro, in)
in all cases). It allows to convert the Word file in PDF format, and you can
apply the security settings that you want to make it 'read-only' (you
may need to define a little better, if), using a password.

It would be useful to know how you try to do the conversion. Try to print to the Adobe PDF printer.

How can you save a .docx word attachment in a .pdf file in Outlook 2010
I receive many emails I have attachments in word .doc or .docx format. I want to be able to "save under" a PDF WITHOUT having to open the document, and to go through all this rigamarole. There must be a way to "save under" a PDF somewhere in this program...
Please note that I don't want to save the E-MAIL message as a pdf. I want to save the attachment, which is a word doc to a pdf file without having to open it! Tab file, save as saves ONLY the message and not the attachment in pdf format.
Thank you!
You must manually convert the files if they are not in the right format, or tell people who send allows them to use PDF.
The fastest way I can think of is to print documents using the enabling Adobe PDF writer.

Why does the word end when I try to save a .pdf file?
I assume you are using the Save in format PDF Adobe Acrobat CC feature.
If this is the case, the problem is in the code of Microsoft for which an update was issued the week last by Microsoft. Update your Office 365 and the problem should go away.

My Adobe Reader 11 saves all PDF files into Word documents and I know no way
I do a backup as with a PDF file and it saves as a Word document. I have to convert the Word document to a PDF file in a Word document by right click and convert. Why the file record in Word format first?
Hi Shane,
On the icon of the document itself, right click, select Properties. On the "Général" tab, in "Open with", click the button change, choose the Adobe program, click ok, apply, ok.
Kind regards

It is possible to work with Word 2003 to export to PDF?
I have Word 2003. Export to PDF is possible to work with it, or do I have to get the latest version of Word? Impression on the conversions does not just at times.

Thank you. It seems that is what it will take, unless I update for Word 2007 at least.

Page numbers appear as 5 1 and 2 of 2121 in a PDF file created from a Word 2003 document
Merge us several Word 2003 documents into 1 larger document that we have and then convert to PDF format. In the Word document page numbers display correctly - 1 of 21, 21 2, 21 3, etc. We then convert this merged to PDF document by double-clicking the file name and choose "Convert to Adobe PDF". For those of us with Adobe Acrobat Standard 8.1.3, page numbers in the converted PDF file display as 1 of 1, 2, 1... 21 of 1. Those with Acrobat Professional 8.1.3, they appear as 1 of 21, 2121 2, 3 of 212121, etc., each page by adding another number of total pages in total. There is no change in the result if using v8.0.0 or 8.1.4 anyone have ideas?
Open the Word document merged and printing to the Adobe PDF printer worked!
We had tried to launch Acrobat and create the PDF that elsewhere, but there was no difference. Never thought to try to print to the PDF printer...
I'll also try the upgrade of my office for 2007 and see if that solves the problem, allowing us to "convert to PDF".
Thank you very much for your help, Bill.

Make a PDF of non-standard size of Microsoft Word 2003 on pc
I have Acrobat 8 Professional (pc, operating system Windows XP) and want to know how to make a pdf from Microsoft Word (2003) where the size of my document remain as they are, a non-standard size, such as 5.5 "x 8.5". All the choices of "paper size" is standard, and if I check "Custom" and type the non-standard dimensions, it does not work. In other programs, such as InDesign, I can make a pdf to any size of document I want without any problem. Does anyone know how to make this work for Word on pc?
You can create a customized for Acrobat page size.
In Word:
- File > print (choose AdobePDF) > Properties.
- On the Properties of the Document Adobe PDF tab, choose Add beside the size of Page Adobe PDF.
- Type a name for your new custom page size and type in your dimensions.
- Click Add/change to close this window, and then select your newly created in the drop-down list paper size.
- Click Ok to close this window
- Click OK to print
For a later printing, you may not redefine the page, simply choose from the menu drop down.

Adobe Acrobat Pro 2015 supports Microsoft Word 2003?
I installed Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.1 to the 2015 edition. Previously, I had the toolbar tabs in Excel and Word 2003 that allowed me to CLICK and save it as a .pdf. This seems to have disappeared. The last stop Pro supports Win2003? If so, how?

I need to change from Word 2003 to Word 2010 documents located on a flash drive. Not very computer savvy!
Hello
You can follow the steps and then check.
Step 1, Open the Word file.
Step 2, Press Office button at the top left, go in record under and choose Word 97-2003 Document.
Step 3, enter a new name in the file name field, or simply use the same name in the original .doc file.
Step 4 click Save to convert doc to docx, in seconds, the file will be viewed in the format .docx as soon as the conversion from Word 2003 to Word 2010.
If the problem exists, you can ask your question in the forums Office to improve assistance in this regard.

I don't where it can be downloaded from your Web site and pls show me the way how step by step.
Thank you.
All you have to do is to download and install the freeware "CutePDF Writer".
CutePDF Writer: <> http://www.cutepdf.com/products/cutepdf/writer.asp >You will need to install the program to the writer and the program GhostScript which is posted on the Web site.
After installing the program, just open your Word or Excel file (or any other file that prints) and select 'File--> Print. When you do so, you will find that you have a new printer installed called "CutePDF Writer". Print this "printer" and it will ask you what file name to save your .pdf file in.HTH,

Is there anyway to save a PDF file as an Excel workbook? I use Vista Home Premium.
I tried to copy/paste, except as - can only save as PDF file. I tried to use Adobe, but it doesn't allow me to do unless I purchase the program. I have only about 6 or 8 documents to convert, so I don't want to spend the $$ that Adobe wants. Is it possible through the window or Microsoft Office?
