  I suggest you try the following steps:

  1. quit Lightroom

  2. open Finder: click on Go - Go to the folder and type ~/library

  3 open the Application Support - Adobe

  4 rename the folder Lightroom-Lightroom-old (by GetInfo - in respect of the name Extension of &)

  5. start Lightroom again after that.

  I don't find the DXO module in lightroom cc. And DXO Pro 10, it is not possible to export in Lightroom. I have this message "Lightroom is not installed".

  According to DxO technical support, export from Lightroom CC/6 function will be in the next version of DxO Optics (i.e. 10.5 I hope).

• Why anyone would use ACR when you already work with Lightroom?

  Tutorials show it's a stream of practical work to open a photo raw as a smart object in Photoshop, then click on the symbol in the layer to open the layer the cab to 'develop' the photo. But what is the value of the one next to the first develop your first in the Lightroom Develop module?

  (My guess would be that after working in lightroom develop, and open it as a smart object in photoshop, you can always open the layer in ACR also, to tweak shows more if necessary.) It is even possible to not know if going back to lightroom to change layer basic manifest again module)

  Strange (or maybe not) thing is I saw Scott Kelby working on a raw photo in Lightroom Develop module, change the saturation, saying that he would add some extra saturation in Photoshop. In Photoshop it has not added in the layer with the cab. I thought that on top of the information developed would give a worse effect than to do what you can on the raw information. Or maybe I don't really understand this work with raw information about different software tools.

  Which leads to my misunderstanding is dat a statement said Adobe you can open a photo raw as a smart object in Photoshop and then work on the layer in ACR. She did not notify startup of Lightroom to develop, while the development mode is the same as ACR. Especially convenient for saying that, because there seems to be a difference: in Lightroom, you work on the original raw and in Photoshop as a smart object, you work on a copy of the flood. Which is not really true, because in Lightroom raw alwas remains raw with information above it. Then with the answer of you from twenty_one the only reason to work with the cab would you want a copy of the raw photo in your Photoshop project with the choice of its own development.

  Now ill try to find more information on the differences between the crus, demosaicing (probably misspeld) in different ways and the differences in work on the original raws, developed the raws/naves, TIFF and jpg.

• External hard drive on PC work with Lightroom on a Mac?

  I keep the Lightroom Catalog and photos on an external drive and use with Lightroom on a PC. Can I use the same external drive on a Mac with Lightroom system or should I format a new external drive for Mac? If so what is the best way to transfer the data?

  External drive has been formatted for PC and Mac I have one that was buying and the other I had to format it for MAC?  If this isn't the case, you must save the files to another device and format or buy a 2nd one.  I bought a 2nd one and now use a back ups.

  I'm sure it's a bug LR6, which I already reported to Adobe.

  A user on Lightroom forums identified a cut registration to apparently to solve the problem. It's here if you want to try: import Lightroom CC?-Lightroom Forums, although personally I don't mess with the registry just to avoid two extra mouse clicks whenever I wanted to do an import. YMMV.

  Your images can be stored anywhere, in any folder, on any hard drive connected to your computer. If you do not want to move out of the Photos folder is fine. But there is no need to be nervous about it. There is nothing magical about the photo folder. It's just a folder on your computer. However, once you have put them in a folder (no matter where it is), it's probably best to not move because Lightroom will lose its reference to the images. It is easy to fix this. But until you understand Lightroom a bit more, it probably isn't a good idea.

  I just tried to download the Raw files from a Canon 5 d Mark III to Lightroom 3.  The file have not been recognized.  According to me, there were a few problems update, but my Lightroom 3 is updated.  I need Lightroom 4?  I need to know that I have a meeting tomorrow and will go back to my Mrk II if I can't get an update of Lightroom 3 emergency.

  The latest version of LR3 has been updated in last December, and the 5D.3 is more recent than that, then Yes you need LR4.

  You can download the trial LR4 (or just the update 4.1 www.adobe.come/downloads/updates/ LR) and have 30 days before you need to purchase and enter a serial number.

  The other choice is to use the 7.1 to DNG Converter that knows your new camera, but allows the converted DNG open in LR3.

  When you have your printer do the color management, you will need to tell Lr color is .

  Only one of the two can do the color management: the printer or Lr. If both are you will get bad results. It goes the same for Photoshop.

• Old serial number does not work with new Lightroom

  I bought 4 Lr in October 2012. I recently bought a new computer and downloaded Lr5 but my serial number won't work now. I was told in a conversation, I have licensed cs4 and it won't work with Lr 5. What I have to buy another serial number or I can just pass?

  Serial numbers are specific to a version of Lightroom. A serial number Lightroom 4 does not work with Lightroom 5. Adobe sells no more than 5 of Lightroom. If this is the version that you think you want then it would be necessary for you to find a retailer like Amazon or B & H Photo, etc. You can buy an upgrade to Lightroom 6. But be aware that Lightroom 6 is 64-bit only. You mentioned that you were trying to upgrade to Lightroom 5. To accomplish what you expect? What are your expectations?
