Would be a 3 GHz i3 be a good computer for hearing

Hi, I m trying to get a computer for a community radio station that will use auditioning CS6.  We have a bit of a budget, but not a massive one.  Thought get a 3 GHz i3 or higher (budget about £110).  We have an audio interface USB Tascam 4 x 4 that we'll run on it.  You want to be able to send the output to listen (on another computer).  We will save you 4 tracks and put a limiter on Volume of speech and, possibly, an EQ on 2 of the tracks and let the other 2 unfiltered.

The machine works well.  He'll give us a lot of leeway.  How well a PC it will be hearing CS6?

Curious to know if it's actually a little more dotted, if we spend less that we can also use it on a monitor?

Ben

Instead of a lot of processor speed, you need a lot of memory and a second fast hard drive large enough for your audio files... Hearing works best when there are separate hard disks for operating system and storage.  What operating system do you intend to run on it?
