Write the names of color shade used as text on the artboard

Anyone know if it is possible to write a script that will take all your 'color chart used' and write a list of their names to swatch on the artboard?  Would be very useful for the art approval documents.

#target illustrator

function swatchNamesToText() {

     if (app.documents.length = 0) {

          return;

     } else {

          var docRef = app.activeDocument;

          var sel = docRef.selection;

          if (sel.length == 1 && sel[0].typename == 'TextFrame') {

               var nameList = Array();

               var swatGrps = docRef.swatchGroups;

               for (var i = 0; i < swatGrps.length; i++) {

                    if (swatGrps[i].name != 'Fabrics'

                         && swatGrps[i].name != 'Default Elements'

                         && swatGrps[i].name != 'Universal Fabrics') {

                         var grpList = swatGrps[i].getAllSwatches();

                         for (var j = 0; j < grpList.length; j++) {

                              if (grpList[j].name != '[None]'

                                   && grpList[j].name != '[Registration]') {

                                   nameList.push(grpList[j].name);

                              }
                         }

                    }

               }

               sel[0].contents = nameList.join('\r');

          }

     }

};

  • Can after get values a RGB pixel, hoe I write the name of the color?

    Team,

    I'm quite new to LabVIEW and I'm working on an application using USB webcam to capture the color of the object.

    So far, it's finished, but now I need to write the name of the color on the screen.

    Please, could someone help identify if IMAQ or Labview have this feature?

    For help in understanding:

    Below you can see the example.

    R = 236

    G = 0

    B = 116

    And the name of the color is pink.

    But the problem is how to get the name by using certain features available.

    Thank you.

    Kind regards

    JCG

    There is not such a function, but you can create a pretty easily.

    I would divide each color component by 64 and to get a value of 2 bits for each color.  Combining these (multiply/shift and add) would give you a 6-bit integer, which gives you 64 color combinations.  Create an array of 64 strings with the names of the colors and the correct name indexes.  You need to browse manually the first time and assign a name to each color, but that wouldn't be too bad.

  • Color chart of rating used on the artboard

    I am trying to create a list of the witnesses that are used on a single work plan in a document that could contain more than a work plan. The document uses stupid colors. My script checks if it uses CMYK and stops with an alert if it does. I was able to get a list of the shades in the whole of the document in a loop of the sepInkList and by checking the inkInfo.printingStatus property. However, I am unable to do this for a single work plan. In the print dialog box, if I choose to print a single work plan, Illustrator is smart enough to only select the colors used on the artboard. However, I'm not able to simulate this in a script.

    This is the script I used:

      var activeAB = doc.artboards[doc.artboards.getActiveArtboardIndex()];
      var sepOptions = new PrintColorSeparationOptions();
      sepOptions.colorSeparationMode = PrintColorSeparationMode.HOSTBASEDSEPARATION;
      var printJobOptions= new PrintJobOptions();
      var printOptions = new PrintOptions();
      var activeArtboardNumber=doc.artboards.getActiveArtboardIndex();
      printJobOptions.printAllArtboards = false;
      var printPage=activeArtboardNumber + 1;
      printJobOptions.artboardRange = printPage.toString();
      printOptions.colorSeparationOptions = sepOptions;
      printOptions.jobOptions = printJobOptions;
      var iLength = sepInkList.length;
      for(var i=0; i<iLength; i++) {
           if (sepInkList[i].inkInfo.printingStatus == InkPrintStatus.ENABLEINK) {
                var textRef = doc.textFrames.add();
                textColor = doc.swatches.getByName(sepInkList[i].name).color;
                textRef.contents = sepInkList[i].name;
                textRef.textRange.size = 12;
                textRef.textRange.fillColor = textColor;
           }
      }

    However, this always displays all colors in the document not only the work plan.

    Is - this here anyway to make Illustrator activate only the inks in the active work plan?

    hide all objects, except for the active artboard, hidden object does not print.

  • Write "Version name" in the field "title"?

    I would export JPEGs from Aperture into lots and then import the images in the "Photos" application I would like to that the opening of 'Name of the Version' to become the "title" of the image in case of 'pictures '.

    Is it possible to write the name of the Version of the opening of the batch to the export of field before (or during) 'Title' Aperture opening?

    Thanks David

    I don't see an easy way to do it.

    Batch change presets allow only a constant string for the title field.

    However, you can change the file name for the version name, if you use 'Apply to the original file' in metadata > Batch change dialog box.

    As you probably know, the pictures does not use the names of files as the default titles, but you can use the script Script: batch change the titles to the w/Extension of file name in the Photos section user tip to copy the names of files in the title, once you have migrated the photo library.

    Or modify the script to copy the version names in the field title in Aperture.

  • Write the name of shared variable wsn-3202 the string of the action file name

    I use the output of several nodes Variable shared, assigned to an analog WSN-3202, as input in writing to measurement file Express VI. They are merged before entering write it as file Express VI using merge signals. I write data to a file text (VLM). In the output text file the columns containing data from the analog channels WSN-3202 are titled "Untitled", "Untitled 1", "Untitled 2" and so on. " I want that these titles to be based on the WSN-3202 node name and the channel they represent. How this is done? I've attached the output text file.

    Hello

    There is a VI called to set Dynamic Data attributes where you set your signal name.

    I hope this helps!

  • Whenever I update "send/receive" a message asking me to write the network password and user name.

    I am connected to wifi in the hotel (Orange) and I can't SEND email, I just have to receive them.

    Whenever I update "send/receive" a message asking me to write the network password and user name. This from my mail server (not orange because that one is ok I have access to the internet).

    Most of the suppliers do not let you send if you are not connected through them, or they have special settings.  So for now, see if you can access your e-mail via webmail and use this interface and in the future, contact your ISP and ask them if there is a way to send emails when you are connected through a different network.

    < class p 'c3' = > Octenol is a natural chemical that occurs naturally as a by-product of the plants and animals that eat a lot of vegetables produce. If carbon dioxide is mixed with octenol, it turned to be an attractant for several species of mosquitoes. There are other insects like the fire of the ships and the fire ships which are also attracted to this perfume. It turned out to be a very effective product, especially for the fire ships. < br / >

    Octenol is also a pesticide ingredient which is used to attract mosquitoes and flies that bite. He does not kill insects; It only attracts them. It can be used in combination with other products and devices that kill once they are successfully attracted the device. It is important to know that no pests are also lured and destroyed by some of the features. < br / >

    If octenol is ingested, there is a possibility of toxicity. However, it is not harmful in the air to humans, animals or the environment. It is extremely important that it is kept safely of children to avoid the risk of ingestion. Placement of repulsion and the device used to catch biting insects must be carefully considered. It should be kept safely away from children and pets. < br / > < / p >

    Why all the CDATA tags in your styles?  You don't need them there and they create problems.

    You have considered all this reconstruction without tables?  A large part of your code looks like it comes from MS Word which is not optimal for the web.

    The background image is + 1000px of wide and 374,01 KB (382 985 bytes).  For the fastest loading backgrounds, consider using Gradients in CSS or small, seamless tiles and repeating to fill the viewport.

    Honestly, I don't see anything here that couldn't be done better & much more effectively with a formatting table-less CSS. You want me to show you how?

    I want to create the user in the direct areas but I found thi message

    The requested account name is already in use or has been used in the past and has not been through the waiting period required of re - use.

    Can you help me

    Hi, Ahmed.

    It seems that the domain name you have selected is not available (or has already been used and it is found that the previous owner of the domain has used the same user name as an account).  In any case we can not help you here.  You need help from domain.live.

    Please go to http://help.live.com/help.aspx?project=domains&market=en-us&querytype=keyword&query=SNIAMODTUOBA&tmt=&domain=domains.live.com&format=b1 and down, click on support and follow the prompts to get help.  Although it is technically to the implementation of the field, I'm sure that your application will be either still answered or they will direct you to the proper location for assistance.

    In addition, you can try http://windowslivehelp.com/product.aspx?productid=25 for help Windows Live Administration.  If you can not find help with solutions validated or by performing a search, try posting in the forums.  I suggest the following for the problem that you specified: http://windowslivehelp.com/forums.aspx?forumid=7e6f04c0-6a48-4719-98f4-a9729d34c76e.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Sharing of readers do not reconnect - error "an error occurred during connection [drive letter]: [share name] Microsoft Windows network: the local device name is already in use." This connection has not been restored. »

    Original title: Shared readers do not reconnect

    I have two PCs connected wireless. A laptop (Vista Business) was the drives mapped to actions on the other PC (XP). Whenever the Vista PC is started or out of hibernation, or after only a short period of time these discs are not available. Click on the drive in Explorer to display the message "an error occurred during connection [drive letter]: [share name] Microsoft Windows network: the local device name is already in use." This connection has not been restored. »

    If I click on 'Network' within Solution Explorer, the XP PC is not visible. The only way that I can "reconnect" these disks is to go into my anti-virus (Trend) and open the network map. This shows the XP PC and then the shares are available through Explorer - XP PC is still not visible by clicking network however.

    It started only happens in the last two months - cannot locate exactly when, but quite recently. I use connections to store small files and backup critical files a few before nailing the laptop away and it is quite annoying to have to go through this routine every time.

    Any ideas?

    Just in case it helps others - I found that if I make sure that my XP PC has a fixed IP address, and then set up the shares so that they are defined using the IP address and not share names, then I do have more problems - seems like it's something to do with Windows solve the share names rather than something to do with the personal firewall after all.

  • Change all the names of Swatch "Name with color value"?

    Y at - it a Javascript command change the nuances in a document to the "Name with color value" box in the Swatch Options? I know there are scripts to change the names of swatch based on the value of the color, but I'm looking for a script that applies this specific to all checkbox.

    Thanks in advance!

    This should do it:

    (function(){
      var doc=app.activeDocument,
      sw=doc.swatches.everyItem().getElements(),
      c;
      for(var i=3; i
  • Show only the colors already used in the document?

    Hello!

    Is it possible somewhere see what colors I already used when you work with a document? I think it would be nice to have the option, for example, the swatches Panel to display only colors of selected by the user so that I can come and go in my color palette of 6 to 10 very quickly. It would be kind of a 'color story '. Is it possible to somehow?

    Image--> Mode--> indexed color, then use the options to record and edit palettes...
