Writing in an XML file.

Well boys and girls

I do a simple application so I can see my schedule of work through the internet.
Now I got it to work with an XML file that fills a datagrid.
The thing I can't understand is how can I add new nodes with certain text entry fields.
So I need to grab the text of thos fields and then add them to my existing XML file.
Please help me!

PS. the app is located here http://members.chello.nl/f.hoekstra01

No, sorry, it is not as simple as that. This example illustrates only manipulate xml. It does not have to access the files on the server.

In fact, source = 'test.xml' is a compile time operation. The XML is baked into the SWF, and there is no communication with the server at runtime at all.

You must have some features for this server-side.

Better sink in my example. It is almost as simple as that, especially if you ignore the xml manipulation on the client side.

  • the .xml file will not hold the new version I am writing on the 'AIR for iOS settings' window on Flash cc 2015

    Hello

    I need to download a new version of my app on iOS, but the .xml file will not hold the new version I am writing on the 'AIR for iOS settings' window on Flash cc 2015. It keeps appearing as:

    <? XML version = "1.0".

    also when I try to download the new .ipa on iTunes Connect with the Application Loader, I get this message:

    "" "ERROR-ITMS-4238:"redundant binary Upload. " «"" "" There is already a binary download with release ' 1.0.0' train ' 1.0.0 ' "at SoftwareAssets/PreReleaseSoftwareAsset»»»

    The problem is not of Application Loader or iTunes Connect as when I open again the .fla and check the window 'AIR for iOS parameters' he continues to display the 1.0 version over and over again. If Flash isn't that save the .xml file.

    And it happens with all my other apps Android or iOS, old and new versions, all appear as <? XML version is "1.0" on the .xml file.

    Is anyone know how can I solve this problem?

    Thank you.

    There are two different values, the build number and version number. If you use a test flight, you can submit an update without obtaining a review by increasing the build number. If you are submitting an update to an application in iTunesConnect, you must increment the version number.

  • Writing a XML file

    I have successfully read a XML file in my script and data used.  Very convenient.

    Now, I want to be able to create an XML file and save it.

    I saw in the documentation for the addition of a child and so on - so I think I can handle this small.

    I guess I can save a file (locally) - but how? I was not able to find a "Save".

    If you are targeting FlashPlayer 10.x and store your data in an XML object, use this:

    #save () .html http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/ActionScript/3/Flash/NET/FileReference

    var yourXML:XML = {your object/XML data};

    var file:FileReference = new FileReference();

    leader. Save (yourXML, "YourXMLFilename.xml");

  • Writing an XML file on disk using PHP

    Hello.

    I decided it's time to ask for help with the issue I'm having.

    I have a photo gallery that loads images with a legend with the aid of a local XML file. I want the user to click on a photo to change the caption and thus change the XML. Then I need to rewrite the XML in Flex updated in the local XML file. I'm really surprised that I was not able to find examples online. I learned that the security settings are preventing us to write directly on the Flash/Flex, the solution disk, with I came is therefore to use PHP. Currently, Flex passes the XML updated string to the PHP script and PHP replaces the local XML file with the string.

    I have 2 numbers.

    1. I can see in the bin-debug folder that the updated file XML is written correctly, but raise the request meets my TileList with OLD data.  The strange thing is that if I delete the XML file completely from my project (source and bin-debug folders), or if I change the URL in the httpService to an alias file, the application still works very well with old data. The other weird thing is that a few times during my troubleshooting, suddenly has worked well as expected. I tried to clean up the project and many other things that I can't even remember (like changing the path to the PHP/XML files, run the application outside of Flex Builder, change the path to build in the project settings)...

    Am I right in thinking it's weird, or am I missing something really simple? Any ideas? I'm even on this a good way to write the XML through PHP?

    2. the second question, I think is less important, but I will explain because maybe it is related to the first. By clicking on the button to call the PHP script causes the text "localhost... data transfer". "appears at the bottom of my browser indefinitely.

    Thanks in advance.

    Simply attach a timestamp after each call to xml:

    var req:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("http://localhost/gallery.xml?refresh=" + new Date () .getTime ());

    This will make the browser suggests that the link can be potentially a different content due to URL variable evolution and recharge it every time.

  • [Database Toolbox] possibility to Load From xml file in Labview and then in the database

    Before you write in my database, I want to save it and reload if the user wants to cancel the new charge that can last several minutes.

    If he cancels the load I get back my previous database data.

    I managed to save my database in XML through the "DB tools SaveRecordSet To File" VI. This VI records directly contains my database table in the xml file. And finally, I only if the other VI to load file will do the same thing, means load the file and save it in my database but it gives just a recordset in labview.

    Question: is it possible just to load the xml file into the database directly through Labview?

    Why, finally, these screws do not have the same behavior?

    I don't know, but I just thought I would chime, that if you fail to do with LabvIEW, you might want to look by making your writing in a 'Transaction' database, if your DBM takes in charge (most except MS Access)

  • Save user data in an XML file

    Hello

    In my application, I want the user to be able to generate content (in a TextField or TextArea), then save it somehow and be able to view the next time it opens the application. I know how to display data that is stored in an XML file and I know how to get a string to a TextField or TextArea. Is there a way to store these data in a XML file and therefore also change the size of the XML file?

    The XML file looks like this:

    I want to thank this file as it has more data in a collection and there more collections as well. Is it possible to do in QML?

    If there are other technologies that are easy to learn (I'm not good at C++ so please suggest something which is usable with QML) and more sense in my case please let me know.

    Concerning

    JSON is another option if you are just writing data on when you're done and read in when you start again. It really depends on what exactly your usecase.

    SQL is very good to change your database on the fly. QSettings is good for small pieces of configuration data (mute Audio setting, things like that.)

    JSON is good for something to read that you just read or write once. You won't be build and write a JSON file, whenever you change data.

    XML is in the same boat as JSON, except that it is more difficult to work with in most of the cases (which is an element, and what is an attribute?). I really wouldn't recommend it unless you get the XML from somewhere else or if you really need the power and flexibility, it provides (you don't almost certainly)

  • Creating XML files

    Hello

    I know this is going to sound very vague, but what is a good way to create XML files, so there is some sort of connection with the scan operation? Find it me easier to say

    out=fileConnection.getOutputStream();
    out.write( (""+fileName+").getBytes() );

    etc. but I know it's very stupid and source of errors. And after writing the file, I discovered that BlackBerry has no MIME type that are associated with. Any suggestions?

    try to use the write() method (like what I did in my first message) instead of writeChars()

    in fact, I would recommend the tree as follows to reduce errors in construction:

    DocumentBuilderFactory factory=DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();            DocumentBuilder builder=factory.newDocumentBuilder();            Document doc=builder.newDocument();

                Node root=doc.createElement("SyncMyNetConfig");            doc.appendChild(root);

                Node n_tmrConnect=doc.createElement("tmrconnect");            Text tx_tmrConnect=doc.createTextNode(tmrConnect+"");            n_tmrConnect.appendChild(tx_tmrConnect);            root.appendChild(n_tmrConnect);

  • Read and write to the local XML file

    Hello

    I'm trying to understand how to use the xml files saved locally. My goal is to create an xml file in the repository of the application (which has read/write permissions), add data in this file xml and re - register so that it can be retrieved whenever this is necessary.

    I want to store xml data are farily short; It has the following structure:

        x
        x
        x
        x
        x
        x
        x
        x
        x
        x

    ...etc.

    I read a few articles about recording and writing in a file like this, but none of them does not seem to work. I hope someone could provide me with the code to do this.

    Thank you.

    Try:

    ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

    public public static function Store (name: String, data: String): void

    {

    var file: file = File.applicationStorageDirectory.resolvePath (name);

    var file_stream: FileStream = newFileStream();

    file_stream. Open (file, FileMode.WRITE);

    out of the var : String = '\n';

    output of +=;

    output = output.replace (\n/g, File.lineEnding);

    file_stream.writeUTFBytes (output);

    file_stream. Close();

    }

    //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

    public public static function Get (name: String): XML

    {

    var config: XML = null;

    var file: file = File.applicationStorageDirectory.resolvePath (name);

      if (file.exists)

    {

    var file_stream: FileStream = new FileStream();

    file_stream. Open (file, FileMode.READ);

    config = new XML (file_stream.readUTFBytes (file_stream.bytesAvailable));

    file_stream. Close();

    }

    return config;

    }

  • Include the XML file with OTA Download

    Is it possible to include an XML file generated with OTA Download?  I am writing an app that will be distributed with a web application that comes with it.  It must be deployed on individual sites, each with its own public address, configuration settings, etc.  The config is specified through configuration of web application and then saved (and later edited/updated) in XML format in the same location as the compiled files jad/cod.  This will eliminate the need for the end user specify the public address of the web application so that provide default configuration settings.  It will be on BIS and HTTPS.  I do not expect BES as the target users will be individuals and small businesses.  I'll be providing the source if they want to make changes, but I don't want to require the end user to compile just to use "out of the box', not versions include different OS and compiled the updates I distribute the bugs/feature updates.  In addition, it will access some restricted API and they must sign.

    If there is another method to achieve this, I am completely open and still at the design stage of list/original feature on the BB side.

    OK, I wasn't aware of this limitation (I usually code for bes )

    other ideas would be:

    -Configure the application mail/SMS (or similar), implement a listener for it.

    -use a common server and decide what config to use during execution, (by e-mail domain, for example)

  • How Business Service (file protocol) can read the location of the server XML file

    Hi Experts,

    I have a use case where I have to expose a Web service and as a response, I send a large xml (size max would be 18 MB).

    Customer <>- ProxyService (exposed as a Web service) <>- BusinessService (File protocol) < - read - > File.xml

    Here the xml response must be stored in the "SomeName.xml" file in the directory of the same server share path.

    So when the Client calls ProxyService, inturn would call it BS, where BS inturn would have read the contents of the xml file and pass it back as a response to the customer via PS

    Challenge is here using Protocol of file I can't do BS to read the xml file, instead his writing in a new file with conent as input message.

    Can someone let me know is it possible to read a xml file using business service.

    Note: I know that the PS can read a file using the Protocol of files, but my BS need use cases to read the contents of the file.

    Any quick response is more significant.

    Thank you

    Deba

    Cannot use the OSB in this case file adapter, you need to use a file in OSB JCA adapter. Specifically, what is called a 'synchronous reading' JCA adapter type file. Can be created in JDeveloper and then pulls in EPCO, can then be invoked as you want to extract the contents of a file synchronously in a proxy stream.

    Hi Pablopi,

    The version you make reference to is the XML version. What to change is the node called "versionNumber".

    So, try to replace 1.0.0 1.0.1.
