writing the file of waveform in .txt file

Hello

I want to write a file from waveform with 16 laks of rows and columns in a text file. I used export of waveforms of spread sheet file VI. But it takes a long time (about 2 to 3 minutes). As it is written, it is that the first part of my analysis this duration is very long for me. Is it possible to reduce this interval.

Thanks in advance

Try this code example that read/write without report generation tools.

    Assuming that there really may be a disk or file system error, try to perform a 'chkdsk' on your hard drive.  Use the /R if running chkdsk or check both options if you use the GUI version.

    Be forewarned that control the boot volume occurs at the next reboot after you set up, it runs before Windows starts perfectly, cannot be interrupted and can take more than a few hours to run according to the size of the disk and the amount of corruption, as appropriate.  Run it when you won't need your machine for awhile.

  • writing the file text in while loop

    Here's my question about writing data to a file in a text while loop... better written as I can.

    I have a case of Init where I have the user choose a path and a name. I go out the ref and then I gave, which are written to the file. The loop will take 40 000 pieces of data write to the file and return to the business of data get to collect another 40 000 data points. But when I open the file, I get only one as big as 430KB file. I'm not sure but can somone show me an example to analog data of a DAQ help, make a calculatoin on this subject, write to a file, and repeat that adding it in the same file at the end of previous data?

    A loop, not two.  You are famiiliariser of trapping in the inside while loop until the time.  Using the output of the time elapsed in a structure when triggered.  Do the things you want to do periodically in the real case of the structure of the case.

    Wire your waiting time in the target time, not the set start time.

  • Get the name of file that uses the file adapter

    Hello world.

    I know I can get the file name during playback of a file by clicking on properties and jca.filename and by setting a file name by going in the invoke properties when using 'Type' as an input. My question is, can we get the name of the file that the file adapter is used when you specify the file naming convention in the Setup Wizard. For example, you can have the file adapter use filenames like "MyFile%yyMMddHHmmssSSz%.txt". I want to get this information from the file adapter. I thought if the property jca.filename uses 'Type' as 'Input' assign names to files then surely 'Type' as 'exit' get the file name or a file adapter that writes a file, but of course it is not. Does anyone know if this can even be done?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    You can perform a synchronization of read operation (without reading the content of the file) after writing the file in the same BPEL process, to get the name of the file that was written by the write operation.

    Thank you

  • Name of the file to copy to the Clipboard

    I'm looking for a script that will copy the file names of the files selected in bridge CC in the Clipboard. Someone at - it a?

    I read an old post that referred to one and had a script - but it gave an error, and I think that it must be for an older version of the bridge. In addition, it does not include the file extension, what I want to do.

    Thank you!

    There is no direct way of writing to the system Clipboard, unless you use an external library to be located on the site of Paul (Windows only).

    http://www.PS-Bridge-scripts.TalkTalk.NET/

    There are work-a-rounds see http://www.ps-scripts.com/bb/viewtopic.php?p=15322

    The simple way is to write the information to a text file, here is an example of writing, the file names in a text file on the desktop.

    The file name will be the same as the name of the current folder in bridge.

    #target bridge
    if (BridgeTalk.appName == "bridge"){
    var FtoFiles = MenuElement.create( "command", "Filenames to file", "at the end of Tools");
    }
    FtoFiles.onSelect = function (){
    var files = app.document.selections;
    var fileNames = new Array();
    for(var a in files){fileNames.push(decodeURI(files[a].spec.name));}
    var folderName = decodeURI(Folder(app.document.presentationPath).name);
    var f = new File(Folder.desktop + '/' + folderName + '.txt');
    f.open('w');
    f.write(fileNames.join('\n'));
    f.close();
    };

  • Why DAQmx read 200714 error when you save the file?

    In particular vi that I created, I have 3 analog inputs coming in and are graphically represented.  If I choose to save the information to a file, a dialog box appears and I can choose what to save it under.  If I take too long to save the file (aka about 8-10 seconds if the sample read rate is 500/s) then I get this error once the file has been saved:

    Error-200714 occurred at .vi DAQmx Read (analog 1-d NChan DBL 1Samp)
    Possible reasons:
    Acquisition stopped because the driver could not transfer the data from the device to the computer's memory rather quickly. This was due to limitations of the computer system.
    Reduce your sample clock rate, the number of channels in the task, or the number of programs on your computer that is running simultaneously.

    Why the DAQmx bed vi I have this problem when the vi has been idle for 10 seconds then I choose where to save the file?  How can I fix this error?

    Hi child of pre-school age,

    I think your error might be caused by the read buffer overflow. my suggestions for you would be to either the following four ideas:

    1. stop the acquisition before writing the file. This should mean that the DAQmx Read function will no longer be reading and therefore does not generate an error.

    2. If you still want to read the data but also write data as well, I think you'd be best suited for use live TDMS. TDMS allows the user to stream to a reading of filewhilst.

    3. the configuration backup dialog box file before starting the acquisition. Download the user to enter all data in the file before you start to acquire.

    4. change the buffer to unlimited so that you have enough time to navigate the record window.

    If you send your VI I can advise others

    My system is XP.

    I burned the disc a lot in the past

    There has been no major changes to the system

    The files I am to burn to the disc are previously ripped files on the disk hard, some of them were burned on another drive before.

    I tried to slow down the burn speed, but that did not work.

    CD burning problem

    Hello

    • You receive an error message when burning CDs?
    • What were the changes made before the issue started?
    To resolve this problem, do one or more of the following and then try again:

    a. Verify that the CD burner is properly connected.

    b. clean the disc and verify that it is not damaged.

    c. try a different brand of blank discs.

    d. If another program is currently burning files on the CD, wait until the burning process is completed.

    e. Quit other programs that may be using the CD burner.

    f. restart Windows Media Player.

    g. restart your computer.

  • Limit messages using the file adapter

    Hello

    I have a use case where I write only 10 messages in a file using the file adapter. The 11th transaction I should write in another file. Can I do this?

    We have the batch during playback of the file. But can we have it when writing the file.

    Kind regards

    Aditya

    Hi Aditya,

    You can try NumberMessages, it can work for you, even if it isn't exactly what you want...

    NumberMessages

    This property is used for processing outgoing batch. The outgoing file is created when the number of status messages is full. The parameter is of type int and is not mandatory. The default value is 1.

  • Import MATLAB generated the file ascii in the Analog Waveform Editor

    Hi all

    I tried to create signals by the Analog Waveform Editor. I have some Waveform generated from MATLAB and recorded as ASCII files, following the instructions on this Web page OR, but it did not work properly. For example, if I produce a column to fill with 0.5 and import the file into the analog signal generator, all I get is a huge series of random number. I missed a few steps in the import of the waveform?

    Thank you!!

    Just for your reference, I could almost in half the size of your file just by saving as .hws. Also to answer your last point, you may have issues opening / importing your .txt file because it may have been opened in another program at the same time. Make sure that you have closed it in Notepad or Excel or other programs which may still be locking on the reference.

    Kind regards

  • How to use the acquisition of input data acquire a signal at a frequency while writing to the file at a different frequency

    Hello I'm trying to read in a temperature of a thermocouple and displayed on a waveform graph and at the same time, I want to write data to a file at a significantly lower frequency.  Currently, I am sampling data acquisition at chaque.01s and I would like a sample to write to the file every 2 s.  I thought of activating/deactivating the option activate the relay every 2 s, but I don't know how to do that and I wouldn't be surprised if there is a standard way to do this, but I've not been able to find.

    Thank you

    Miguel

    If you are sampling of chaque.01s and you want to write a snack every 2 s, what about all the other samples?  You want to just throw away?  You read so 200 samples in 2 seconds.  But you want to write a sample.  You can do it if you don't mind losing the other 199 samples.

    You could use the elapsed timer function and the release of the elapsed time of a structure of business wire.  Put your writing inside the real deal function.  Nothing in the case of false.  Make sure that all of the timer to reset automatically.  If every two seconds, the case will be set to true, and will be called the write function.

  • Writing data to the file when the trigger is activated?

    Hi all

    I'm quite new in lab mode, and I find it difficult to find a solution to this problem quite simple. I installed a gauge on a tank, and each time, he reached the limit of overflow of the VI should write all data to a file. I implemented my data tables, but I am struggling to find a way to have the VI writing the data when the specific trigger (the tank overflow) occurs. I'm sure the solution is quite simple, but was faced with this during a few days now so I decided to ask for help.

    See you soon,.

    Gasim wrote:

    Seems to work, but the program stops when the trigger activates and asks you a file name to write on and then reset the whole process. Is that anyway so he can write the data automatically, without any interruptions?

    Yes, simply son by the name of desired file in VI of file write. If a cable it won't entice.

  • Save the Studio measure waveform graph as a file for reading later

    Hello

    I would like to know if there is an easier way to record data are rendered on a waveform graph (configured as a graphic of the band) to capture incoming data in the code and send copies of it to a file. It would be nice if there was a method to do this, with all relevant metadata stored in the file (color, etc.). Better yet, the file could then be opened in a labview application (for example, a TDMS file) for later review.

    Thank you.

    PS. I use VS2010 and MS 2010.

    So, it looks like you already have all the data points. For metadata that you mentioned, line color, plot colors, point colors, line styles, etc. are all accessible from the properties so if you wish, you can retrieve all that data.

    I think that upon return from t0 is the same compensation history, you can use the ClearData() method.

  • writing data to the file of measure

    Hi all

    I'm trying record rpm with an encoder in quadrature (200 ppm) in a LVM file with a timestamp of each saved value. It seems to work, except that it registers more values in the file LVM I want. I put the DAQ Assistant to save read 1 sample at a frequency of 1 Hz. However, when I open the file LVM generated by writing custom file Express VI, sometimes I get 42 values per second, sometimes I get 13 and so on. If I don't get a constant number of measurements per second. How can I specify just measure of folder 1 per second, or 5 measures and so on?

    I'm using LabVIEW 2011. The encoder values be read as a frequency and then converted in rpm. Thank you! Files and images attached.

    Your Express VI is not configured to play at 1 Hz. The synchronization method is the default value, which is used for the reading of the frequency as you do. This basically means you're sampling on the rising edge of the input signal, then you're really sampling rate at the same rate as your frequency.

    To do what you want, you can change to mode 1 sample (on request) and add a 1000ms waiting your loop.
