  I just thought of a simple solution. I'll plug the WVC54GCA in a simple timer for 24-hout device, set it to be on all day except for the minimal out of time limit set by the timer. I'll have it turn off to say, 03:00. This way it will reset every day and everything should be fine. If the device behaves badly, at least I know that it will be corrected in a day. A solution pleasant low tech!

  I had to upgrade my email for my domain it gave me different server settings so I could access emails from various devices. I changed these settings on Thunderbird by deletting the old and the new entrance. I lost all my saved emails nightmare etc.?

  Hello... I'm trying to configure the WVC54GCA so that motion detection sends an email to my gmail account. I have configured the smtp and port, but I get a failure when I send a test email.

  It is my understanding that Gmail requires a secure and encrypted (SSL) connection.  However, since the current WVC54GCA doesn't support SSL, you won't be able to connect to your Gmail account.

• BlackBerry smartphone email PASSWORD LOOP NIGHTMARE!

  Please can someone help me... Monday, I contacted BT on a new fixed rate, and I noticed just today that I wasn't getting emails on my Blackberry. I had to set up, then e-mail settings and can see the 'old' e-mail account that worked no probs until Monday. It requires a password, but I tried all the 'usuals' nothing works.  I went on the BlackBerry Internet Service site to try to reset my password, I managed to do that they sent my new password to my email address that does not work! So I can't access it now.  He went through on my PC (although it is the same email address), or my ipod (also same e-mail address), how can I have access to this password?  I tried all the other usuals solve this problem - I rebooted, got wifi on etc etc.  Please if anyone knows can they explain it in terms simple v that I am a techno * beep! * Thanks in advance,

  I solved the problem (with your help so thank you much for that)

  I phoned Vodafone this morning, but he was using my cell phone to call therefore had to phone back tonight.  It turns out that the two e-mail addresses (address of BT) and My Vodafone address had been "knocked out" for example - I go to www.mobileemail.vodafone.net to log in and confirm a new password.  Vodafone have been able to help me with their address, but then I knew that the process for BT, (although I've had a few guesses a password!)  Vodafone customer service has been exemplary

  But without your help I probably would not have thought phone Vodafone because I wasn't expecting to help (especially when I thought it was only a matter of BT)

  I had problems with getting mail from my verizon email account. All of a sudden stopped working when checking mail. The transmission was fine. No server settings have been changed. Then as a final trial before the nightmare to finally give them, I removed the account and then set up again. I now get the emails, but all the 'old' disappeared. Where did they go?

  I read all the messages on the verizon smtp ssl problems but this (lack of e-mails that have been alreadiny in thunderbird) seems to be a matter of TB.

  These services have the ability to manage the e-mail in bulk. E-mail servers will block your messages if you seem to be spamming, there are a lot of issues to be addressed (addresses failed, bouncing mail, management of requests to subscribe / unsubscribe...). I suspect it's more trouble should manage it all yourself.

  When you use iCloud as your e-mail account, you can configure your watch so that you are notified only on e-mails from certain senders. All other e-mails can still be read on your watch, but you will not be notified as they are received.

  • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch (tab) > E-mail:
    • Under alerts, type in iCloud > if off view alerts to iCloud > return to the previous screen (tap Mail at the top left of the screen);
    • Under alerts, type on VIPs > turn on display the alerts of VIPs (also activate Haptic and sound).
  • Apple Watch will now offer only alerts for emails from VIP.
  • To add a contact to VIP on your iPhone:
    • In the Mail application: open an email > press on name of the sender (from: xxxx) > tap Add to the VIP, or;

  Adding or deleting, I deleted Yontoo I have no idea how it it has been downloaded period, I'm at the wheel of a 'XL' that has served me well. My problem is I deleted this Yontoo and forggetaboutit. This program has created 6 file enties 1) %Temp%\Yontoo FFClient.xpi 2)%Temp%\Yontoo IEClient.dll

It's like something totally unknown to 'The Wild Wild West of the 21st Centuryt' someone would say enough is enough, but there is still a little to make this complete puzzle. This program goes further and creates and installs what they call 'Rage Page' it is a browser extension that changes the structure of the skin of the 'Facebook' and displays ads that seem to you guessed it "Facebook"... My main wish is that I will be able to get help with the "folders". I'm not a person notified with computers, but then I think that my say you I'm always pushing an "XP" in this era of high-tech a bit gave me there Yes... • 2nd WVC54GCA works very well on the LAN, but I don't see it on the internet

  I recently bought a 2nd camera, so I can remotely monitor the 2 places home. The first camera that I put in place with the other default values that address static ip, I gave him, shipped port port 80 and when I type in my dynamic dns name like "http://myname.dyndns.org:80" it works very well, in fact I have same need to type the port number and it works. The dynamic dns used to take me direct to my configuration of routers (WRT54GL) but now I just type in: 8080 to the end to get to the configuration of the router to the internet. In any case, it works well and I can take pictures, live video monitor, movement detected email snaps etc. without any problem.

  Then I bought a 2nd WVC54GCA and together to the top of the same thing, he has assigned a static IP address and on the options page I activated the replacement web access port and left port 1024, port forwarded in the router with the new ip address and the port etc.  I can access the camera very well via a browser on my local network using the ip address: 1024 or the 'myname.dyndns.org:1024', but I can't access the cam 2nd via the net now. I am confused at this point, I didn't know that a second dynamic dns would be necessary since the device is configured to use a different port, and when I try using the ip address: 1024 it makes no difference anyway.

  Am I missing something here?

  What I thought was the problem wasn't, I had my port of port of port forwarding on the same number, and when you set the parameter port internal address port forwarding port, which is 80 in the case of the linksys cam.

  Once again that I realized that however, 1024 still wouldn't work, so I changed it to 8081 since my routers gui port is 8080, and I had to change the port setting to 81 in port forwarding and add: 81 to my dns address for it to work.

  Linksys should be ignored during the first 80 or some thing, or perhaps 80 is the default, because before when I wanted to join my router gui all outdoor I had was my dnyamic dns name without the: 8080, and when I added a cam to the network it would go directly to the cam, unless I specifically set : 8080 to the end.

  In any case, I have now the two cams work and accessible. For what it's worth, if there are people from linksys playback of this member of the Board they are terrible docco to explain things, the monitoring software is buggy as all get out and if I struggled as a computer scientist looks at work then the average schmoe stands little or no chance...

• Email stopped sending on only 1 camera.

  I have 3 cameras installed on 2 networks and everything arrives finally together. with a few exceptions.

  On the network with 2 cameras that everything worked very well (a guard dropping out after a few days the camera)

  In the Configuration page - the State newspaper I detects a lot of movement recorded events so it detects the triggering event.

  Since this thread is still active - I thought I'd give an update on my system.

  Three cameras have been working fine for several months now - with my solution for camera 2

  Camera 2 kept stop on its own, and I have to drive there to reset. Other problems such as the email they were intermittent.

  I bought a cheap lamp timer - it cuts power to the camera then it runs about 15 minutes later (or whenever)

  Because the camera does not work at night in any case, I stop at sunset the Sun and back to the Sun.

  This resets the camera every day, and if there is a glitch and the camera dies by itself, it comes back the next day reset and ready to go.

• email and myob recovery of systems down

  My laptop with windows 7 crashed on 30/12/15 also damage the external hard drive that was used occasionally for the back upward. My repair shop could not retrieve emails and files that were on mozilla thunderbird... or, more important, myob invoices just... the system did daily return to the cloud, which you can ask? Don't know... guess it may have been a reader, but still can not find or retrieve it. I bought a new laptop and installed mozilla thunderbird but obviously all contacts and all files have been lost? My biggest problem is the program of myob as if can not be recovered then / nightmare... This NUMBSKULL would appreciate any advice you want to give, thank you, mike.

  My Torch 9800 has no email sending the problem through my Shaw.ca email accounts.  BIS manages perfectly.  Now that the BlackBerry abandoned on BIS, how can I send emails via my Shaw account when they do not allow connections to their SMTP server from outside their network?

  That was my thought as well.  I'll just stay with what I have.  I don't want to just move to a free email service, and then discover a day as BIS, is also takes the way of the Dodo bird.

  I was looking forward to an upgrade, but between that and the problems of synchronization from Office Outlook I think I'll stick with the 9800.
