• Dialog.Alert give runtime exception

  Hi all

  I have a scenario, whiich am thrown in runtime exceptions.

  I placed a dialog.alert to show the user an alert after a validation. It works fine, but once when I cllicked on the ok button, it TR throwing a runtime exception. She did not understand why clicking on the alert of dialogue in which run-time exception.

  In some screens, he of not throwing the error and works very well.  I have observed that, the error is thrown in cases where a custom editfield is added to the screen.

  Please explain to me why this is happening and how to understand it. .?

  After a long vacation... so this thread remains as it is. I found the mistake during debugging. There is no detailed msg that are associated with. and it is originally due to "TouchEventInjector" will be void. I haven't heard of him until now.

  I don't know yet why it start error.

  but I solved my problem by pushing an anti-pop as alert msg.  I wl mrk this thread as solved after awhile, looking for ideas about this error.

  Your test case shows apparently so.

  What I am doing wrong?

  I wouldn't say that you're doing something wrong, just that ADF BC apparently does not support your use case. Use straight JDBC (even to call a stored procedure if you want to instead of using the SELECT statement) and problem solved.

• MediaException while accessing the camera

  I'm trying to use VideoControl.getSnapShot () to access camera using JSR 135 in BB 8330. When I try to make the Manager.createPlayer ("capture://video"); MediaException is thrown and the exception message is null. Am using JDE 3.0 and the guide says JSR135 is supported also the same don't seem to work even on the real device.

  There are many parts of the JSR-135. We have implemented the api getSnapShot() from JDE v4.6. There is a beta version of JDE v4.6 for downlod here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/developers/devbeta.jsp#tab_tab_jde

  You can test with simulators of the device included with JDE v4.6, but of course, to test on a real device, you must have a device running a software portable minimum version 4.6, which will be launched with the BlackBerry Bold (9000).

• Warning message before you rename a column

  Hi gurus,

  I need your suggestion. I am desiging a module to move data from one table to the schema of intermediate archives and then delete intermediate tables, such as each table has it's own rules to keep history (some of them need 2 weeks, 1 month etc) and deleting based on reporting_date for some tables, rpt_dt other reporting_dt other and so on... (inconsistent naming). Because most of the tables is not partitioned, I have to do in the conventional way of copying the data and then remove. (Speaking of ~ 100 tables, data to remove from 100K to 1 million)

  My plan is to create a table as follows, which highlights each table name and field based on which remove will

  My question is I want to create an alert so that if a developer RENAMES the RPT_DT of the RPTDT column in table T2, it must either refuse the user until it changes the above new domain name mapping table entry. Otherwise refuse, at least draw the attention of the user. How do I get it? I was curious to know if there are new techniques in versions of oracle 10 g / 11 g (mine is 11 g) apart from old techniques I could think

  (1) create a level trigger statement for 100 + tables on the field of Reporting_dt/Reporting_date/RPT_Dt, such that the error is thrown in the exception block (this could slow down the load ETL). Difficult to maintain.

  (2) handle reactive IE perform a daily check to see if a field name in the mapping table exists in all_tables.

  I learned a lot of new techniques in this forum where many new features have been introduced by oracle, or others had a cleaner and better how to implement their experience practice.

  I do not understand how your statement-level trigger approach would work.  Rename a column is DOF, no DML, the ALTER TABLE that rename the column don't trigger a DML trigger.  Level trigger statement that try to validate the structure of the table to the data you're now would place a huge burden and would not raise an error up to this than potentially long after that the disturbing change has been made.

  I guess you can create a DDL trigger that took place when a user has changed the table who tried to validate the DDL against the data in the table (probably using ora_is_alter_column and ora_is_drop_column functions).  That could probably be put into work, but you should always remember to change the data in your table and then run DDL on your table, and not the reverse.

  A DML trigger on your mapping table that checks if the data in your mapping table corresponding to the table definition would be easier to write.  But you would be once again be capture potentially long errors after a rogue DDL statement was executed.

  You could get even more esoteric using something like water course to post the DDL changes and write a subscriber process may change your mapping table or triggered some kind of alert if there was a disconnect.  If you are the Subscriber for a little delay, you could give time for the LMD to the mapping table (most likely) would have completed to make coherent whole before validating the DDL.

  If you are looking for a technical solution, however, I will do as you no matter what time you want to make sure that coherent sets of changes are made - would create a stored procedure that combines some DOF and you want to allow and prevent people from having the possibility to issue direct DDL statements of the DML changes.  If your procedure is written correctly and is the only way to do this kind of manipulation, you should be able to track changes in sync (except for cases where the procedure was partially successful because engages in the DDL and mistakes elsewhere).

  In reality, however, this is not a technical problem if you probably don't want a technical solution.  Rename a column isn't something that would be never done willy nilly.  This is something that should be done as part of a change of control.  This change of control should be considered at least two beings who can catch stupid things.  That change control should be accompanied by tests that validate things like the ability of your process to ETL, data in the mapping table corresponds to the definition tables.  This change of control should be tested in environments below.  At the time wherever a change is ready to be deployed to production, you should be fairly confident roughly that the definition of the table will match the data in your mapping table.  A process-based solution would make me much more comfortable than a technical solution to this kind of question.

  4. I want to introduce a layer of application service between EJB session façade and JPA entity for the re-use of the company.  but I found JDeveloper helps me to do anything. I do code manually, when I create EJB session façade, it always integrate directly with JPA entity inside.  I expect that my application service is class instead of the EJB POJO.  Session EJB façade summons enforcement and demand serviceshall call JPA entity services.  is this possible? any sugguestion?

  Qn1, the ADF Model layer Validation are supported at the level of the validation attribute. It is confirmed.

  Qn2, it seems that this is a better solution, but is not Explorer so far.

  Qn3 is resloved by creating a custom error handler to extract a validation thrown from EJB exception and at the same time, it cannot be avoided that the thrown exception of service business layer is still dumped at MTS-out.

  Qn4 is reslolved by employment Commission to inject POJO, EJB session faade and inject POJO EntityManager (use JTA transaction).

• Problem set up RV connection between two sites

  Dear all,

  I'm putting a replication for some virtual machines from the production site to a recovery site. The two sites are on ESXi with vCenter 5.5 5.5 with their own AD domains. The connection between them is done with customer VPN Cisco of DR site in Production site.

  I installed SRM 5.5.1 on two places and I was able to successfully combine the two sites. The State of them is CONNECTED on both sites. On both environments, I deployed unit of replication vsphere and that they are properly registered on the two vCenters.

  The problem is that when I try to configure the connection of VR, I get the following error:

  VRM Server generic error. Please see the documentation for troubleshooting information. The detailed exception is: '"HmsServiceInstance" thrown an unexpected exception "java.net.UnknownHostException' with message 'siteB.dns.name' when calling method of managed objects' getContent".

  I get this error from two different points.

  I can't do a ping on the two sites using the FULL domain name and I've tried the following article:

  I met a problem tonight with change Assistant that I am struggling to overcome. I have a single server instance running (HCM91FP2, 8.52.09, Windows 2008R2, MSSQL - Tools Web of DB, App, on the same box). I need to apply patches and I can not change Assistant work. When I go and you try to view the environment it is said that "all agents are running and sending impulses... before the beginning of change Assistant". This is a single server version, so there is only one of.
  
  Here's what I've done for troubleshooting:
  -Configuration of the Agent Checked:

  What of the thrown error: unexpected exception caught while instanciating an mbean. Have you tried increasing the logging level? Open % PS_HOME%\PSEMAgent\envmetadata\config\Logconfig.properties. You can search log4j.rootLogger = info and replace 'info' with debugging or overall.

  Here are a few answers - there are unanswered questions 1, 4 and 8.

  You can use variables of the input arguments and the parameters of the business in a global creative activity.

  There is no limit.

  Although there is no limit, you would usually have only one or two.

  Don't know why you want to do, but the easiest way to do this would be to do:

  strArray as String[]
  strArray = chars(returnedString)

  Although there is no limit, you'd be much better catch the 'other' exception and then manage once it is thrown in the exception handler. Creation of a transition of exception handler separate for each individual exception that can launch possible get becomes a pain and leave you open to exceptions not be captured and sent to the activity of the end (the default value).

  Sorry - did not have this. Is it possible that you could have meant "is possible to move from one activity" perhaps?

  They are useful when I just imported a process model from another modeling tool (e.g. Visio or available) process where the implementation of the activities and roles is very different, or it's useful when I met a process badly designed with lines of cross-transition. Others may disagree, but these are the only two times that I use.

  Yes, you can send a notification to a work item instance in another process if inform you unique id number of the instance (the predefined variable id.id) or (more commonly) If you know the correlation (orderNumber, Numeroclient) id that uniquely identifies the instance to the other process.

  + 11. Is it possible to get history of instances created by a participant? +

  There is a data store database separate from the engine that allows to aggregate and store information about instances created by the participants for the duration of the process. The API can also query and report on instances created by a participant, but once an instance reached activity end that it can not be queried to history after it age past decrepitude of the motor setting (setting the time to allow authorities to sit in the end activity before they are deleted or archived). Not sure, but once archived database engine, you can probably still archived success in the history of the proceedings.

  I ran a backup in MSSQL Sever Mananagement Studio and I got the error message "Exception was thrown by the target of an invocation."  Can someone explain what it means and how to fix it?  It happens during the task of "Verifying the database Intergrity".

• "Invalid cast exception" thrown when assigned the AutoCompleteStringCollection AutoCompleteCustomSource of TextBox property

  Hello

  I built a .NET c# wrapper around the TestStand users management module.

  When the application works as a stand-alone Windows Application, there is no exceptions or thrown errors. However, when the dll is integrated with TestStand and called from the FrontEndCallbacks movie file, I got up an invalid "Cast" exception when the AutoCompleteStringCollection is assigned to the textBox AutoCompleteCustomSource property.

  As stated earlier, it works perfectly well when it is a standalone application. I am at a loss to figure why this is happening. I would appreciate if someone could shed some light on this behavior.

  Thanks for posting your example. The problem seems to be caused by the fact that your form is created in a thread of execution TestStand using the MTA COM threading model. .NET Windows forms must always be created son marked with the model STA thread. Probably your standalone application uses the STAThread attribute. Here are some references (rule FxCop, STAThread)

  You can work around this problem by creating a new STA thread in TestStand using a sequence of appeal step. Set Options to run to use new discussion and check the box Use Single-Threaded Apartment.

• Prereq.Exceptions.KeyDoesntExistException: Exception of type 'Prereq.Exceptions.KeyDoesntExistException' was thrown.

  While trying to install ACT! 2010 on my Windows XP SP3 computer, I get this error when the installation window says "Running System Check":

  Prereq.Exceptions.KeyDoesntExistException: Exception of type 'Prereq.Exceptions.KeyDoesntExistException' was thrown.
  at Prereq.AccessINI.GetValue (String Key, String ValueName)
  at Prereq.Program.Main (String [] args)

  I click 'OK' and the installation continues, with an installation window saying «Deploying and attaching the database to SQL Express/Demo»  Then, I get this error:

  The SQL Server System Configuration Checker cannot be executed due to WMI configuration on the machine D9806VC1 Error: 2147749896 (0 x 80041008)

  The installation fails and closes the Bill.  I tried the troubleshooting tips on the site of ACT (uninstall all components SQL 2005 and Act and try to reinstall), but nothing works.  Any ideas?

  Please verify that the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service is started (using-> administration-> Services Tools Control Panel).
