Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current version of Firefox, if possible, the settings in the software security and cleaning of the Windows registry.

  • Do NOT remove the data personal when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because all profile files will be deleted and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords from other versions of Firefox profiles.

Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

  • (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
  • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but make sure that 'delete personal data' is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

  • Firefox won't load any websites at all

I have been using Firefox for a while more, as IE 10 would not work for me, but a few days ago Firefox has stopped working all together. I click Firefox and everything that happens is that it loads a new tab, and it has a blank page without web address. If I type in a web address, it "charge" for a fraction of a second and is still a blank page. I uninstalled and reinstalled and did not work. I have also reset Firefox, and it does nothing except that I get a useless toolbar. I have no Chrome, but IE works fine for me because I've downgraded to IE 9. I prefer Firefox, as it is a bit faster and more simply organized. Is there anything else I can try to solve this problem?

It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

No problem. Just did the same thing on another PC with the same problem and solved this problem as well. Seems java 7.67 or less may have a conflict with Firefox 33. Just update to java 8.25

  • Firefox won't load is not the version of the graphic text of a website

I see more and more pages on several site where firefox will load only the text version of the page, not the graphics. I won't be able to click a button and get a reaction. Even on support of mozilla page button to click to contains the wouldn't do anything. I had to simply press the Enter key to get it to do anything. I have reset FF default values and also load it in safe mode and the same things happening.

the link below says "try these manual steps", but clicking on it does nothing.

Hi soboku, ESET filtering characteristic can be adjusted to avoid problems with secure sites, either by disabling the filtering of SSL connections or by importing certificate ESET in Firefox. I don't know if you have already tried these things, but if not, you can consult the manual for your version. I looked the other day, but don't know if yours is the same: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1006414#answer-592501

  • Firefox won't load at all because of the ATL error message

When I touched the Firefox icon and error message comes to say Uniode error AtL80.DLL and she even try to load because I can not get the error message to close. I have to shut my computer down and when he returns to the top, and then try again., the error message is rear right in the middle of the screen. Do not understand what has happened. Worked great until I got message to update Firefox and tried to install the upgrade.

Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.

    • Do NOT remove the "personal data" when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords including data profiles created by other versions of Firefox.

Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

    • (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but do NOT delete personal data when you uninstall Firefox which removes all Firefox profile folders and you lose your data.

If you keep problems also create a new profile.

  • IE and Firefox won't load properly

I made an AVG scan last night and has 6 reports in the vault.  I restarted the computer (a laptop) and once on and the file name of the error code was displayed saying that it could not access this file.  It happens to be in the 40s.  I've restored the file (or think I did), but I'm still the error when starting.  (file: C:\Docum\~1\Jessica\LOCALS~1/Temp/DWM.exe)

Given that this error, we can not get Firefox or IE on startup.  He said initially that it was a problem of proxy.  We changed these settings after finding this solution here.  However, the error is still showing after starting, and Firefox said it broke and we have sent a report, but says only: he connects.  Outlook Express is working and loading all the mails, so our connection is good.

Any thoughts?  I would use some malware from malwarebytes.org, but I can't get my internet to open for download!  UUGGGHHH!

    Thank you

    Jessica

The spy software has worked... I can open IE, and run it, but FF will not run the proxy cannot save the connections.  BUT, when I try to download Adobe Flash Player (I lost it in deletions I guess) it will not be installed.  Missing records hotkey (I know that a lot of people had been removed in the spyware removal.

    All ideas now?

"Accordingly, it is suggested that all those seeking additional assistance special attention the preliminary requirements of the site where they get help.  It is particularly useful to the analyst, if an explanation clearly and concisely the nature of the problem is provided with all the required papers.

"Help sites are very busy.  Therefore, it may be several days before a response is received.  It is recommended that follow you your subject so that you know when an analyst replied.  Because a lot of sites on new requests for assistance by zero (0) responses, it is not recommended that "bump you" your post.  Most of the sites have a place to post if you think that your problem has been overlooked.

"It is important to note that many of the tools used in security help forums are extremely powerful.  If used wrongly can turn your expensive computer into large Clipboard. For this reason, it is recommended that you ask for help on a site established and recognized with trained analysts and do not try to use specialized tools or patches without proper guidance. »

You can try the following steps in case of problems with web pages:

Reload Web pages and ignore the cache to refresh potentially stale or corrupt.

    • Hold down the SHIFT key and click the Reload button
    • Press 'Ctrl + F5' or 'Ctrl + Shift + R' (Windows, Linux)
    • Press 'Command + shift + R' (Mac)

Clear the cache and cookies only from Web sites that are causing problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

    • Firefox/tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

    • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.

It took a while for firefox on startup when I clicked on the icon and then there was a message from mozilla/firefox suggest I have reset firefox and all my bookmarks, cookies, etc. would be saved. After the reset, I don't have 1 bookmark. So far, the only thing this computer recognize now is my sign-on so that I can ask this question.

  • Firefox does not load SSL or menu or scroll bards

Hello. First of all, I will enumerate all the difficulties that I tried to get that out of the way.

1: complete the new installation of the operating system with the new recent firefox installation, don't add on or extensions.
2: complete uninstall of firefox, including protected and hidden files and folders, as well as the registry entries.
    3: Firefox reset or refresh.
4: many anti-virus and evil/spyware scans (none detected).
5: effects Windows XP, 7, 8.x and linux including dists Mint and ubuntu.
    6: tested on different computers.
7: worked in the subject: settings by scanning (any difficulty).
8: tested with and without firewwall or AV.
9: tested to the same problems with Internet EXPLORER, CHROME, OPERA and several browsers, linux, never had a problem.
10: checked and updated the player adobe flash, shockwave and java script, no solution.

    The problem:

A: no matter if a direct link to click or open in new tab or window new. Firefox won't load the bottom side of the page scroll bars, nor will it load the menu "file, edit, history, e.t.c." bar, bar none of bookmarks, the BACKSPACE key is disabled, no back or forward arrows.

B: the only thing that works is the top down arrows on the keyboard, not even the keys pgup/dn num pad work. My scroll down mouse button does not work. I can move the mouse around as usual, however if I right click on an empty part of the locked page I get a window pop up with back arrows, record, info page options, however the previous and next arrows are greyed out most of the time.

C: the SSL lock does not appear on locked pages / stalled, it is a security issue.

D: I often have to right-click on the link and open in new tab or window again several times before that firefox doesn't actually load the page correctly.

In conclusion, the only way I could get was to go back to firefox v29.x and lock the auto update.

Hi terratracks, the change was not on purpose - whatever ' one just made a mistake. The pool of test must have too few people using this combination of features (private windows, tabs navigation) for picking up before publication.

  • Firefox in silent mode won't load websites - no error, other browsers work well, no program parasite.

    Info request here: http://pastebin.com/6W8CmjS3
Reset has been performed without any effect. Other browsers work fine. The firewall is configured correctly and no potentially conflicting software has been installed recently. The computer is generally clean from malware, without malicious modules have been found.

Firefox refuses to load everything except on: * tabs. I type in an address, press ENTER, firefox starts loading for a split moment, removes the address quickly and does nothing. No error message, no inaccessible Web site, no 404, just to clear the address bar and remains on the start page (which is always the default firefox one). I tried to access LAN and remote Web sites, I tried feeding the raw IP - same effect, firefox start indicate loading for approximately 750ms, then deletes the address and don't forget that never asked.

    How can I fix it?

Hello, please try to delete all entries from firefox to your firewall rules and let it detect the new version of browser again.
