  • Cannot open this file because you are not allowed access to the location of the file

I restored my compaq 510 professional vista, I get the "cannot open this file because you are not allowed access to the location of the file" whenever I tried to open a file or image

I guess these are files from your previous installation. Take possession of them.

    A. check the permissions of the file or folder the file is saved in and appropriated:

    1. right click on the file or folder and then click Properties.
    2. click on the Security tab.
    3. under group or user names, click your name to see the permissions you have.

To open a file, you must have the read permission. For more information about permissions, see what are permissions?

To take ownership of a folder:

1 right click on the folder you want to take control and then click Properties.
    2. click on the Security tab, click Advanced, and then click the owner tab.
    3. click on modify. Need administrator permission if you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    4. click on the name of the person you want to give to the property.
    5. If you want this person to be the owner of the files and subfolders in this folder, select the Replace owner of subcontainers and objects to check.
    6. click OK MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Photo Gallery can't open the photo because you are not allowed access to the location of the file

Photo Gallery can't open the photo because you are not allowed access to the location of the file some of the image are open

Click on the folder and change your permissions for it and all subfolders and files all rights and if necessary take hand the case (and maybe the parent folder or even its parent - and all of the subfolders and files) until you have the permission you need.  Here are the general procedures to help you:

To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/.  To add take and the issuance of right of permissions and ownership in the right click menu (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/21/take-and-grant-full-control-permissions-and-ownership-in-windows-7-or-vista-right-click-menu/.

To resolve this problem with folders, appropriating the files or the drive (as an administrator) and give you all the rights.  Right-click on the folder/drive, click Properties, click the Security tab and click on advanced and then click the owner tab.  Click on edit, and then click the name of the person you want to give to the property (you may need to add if it is not there--or maybe yourself). If you want that it applies to subfolders and files in this folder/drive, then check the box to replace the owner of subcontainers and objects, and click OK.  Back and now there is a new owner for files and folders/player who can change the required permissions.  Here is more information on the ownership of a file or a folder: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67717-take-ownership-file.html.  To add take ownership in the menu of the right click (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

  • ERROR: You are not allowed to save in this location. Contact the administrator for approval.

I was editing some files of saved games in my OS C: / drive on my computer. When I try to save the changes I made, an error saying: 'you are not allowed to save in this location. Contact the administrator for approval. You want to save in the My Documents folder instead? " I'm the only user/administrator on my system and my account is an administrator account. How can I save the changes I made to my files?

  • Inability to access the network home "You are not allowed..." »

On my home network as well with Win 7, my desktop pc can see and access the shared files on the laptop.  On the laptop, the shared files are visible, but when the "shared desktop" is clicked on the message says "Windows cannot access \ yadayda.» You are not allowed etc... "The other shared folders are accesiuble. Why?

Both computers show as a home network with identical names and working groups.  Disable the firewall does not help.

SOLVED re share the desktop folder.

  • Either the file does not exist, you are not allowed, or is the file may be in use.

I'll do that as a separate issue because I think that, ultimately, it is this error that is causing me so many problems in InDesign.

    Scenario...

New Document > drag a CC library item into the document > save the document and close InDesign > open the document, the error message...

"This document contains < number > links to sources that are missing.  You can find or reedit the missing links using the links Panel. »

When you attempt to link the missing links again...

"The file does not exist, you are not allowed, or is the file may be in use."

When you remove the link to the document and try to reinsert it draws CC...

"The file does not exist, you are not allowed, or is the file may be in use."

All this becomes a major problem when trying to output the document in PDF format, which is asking our printer.  The binding elements are given white background and they are of poor quality, too.

Is this a known bug?  I see a lot of messages about it, which goes back to 2012!, but no solutions to this day.

I hope someone can help.  Thank you.

    > I'll try things that you suggest, but what is most concerning is that this library works with new documents - library items don't report any error.  So why he pointed out problems in a single document display paths and which are all correct?

The problem could be in the InDesign document, in that you move the data from the library?

Try saving this file as a file IDML (to clean possible corruption), and then reopen it in a new document and try again.

    Hi RUKE.

I checked your account details and I see that your EchoSign Pro account status displays currently cancelled account, it could be billing related issue or bad Plug n.

Please login to your account EchoSign & update the billing status, or you can contact us at Support | eSign Adobe services in order to get this fixed number.

  • You are not allowed to open the form ORA-01403: no data found

    Hello

I created a new forms of Oracle 10 g. It compiles successfully, but when it is open, it gives an error message: you are not allowed to open the form ORA-01403: no data found.

I am already connected to the database. Please can someone help what is the reason of this problem, and no matter what possible resolution?

Looks like you have some kind of security is enabled.  However, because you do not share details about your environment or what you're doing here is not that we can do is guess.

    • Exactly what version of forms do you use?
    • Exactly which version of the database that you are using?
    • You use something like Oracle E-Business (e.g. template.fmb)?
    • You created the form with Oracle Designer?
    • If you create a simple form using only the layout assistants and the DataBlock compared to schema Oracle demo (SCOTT), this form run?

No additional details describing what you do or have done could be useful.

  • Why the NDP module says "you are not allowed for this operation?"

    Hello world

I hope you can help me with this problem!

I'm playing with the NDP module has a message saying 'you are not allowed for this operation.

This happens when I try to create a new project and try to open the window to select a project type. It also happens when I go to the ADMIN and add new types of projects?

Is there a role limiting me or does some other underlying problem?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello

I think that you might miss an active project type category.

Go to Admin-> NDP-> categories of project types.

You must have at least one category that is active (which is indicated by a green check mark).

Once at least one is activated, you will need to go to the Cache and rinse the taxonomy of cache (just to be sure, I would empty Admin Data Cache Group as well).

Then you can go to the Admin and configure your project types.

Let me know if you have any questions,

  • FDMEE - you are not allowed

I'm setting up FDMEE for the first time and spin in questions at the beginning.  I set up some users as admins and provisioning of the admins in FDMEE through shared Services.  Whenever one of these users trying to get into the data management in the navigation menu, they get the error "you are not allowed to access this page."  I have no application to implement and that these users are supposed to be setting them up from scratch.  I am able to log in with the account by default, but only as this account.

There are a number of essbase and planning applications that these users do not have access, as we have a dozen or more.  But apart from that they are put into service the same as the default of Directors.

Is it possible that I have no location to assign users who they need to access each epm application available to access FDM?

    Thank you

Thus, we have managed to get this figured out.

I was commissioning the user to access full administrator for FDM.  Once I killed the access of the user to create integration only the user could access FDM.

Our hypothesis is that there are parts of full administrator access that are related to specific applications of FDM.  At present we have no request for FDM so access causes the error.  By downgrading to create only the integration, we have removed all the specific security application.

    The version is 11.1.2.3.000.0029
