YouTube works perfectly without Flash Player

Recently, when I try to Watch youtube videos, video literally disappears, my cursor starts acting weird and whole page crashes. I can hardly even leaving the page and I sometimes get a message for an inactive script, but I just shut everything down. I uninstalled Flash Player and like magic the videos worked perfectly, I only got messages to install Adobe Flash player again. I installed again but the video worked for about 3 minutes, then Flash Player crashed and the video disappeared and everything happens again anywhere. Can someone tell me what is happening?

HTML5 video is 'happening '.

(A standard adopted late 2010) HTML5 using MP4, Ogg and WebM (Google format) to play the video. It requires no plug-ins. This change was made due to the fact that more people use smartphones now access to the Internet, those of the dektop computers or laptop. As phones and tablets can not use Flash, websites like YouTube, Yahoo, DailyMotion and others are ALL their video converting to HTML5, and YouTube is actually all finished with their conversion. That's why YouTube videos will play with no Flash Player.

He does.  Even if you ask the wrong way.  It is not Windows Vista which would "work with" other applications, it's other applications that "work with" (or not) Windows Vista.  After all - Windows has no need or the other of these two applications to run, but these two applications need to Windows (or some other applicable/compatible OS) service.

Not only it works with both - but Adobe is finally released with a version 64-bit Flash Player - so you can use it with the version 32-bit and 64-bit Internet Explorer.

  • Blue screen of death WITHOUT Flash Player!

When I try to watch video on YouTube I have Blue Screen Of Death. Sometimes after 1 min and sometimes after 10 min. I have installed Adobe Flash Player because it is not necessary to watch videos on YouTube. I checked disable "enable hardware acceleration and I always get BSOD.» I am running Windows 8.1 with all the updates, and also I've always updated Firefox when there is a new update. I tried to install Flash Player and tried all the solutions I found on the internet but non of them work so I uninstalled Flash Player. On Google Chrome, everything works normally, but I don't want to switch to him whenever I want to watch some videos in the fear of having BSOD. Please if anyone has a solution or an idea, it would be very useful. Thanks in advance!

Hmm, since you have already disabled the main hardware acceleration, it could be a problem with the video (or audio) decoding. For video decoding, you can try these setting changes:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste media and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference media.directshow.enabled to true to false

    (4) double click on the media.mediasource.mp4.enabled preference from true to false

    (5) double-click the preference media.mediasource.webm.enabled to false to true

    (6) double-click the preference media.windows - media - foundation.enabled from true to false

The effect of everything that should be blocking MP4/h.264 decoding and place you in the latest format WebM (VP9) YouTube. You can check the result on this page, but that might not show up after leaving Firefox and start it again:

https://www.YouTube.com/HTML5 (the two h.264 should be red)

It's not so convenient for other video sites, but I'm curious to know if it helps on YouTube or has the same problems.

  • Watch videos with Acrobat Reader without Flash Player?

    Hi all

is it possible to embed a video in a PDF file somehow, the customer has need of Acrobat Reader and no Flash Player?

I tried to add a h.264 MP4 with Acrobat 10.1.4 on MacOS and my hope was.

that the customer didn't need Flash Player, like h.264 is a Codec running these days.

    Kind regards

    Ralph

Nope. Acrobat and Reader 10.0.something and depend more on high-level system of Flash Player to play embedded videos. When you add a video to a PDF file, a. SWF player also gets to incorporated to provide controls and read the content. you need Flash.

  • want to work on a flash player quickbooks

as it is right now, we have downloaded our desktop quickbooks and you use a player flash to save our work; What we want to do, he put quickbooks on flash drive save hard disk space and remove it from the Office. just have the full program of quickbooks on the flash drive. Plug the flash drive, do our work of quickbooks, then save, then keep all of the information on the key USB. What would be the best way to do this?

    Hi Paint horses.

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers community.

Unfortunately, you cannot do this with the QuickBooks application.  When the program is installed, it will be associated with certain registers in windows. These are the entries that are created by the program and many of these registries get associated with records of Windows for their proper functioning. There are some portable applications that can be installed on the flash drive. QuickBooks, unfortunately, is not one of them. I would also recommend contact publishers of QuickBooks for more information.

Let us know if that helps.

  • Flash Player freezing upwards?

    Hey

It's strange to be honest. I got access to my line today, classes that the site uses flash player to display some content, as well as YouTube without any problem whatsoever.

    HOWEVER

out of nowhere for the last hour, now I have this problem where whenever I click on my home"page of class" and try to go to the flash drive 'about' page to check if the icon turns, as well as trying to go on youtube (essentially anything with flash player on content) it takes forreevvverrr to load and I end up getting the message 'No response' on my browser.

What happens on Firefox and IE.  The thing is before locking them up on my homepage of class, I saw an icon saying 'GET ADOBE FLASH PLAYER NOW'... but its good installed, as I tried to uninstall and reinstall several times, restarting as well as reinstall shockwave 11. From now on, I have the plugin 'disabled' in FF just so I can connect to my classes... but I would like to be able to find a solution for this soon... any thoughts?

I already tried what other forums, or at least I tried to... Thanks in advance.

Hey, glad to hear that these addons are installed and activated. I see problems with FF 4.0. I have a thread that the Shockwave Flash for FF plugin won't install, but Flash files are all correct.  I have another thread that FF 4.0 does not work, but the SWF IS installed and all Flash files are correct.

I have your thread that all Flash files are correct and the SWF for FF IS installed and activated, but will not work.

The common factor? FF4.0. so my opinion is that there is a problem with FF 4.0.

I was no longer to FF today and put in the search field 'FF 4.0 does not work', I got 262 messages, with a variety of issues.

Then I did some research tonight trying to find if the previous version of FF was available and it is (FF vs 3.6.16)

I just suggested only one thread to uninstall FF 4.0 and install the 3.6.16 if that's what they had. Either that or try Safari :-)

So you see that it's not your computer or Flash Player, that is my opinion.

Nothing else I can say, other than IE to FF use solves the problem. I always thot, they rushed this version. IE just came out with IE9, and it was in beta, almost 2 years!

Thank you. At least you have a browser :-) of work

  • Flash Player 9 crashes Internet Explorer 6.

    Hello

Previous versions of Flash Player worked fine on my Win98SE system until I upgraded to versions 8 and 9, and then it became impossible to use Flash Player without a message saying that there was an invalid statement in the FLASH9B module to appear. OCX.

Sometimes I had to restart my system which had become unstable (blue screen - busy system).

I presented the dump of the registry of the FLASH9B. OCX crash to Adobe and they have as much as me with a uninstall tool with instructions on how to (re) install the latest version.

Each re-installation of the latest version always finished with a drop of the FLASH9B. Module OCX visit different websites,

Adobe advised me to stop using Flash Player on the grounds that there was, according to their estimates, something corrupt in my OS Win98SE and/or Internet Explorer version 6, everything I've updated with the latest patches from Ms.

I downloaded a fresh copy of Internet Explorer and I also ran the Win98 tool that checks the system files and I replaced the half dozen files that were reported as being suspect (checksum error, no doubt).

Despite this, Internet Explorer still crashes when I visit a Web site that offers rich media Flash on it (static images).

I myself resigned to living in a world without Flash Player.

But the price to pay for not keeping the Flash Player installed on his system is that there's constant requests to download Flash Player via a pop-up window, and even my Blocker should not hide these constant interruptions.

If anyone has had this same problem and if so, have you found a better way to live with or without Flash Player?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

UPDATE: when I go back to version 8, then the module FLASH8B. OCX crashes like version 9.
If I go back to version 7 (7.0.19), everything works perfectly. So, what has changed in version 8 which makes my downfall of Internet Explorer?

I think I found the explanation which can help others, I hope.

Flash Player 7 specifies not a minimum hardware requirement, but the Flash 8 and the most recent call to Pentium II 450 mhz.

Maybe this isn't the number of mhz. It's critical, rather the instruction set that comes with a processor of Pentium II 450 mhz (MMX and SSE).

Unlike my computer at 200 mhz (Pentium II), my wife's computer is a Celeron (300 mhz). His computer supports Flash 8, but I does not work. A major difference between the CPU and mine is that sound supports MMX (but not SSE) and mine does not support MMX.

Therefore, I conclude that the MMX is the essential characteristic, I'm missing to support Flash 8 and newer.

  • Helps the Possible Flash Player Solution

My system is a 21.5 ", end of 2012 with 3.1 GHz processor I-7 and 16 GB of memory, with El Capitan 10.11.6

I had a problem with the spinning wheel of death and the freezing system in Safari.  I followed him there down to Adobe Flash Player.  Whenever I would uninstall flash player (latest version) problems I had would leave.  This problem appeared to have started when I upgraded to El Capitan, but my memory on that is a little fuzzy... I'm not sure when the problem started.  I tried to live without flash player as well as hope either Adobe or Apple recognized the problem and provide a fix.  After several months hoping probably won't happen.

I watch MLBTV on my computer and it uses flash player to run.  I have Apple TV and I can always get the games, but it would be great if I could once more watch it on my computer.

I'm rather a computer neophyte when it comes to repairs, but I thought that maybe back to Yosemite as my operating system or perhaps using another browser (Chrome or Firefox) might alleviate the problems I am having with flash player.  Someone on this forum can help me to answer this question?  If so, I should of course advice on how to make one of the two solutions.

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

    Adobe Flash uninstaller

    Adobe Flash Player

Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

Isolate a problem by using a different user account

If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

Safe mode - on El Capitan

    Start Mode without failure-El Capitan.

  • Silent automatic update of flash player does not

I was happy to read the news on the new Adobe Flash player silent auto update feature, but unfortunately this does not work on my machine. All the world had the same problems and was able to resolve?

    Some information about my setup:

I had already installed Flash player, version 11.1.102.63, ActiveX version and plugins (installed in the .msi files, deployed through Active Directory/GPO - no additional configuration, simply .msi original files).

To test the automatic update feature, I decided to install the 11.2.202.228 new version, but only the ActiveX version. I installed this via the installer .exe (install_flash_player_11_active_x_32bit.exe) manually, choose ' Install updates automatically when they are available (recommended) "in the last step of the installation, as shown here:

    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/background-Updater-Windows.html

When I open Control Panel-> Flash Player, on the 'Advanced' tab I see:

    • "Install updates automatically" is selected but grayed out (without right to admin with this windows user)
    • ActiveX version: 11.2.202.228
    • Plugin version: 11.1.102.63

The "mms.cfg" under C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\ file contains:

    AutoUpdateDisable = 0

    SilentAutoUpdateEnable = 1

The task of "Adobe Flash Player Updater" has been created and is scheduled to run every hour. I see that it is started ('last start time'), the result code is 0x0, which means "no error".

So, just as expected. But the automatic update does not work, since the flash player plugin version is never updated!

I edited the "mms.cfg" and added:

    SilentAutoUpdateVerboseLogging = 1

After manually from the task, there are a few lines added to "FlashInstall.log" in the same directory:

This error is probably due to the fact that you have selected "Require client certificates" on your Web server. Please untick this and try again. If you still see errors, please post a new log with the error codes after you make this change.
