• Xperia calendar widget wastes space

  I love the Xperia (12.0.A.0.18) calendar and think that its user interface is superior to the Google Calendar application. However, I don't like the Xperia calendar widget. I like to have a nice and compact 2 x 2 calendar widget on my screen home - it works very well with Google Calendar and allows me to easily see upcoming events, but with the calendar widget Xperia resized to 2 x 2, too much information becomes truncated to make it useful.

  Maybe Sony could provide us with a range of calendar widgets to enhance the functionality of widget in small sizes? I'm not a fan of white color is and prefer transparency (I also prefer the look of the old Google Calendar widget before they changed the bar at the top of the gray to blue, but I also think that this bar with the current date is quite useless I use a separate date and time the widget.   OK, forget Sony. At the game store, I just find a 3rd party open calendar widget source simply called 'Calendar Widget' to '+ 1 labs' that does what I want and is extremely customizable. Maybe you could even incorporate it it's open source!

  Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It is my understanding from your iPhone Calendar widget still shows no events. I use my daily calendar to keep me organized. I can understand your concern. I'm happy to help you.

  If you haven't done so already, I recommend that you restart the phone. This can solve many unexpected behaviours. Follow the steps below:
  

  1. Press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Red slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider to turn off your device completely off.
  3. Once the device turns off, press and hold the sleep/wake button again until you see the Apple logo

  Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

  If the problem persists, try to remove the widget and adding it back on. Use the following steps:
  

  1. Right above the home, lock screen or Notification Centerscreen.
  2. Scroll down and tap on change.
  3. To add a Widget, press on . To remove a Widget, press on . To reorder your Widgets, touch and hold next to the apps and drag the in the desired order.
  4. Finally, tap done.

• iOS 10 calendar widget shows empty lines

  IOS10 running on an iPhone 5s.

  Occasionally (not always), the calendar widget will display blank lines instead of the tests.

  for example, there could be 2 tests and 1 bday to show, but the widget will show 2 empty lines and a 3rd with just the icon bday, but no text event in one of them.

  

  3 empty lines reproduced above, match 3 events in 3 different calendars.

  I noticed that if I try to type in the focus area (just make it appear) and make disappear immediately, the widget will not re - make and events text will display correctly.

  Anyone else seen this?

  Go to iCloud.com using a computer, then settings. When loading this page, look down at left under Advanced and see if you can restore from there.

  Although I have studied this issue in forums, I'm still without resolution. New default event for the calendar of 'Calendar' in the game on my Mac of calendars even when it is initially unchecked and hidden in the calendars list.

  Well, here's the scoop:

  To set the default calendar, open the calendar, choose calendar > Preferences, and then click general.

  Default calendar

  The calendar where new events are added by default. If you choose "Selected calendar", then the calendar highlight in the calendar list is the default calendar.

  Personally I use only 1 calendar so I don't have any experience with this...

  But the iPad User Guide says that you should check the settings > Mail, Contacts, calendars.  I suggest you do scroll to the area of calendars to see if there is a setting there to change the default.

  I just wanted to let anyone know that I found a great calendar application - Calengoo! It allows you to sync with Google and assign each event-specific colors, I know this is nothing new, however, it also has a widget that displays the text of each appointment in the assigned color which is exactly what I was looking for.   Hi - After the upgrade my Curve 8330 on Verizon for OS4.5 was last updated, I have now twice on my BB calendar entries. Suggested one after setting your default calendar on BB (in addition to destroy the device calendar and then resynchronize), but my only options with regard to the calendar by default are either yahoo or gmail - is there a way to set Outlook as the default calendar?

  I got my Blackberry at the end of February and set up my email in Outlook as the e-mail by default for the calendar of the device and have had no problem sync'ing the calendar and contacts between Outlook and the device using the Blackberry Desktop Software.

  An update of the basic Blackberry has been pushed and installed on the device recently, and since then, the device couldn't keep the Outlook email like email to the device default calendar.  Every time when it took place, one of two things happened: either that I entered on the device the appointment would be labeled as calendar item Outlook e-mail, separate from all the calendar items by default (visible in the indicator of different color) device, in which case the added appointmend cannot Sync to my desktop Outlook calendar; or all my default calendar items is attributed to Outlook e-mail calendar (the color indicator has changed to green instead of blue by default), in which case the device request to delete everything on my desktop Outlook calendar appointment when sync'ing because he could not reconcile the default calendar with Outlook e-mail calendar.

  Every time when the problem occurs, I would delete the Outlook emails (so that the unit had no default e-mail) and reinstalled it so that Outlook e-mail was the email to the device default calendar.  The synchronization works after that but only for a short while every time. Then, the problem is back.

  When I Sync the device with Outlook desktop, I also noticed that on the device under Setup > e-mail accounts, sync for Outlook e-mail Options only the "Deleted items" box and no boxes for calendar and contacts, but I don't know if that makes a difference.

  I think there must be something wrong in the recent updated Blackberry which is ruin the calendar by default when it is bound to an address in Outlook. Could you help it you fixing problem.

  Ok. The default calendar is the calendar CICAL associated with e-mail. The calendar of the device is the calendar with all the calendars, including the calendar by default, integrated into one. I get it.  KB19240 helps to explain the differences. Is KB 17992.

  I realized that 'Office' is not an option for me as the service by default because my camera is not related to any Blackberry Enterprise Server.  As long as I can remove the Outlook email [CICAL] service book to keep everything on my entire appointment in the calendar of a single machine with no calendar [CICAL] separate E-mail, I'll consider the problem solved. It also means that I have will not put in place any other e-mail or Facebook services on the device at the moment.

  I have the 8520 Curve and I use the theme in the shot with the bottom sliding dock.  I uninstalled the Facebook of my BB, but for some reason, only of the calendar appointments that have the 'envoys with Facebook' at the top appear on the region of origin of my calendar theme.

  I want facebook completely DISAPPEARED from my black Berry but there is no calendar option that allows me to get rid of the calendar 'Facebook' or at least change it so when I make a new appointment there from my stupid email instead of facebook by default.

  Help?

  First of all, go to Options > Advanced Options > Services by default and set your default calendar for the one you want.

  Then go on Facebook and go to options and uncheck the Facebook calendar integrations.

  Then go to Options > Advanced Options > service book and remove the service book that says Facebook [CICAL]

  When you're done with everything you can transfer all other calendar items in your default calendar in calendar > Options.  In the display options just type m-o-v-e on the screen.  You will not see the letters entered, but you will get a command prompt to move all applointments in the calendar of the base to your default calendar system.

  That should put all your calendar items in a calendar.

  These preferences are defined by the "account", not for all calendars.

  As it happened to me when I tried, you can be setting this preference to the calendars "icloud", and then creating an event "on my mac" and see the difference.

  If you set this to "on my mac", it should work throughout (at least it does for me).
