    Hi guardmemeber,

You will not be able to synchronize music player Zune with Windows media player, you will only need to use the Zune player software to synchronize.

  • HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC: Windows Media Player replacement

I currently use Windows Media Player to play CDs, DVDs, BlueRay discs and for monitoring emissions of air with my unencrypted, i.e. without a cable box, to view TV shows, because I have a TV card installed by HP, and a digital antenna I bought at HP at the time wherever I bought my 5 year old laptop, which came with Windows 7.  This laptop also contains the HP MediaSmart software where I can also do similar things.

I understand that if I switch to Windows 10, Windows Media Player will be uninstalled and I can no longer use Windows Media Player.  My HP MediaSmart software will still work in Windows 10?  I spent more than $3,000 for this laptop to be completely loaded.  I don't want to upgrade to Windows 10 if I use is more CD, DVD, Blue Ray disc, Aboriginal, TV etc...  I also bought this laptop so that I can also burn discs, this function will always be available.  If this is the case, what other players and burners are here for Windows 10?

If there is no players free alternatives and burners or Windows 10 will not do what I paid to my original purchase with Windows 7, so there's no reason to switch to Windows 10.  This has been one of my main reasons for not upgrading to Windows 10.

Please be aware that Windows Media Center will work no. LONGER on Windows 10.  Microsoft no longer supports Windows Media Center on Windows 10 then you won't be able to run it and record live shows and others.  Currently, Microsoft has not any replacement software to Windows Media Center so please keep this in mind when you are considering upgrading to Windows 10.

If you like using Windows Media Center, the idea here is to not upgrade to Windows 10.

  • what media (zune, windows media player or itunes) Player is easier to move the music from?

Well, I'll get an Ipod for myself and give my dad my old Zune.  It also has an mp3 player that works with Windows Media Player.

I'm not talking to music that is bought from Itunes or Microsoft.  I'm talking about music that was taken from the CDs.

Before you start to tear up, I would like to know what software makes it easier to move or copy music to others or if it will be difficult no matter what happens.

Thanks and sorry if this post makes no sense complete, I was in a hurry.

It is usually unnecessary to transfer or copy anything when you use several media players. If you stick to MP3 format and point all media on the same folder of music players (in most cases, this will be your personal music folder), then the media player should automatically pick each other ripped songs. How to get corrupted my media usage rights and how to remedy the situation?

I'm not a complete dummy, but sometimes I feel like one. :(

    Hello

This problem can occur if the media rights (DRM) a folder is corrupted. We need to reset Windows Media DRM in delete/rename all the files in the Windows Media DRM folder. Note that the Windows Media DRM folder is a hidden system folder.

Open your my pictures location, click organize in the upper left corner, click folder and search options, click the View tab and uncheck the top option, always display icons and never thumbnails, select apply to records on the top and apply and OK on the bottom.

If the photo thumbnails appear now but look washed on a right click and select Properties, on the section of the general tab, uncheck the box for the hidden attribute and save it.

Return to your location of my pictures, change the display of the page on the top of the right side next to the question mark symbol, there is another symbol with a drop-down arrow, click it and select the medium or large icons options specified.

  • Conflict Windows Media Player and the Zune software

Most of the music on my computer is protected DRM I use Zune Pass Music. I'll start using my Samsung Galaxy Player so I'll need to use Windows Media Player (WMP) to sync music. When I open WMP, it is littered with all DRM from my Zune subscription content. I intend to keep my Zune subscription while transferring only the music I have on my Galaxy. Here is the problem...

I want WMP to reflect only the titles that I will be able to transfer to my Galaxy. In WMP, when I click on organize > manage libraries > music and delete the folder music and select only the folder that contains the music I own, all my music disappears from my Zune software. When I go to manage Zune monitors records and I select the subscription folder that contains all of the DRM tracks, it fills again in WMP.
How do I separate them so that WMP shows only the music, I am owner and Zune software displays both or simply DRM content?
    Thank you!

Thanks for your reply, but it is WAAAY too complicated. What I did was to create a new folder and stored all the songs I have in there, and under the music tab added view > folders and now I just click on that particular folder to see all my purchased music. Initially, I tried, I tried (in the form of library) view > protected would be to click on it to show not protected, but I found that I had to do every time I open WMP. The creation of this new folder is much easier.

  • Unable to sync music using Windows Media Center and Windows Media Player will not open

Media Center will not sync music!

I recently opened Media Center and I had no music in the library. I have constantly played music from the library so I didn't know what is happening. When I try installing the library again once it tells me that a necessary component for Windows Media Center is not available. I have not changed or downloaded something different. I went to check if Windows media Player is the multimedia file sharing. The message I get from that is, basically, that something is missing.  Now my Windows Media Player is not even opened. I wonder if my Zune Player (80 GB) has nothing to do with the problem. I charge my player when this has happened, but I do this all the time so I am at a loss. I went to the page "problem reports and Solution." It is the symbol of the Media Center window and says that the problem is caused by Windows. The solution is to update to windows; which I am fully updated. I tried to restore the system to an earlier date, but that doesn't work anymore. I'm at a loss to know what being of any help would be appreciated.

As a side note video playback, TV and photos also works very well in Media Center.

    Thank you

    Shay

    Thank you, Shay

    Hi Shay,

You can try the following steps and check the result:

Step 1: Run the sfc scan to repair system files missing and corrupt.

    a. Click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right click Guest and then click Run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    b. type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

For more information, visit this link:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

If the problem persists, try the reconstruction of the library:

Step 2: Library rebuild Windows media player.

This problem can also occur if the library is corrupted. Rebuild the library and check if this solves the problem.

    Follow these steps:

    1. exit Windows Media Player.

    2. click on start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.

    3. Select all the files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    4. restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. exit Windows Media Player.

    2. click on start, run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK.

    3. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.

    4. restart Windows Media Player.

You can also view the following green button and check if it helps:

  • Windows Media Player continues to appear makes unusable keyboard

Hello, I have a Satellite A135-S2276 laptop with Windows Vista Home Basic Edition.

My problem starts when the keyboard is wet by the rain. I replaced the keyboard and whenever I hit him any key on the keyboard windows media player appears and makes the unusable keyboard. I tried everything to fix, uninstall and reinstall the software and the hardware, but still does not work. Checked the device manager says its working properly. Uninstall media player in Add/Remove Programs, don't disable services, windows media player, still no luck. I have'nt tried regedit still do not know what to change it.

You have an idea? Is there a any function that could block the keyboard? But I do not, coz I can type a number/letters of 1-2 then the wmp appears and I can't type more. There is no numlk/stop scroll on this keyboard. The keyboard was shortened to media player. I can use the computer without a problem using an external keyboard.
I spend a lot of time trying to fix it, but the problem won't go away.

Could you help me please? Thank you

The problem is quite complicated and it is not easy to understand what the problem is here.

What you need is the final hardware/software keyboard and test functionality. So I recommend you to get somewhere HDD and replace the original one. On this new HARD drive install OS using the original Toshiba Recovery disk you got with your laptop.

After doing this you will be perfectly installed OS with perfectly configured hardware. Do not install some additional software test just keyboard and the functionality of WMP. If everything is OK, you know that the keyboard works properly and described problem may somehow be software related issue.

If the problem persists you know for sure that the described problem is hardware related issue and it should be repaired.

In my opinion, it's easier to know what is the real problem.

  • How can I play the audio stream with Windows Media Player 11 AAC?

    Hello

I want to listen to a live stream of a Shoutcast radio station which is in AAC format. I want to play with my Windows Media Player 11 on Windows XP SP3. I still don't play. It seems that it is not supported by WMP 11, but if missing a codec, it should be automatically downloaded from Microsoft, since the option "Download codecs automatically" is checked in the options of WMP, and my security level in Internet Options is set by default.

Y at - there a way or a codec plugin, so I can play the stream AAC on WMP 11?

    Thank you.

    Assem

Orban AAC/aacPlus Plugin will allow WMP 11 to play AAC streams. Note that you have to replace the http stream with icyx URL part, so to read your example AAC stream, you must enter icyx://109.234.157.154:2012 in WMP, via file - Open URL... (press Ctrl + M, if you don't see the file menu). Tim Baets

  • Frying or audio sound in Windows Media Player (especially for music files)

I think this virus recently, I had on my PC has done major damage to my Windows Media Player files and music. It was working fine this past Saturday, but lately, I experienced technical difficulties with the sound. Music files do not play correctly. The sound is very distorted and scratchy and it sounds almost as if I'm playing music on a tape that has been eaten or warped. Sounds like kind of when you play a portable CD or a cassette player that runs on a low or dead battery. Sounds almost like the files are at a standstill, and then they sound normal, but it is on and off. I can't explain this well because it's really hard to describe. I transferred a lot of my music files on my mp3 player. Even when I play samples of the song on iTunes and Wal-Mart, I get the same problem. I've removed MusicMatch JukeBox on my computer because it prohibits with Media Player.

I would like to get rid of the itching and the distortion on these music files. I don't know what I have to do. I printed a few instructions, but they are 15 pages long and a bit complicated to read sometimes. Do you know what problem I want to talk to? I don't know how it happened, but I bet that Media Player is not fully upgraded. I also tried the upgrade of WMP but that did not help either.

Is there a way to relieve this itching and distortion on Media Player? What exactly is the problem I have?

Sorry the long delay in his response (13/06/12)

No, I have not found a software solution.  My problem is "solved" by the hard drive crashing / failing & replacement, re - install etc.

However, I discover, before the crash, when I copied a part of the music on a USB stick and my iPod (led Seattle for THE & back and I wanted music - same 'bad') and was surprised when I plugged the USB on my car stereo - don't pop / does click - no idea why - at least the POPs & clicks were a "warning sign" of the crash of the hard drive.

When I got home was purchased 8 more of USB drives (fits on music 10 hrs each) saved the rest of my music files.  Most were commerical and had the CD (somewhere), but some of the music was 'live' recorded at a meeting of extended family, which has turned into a festival of the song of sorts.  I was the only one to whom he recorded (after a few changes shared with others).  A week later, the HD crashed (prior to installation).

Up to 12 USBs with music (and iPod) now and I'm not playing with CD while driving.

If you have any music, videos, photos, you do not have another copy somewhere... maybe think about making a backup pronto... just in case.

    Take care
