10.1.3 Acrobat pdf printer driver is missing

Just noticed that my pdf print driver is missing in action.  Win 7 x 64.  What I tried:

1. reinstall Acrobat X Pro

2. installation printer manually as described here

No results.

It could be related to a 10.1.3 update but I'm not 100% sure.  I have a laptop, very similarly configured on the desktop, it's over and 10.1.3 and PDF printer is still there.

Thank you very much!

EDIT: also, perhaps that someone can tell me how to remove Adobe Fireworks?  It seems that I installed it accidentally when you reinstall Acrobat.  It is not in Add/Remove programs.  I installed via installer CS Design Premium 5.5.

I had the same problem. I fixed it.

I lost the option to print Adobe PDF. And could not manually restore without errors.

I tried everything and nothing worked. Then I noticed that I had the drive on YOUR computer as well. So, I uninstalled DRIVE and repair ACROBAT.

So:

(1) make sure that you remove / uninstall all versions of READER on your PC.

(2) then repair ACROBAT.

Good luck.

Acrobat for Microsoft Office 365 PDF print driver is missing or damaged. Tried to repair Acrobat installation. However, MS 365 print AdobePDF doe does NOT - freezes app.  Can someone help me find the PDFMaker add-in or plug-in or a support that would allow applications MS OFFICE 365 (v.2013) print to PDF?  Thank you in advance. Bob

You should be able to print to the Adobe PDF printer with v. 9 (I think 9.5.5 is later). However, c. 9 is not compatible with OFFICE 365, and that's why you have no PDF Maker. The alternative to OFFICE 365 is to use the built in MS PDF creator (usually in save them to PDF or XPS). With OFFICE 365, this should be part of the package. With earlier versions, it's an add-on. When you select the record, there is a box of options to enable saving of bookmarks and others.

  • Acrobat 6.0 and Windows 7 - is there a PDF print driver available?

    Hello
I have been using Acrobat 6.0 with Windows XP very well. However, I just got a new computer which has Windows 7.
I installed Acrobat 6.0, but cannot convert now all documents to PDF on this new computer. I get this error-
"The PDF Creator can not find the Adobe PDF printer driver and reinstall Adobe . Acrobat 6.0 "
However, reinstall Acrobat 6.0 does not help, nor does feature repair.
Y at - it a patch for this product? Download a driver for the printer so that it is compatible with Windows 7?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

The point is this, you will be lucky if AA6 will install on Win7. For VISTA, a few people got AA7 to work, but the first certified version was AA8.1.3. The main culprit is perhaps AcroTray with VISTA and Win7. You may be able to use AA6. If printing to the Adobe PDF printer does not work, try the printer with printing to a selected file. Then open the file in Distiller. This can work. I'm not sure that anyone has indicated no success with AA6 on these newer systems, but with your constraints of these ideas might help.

WORD 2007 requires at least AA8.1.3 to get the PDF Maker. You can always print to PDF, but not to use PDF Maker in AA6 with OFFICE 2007.

  • PCL file sent to the Adobe PDF print driver

After you install Adobe Acrobat DC, the Adobe PDF printer is created in devices and printers, but when I sent a PCL file to the Adobe PDF printer, nothing happens. Is there a plugin available to the Adobe PDF printer manage inputs for the PCL file?

    Thank you

    Mike

No, it's a PostScript printer driver and the back-end (Acrobat Distiller) converts only PostScript to PDF. Adobe have no any PCL to PDF Converter.

  • Can I install multiple instances of the Adobe PDF printer driver?

Our application allows printing to be directed to different folders depending on the document to print.  However, the Adobe printer driver printing preferences requires that the file to a specific location, then keep all the documents in a folder.  Is it possible to have multiple instances of the printer, for example Adobe PDF 1, Adobe PDF 2 driver with output folder set to a different location for each driver, or y at - it an easier way to specify output files?

    Thank you

(Instructions for XP Pro and Acrobat 8.0)

Open the Printers folder and click Add a printer.

Click Next on the Welcome screen

Select "Local printer attached to this computer", uncheck automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer, click Next

Click on create a new port, select "Adobe PDF Port" in the list, click Next

Select the folder that you want the PDF file stored in, click OK

The printer software install screen click on disk

Click the Browse button, then go to "Program Adobe 8.0\Acrobat\xtras\AdobePDF" (may be different for your configuration)

Select the AdobePDF.inf (English version), and then click OK

Select the Adobe's PDF Converter (there may be several in the list, I always choose the top) and click Next

If the dialog use pilot existing if poster click on "Keep the existing driver" click Next

Name of the printer or Adobe PDF 1, click Next

Set options for sharing, printing a page of test if you want and finish.

Now, when you print to this printer from an application, it will create the PDF file in the specified folder

You can repeat this process for a number of outputs.

    Hope this helps

  • Reinstall Acrobat XI & printer driver

I just signed up for creative cloud and am trying to update my CS5 applications to the latest versions. I installed Acrobat XI (without uninstalling my old version), but it does not include a copy new driver PDF (I have asseum it's supposed to), so I uninstalled both versions of Acrobat and restarted. But now Adobe Application Manager still think that XI Acrobat is installed, so it won't let me download and install again. I also tried to go through creative.adobe.com, but no chance that way either.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Joe

    Hi MrJosephClarke,

If you have already uninstalled Acrobat old and new version, try to download and install it from: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=acrobat_pro&loc=us

Use your Adobe ID to update the licensed software, and it must recognize your cloud subscription.

  • Acrobat PDF printer hangs in Windows 8

Printer Hang.pngI am running Windows 8 Enterprise RTM 64 bit on a 3rd generation of Intel i7-3770 CPU, chipset Z77. I found that most of the PDF printers I've used on Windows 7 now hang on 8, including the printer Acrobat X (latest version). I found a free alternative that works very well, but I would go back to using the Acrobat printer. Adobe will release an update that resolves the blow?

Above is a screenshot of total more than ten minutes:

Got, it works. Here is the configuration in printer properties that just printed out OK in Word 2010 and CorelDraw X 6. Will have to try other programs:

The change was to make the final spooled print ONCE. (Hang by default start printing immediately?). In addition, this time I checked activate printing advanced features, that I had not tried before. (I had also turned on some features of IIS, but cannot see that would have been a factor).

Am really happy to get this resolved!

  • Printer driver is missing

I was printing on my HP printer very well. All of a sudden, it has disappeared from my printers folder. I can't print from Word or email. When I select print in my e-mail address, it is not said "no available printer drivers" and will not let me continue.

In fact I don't think it's a problem driver but for some reason any your pinter seems to have been uninstalled.

Unplug it from your machine (remove the USB plug) and power - off and on your printer.  Then reconnect and see if your machine detects (and install) it again.  Sometimes it also helps to change the USB port to which the printer is connected.

If not, try another cable between your computer and the printer if you have one - those who come in general with printers is not the best quality and can break...

If you have no. luck, come back and shout and we can try other things.

    Good luck!

  • Installed adobe acrobat 8 pro on windows 7 32 bit, but I can not print to PDF or create a pdf printer

You must apply updates to Acrobat 8 after installation of Acrobat 8 on any version of Windows beyond Windows XP. Applying updates, the Adobe PostScript of PDF print driver instance will be generated.

  • PDF printer prints everything in the form of a graph

I use Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Pro and I'm having trouble with my printer.

I used to be able to print documents in PDF format (web page articles), and then use Adobe Acrobat to select text, highlight, annotations, etc.. Now, I'm not able to do everything comes out as a big picture. I tried to run OCR on it and it gives me the error "this page has graphics other than images or text on this subject. It cannot be captured. »

I used to be just able to print formatted PDF and start work later in the document, so I don't think it's an OCR problem, on the contrary, a problem to actually do the PDF file using the PDF printer.

I uninstalled the program and reinstalled with no help.

Can someone help me? I use this stuff to study, and I don't know what is happening.

    Thank you!

The fact that OCR will inform you that it cannot work on the page would be revealing that printing on PostScript to Adobe PDF printer driver instance is not convert all graphics.

You don't specify what browser you use, but there are differences in how each browser "print"...

Internet Explorer displays the text as text and as such, should produce a print output to PDF text that can be highlighted, annotated, etc..

On the other hand, Google Chrome converts all text to polygons shown when printing. This would cause exactly what you see, even if what comes through isn't raster charts that can go through OCR, but rather a jumble of vector graphics to represent the text.

  • How to write to Adobe Acrobat pdf format

I recently bought Adobe Acrobat. When I go to print a document in pdf format, one of my printers is Adobe PDF. Who is the Adobe Acrobat printer or does it move? If this is the case, how can I add Adobe Acrobat pdf printer to my list of available printers?

The Adobe PDF printer is installed when you install Acrobat. Go ahead and try to print to it. When you install Acrobat, it also normally install PDFMaker in some applications, such as MS Office. This allows more options when generating a PDF file of the source document, so familiarize yourself with him at the well.
