• Windows Explorer opens folders in a new window when double clicking

  As the title suggests, in windows Explorer double click on a folder always displays the content in a new window. I checked the "Folder Options" option is not checked several times if this isn't the problem.

  I have recently installed a program called FileZilla is an FTP client and I noticed the file number after reboot. Uninstalling did not fix the problem however go back to a restore point before installing it difficult.

  I reinstalled now FileZilla and repeated the problem, however I would like to continue using it (if I can solve the problem of folder!).

  Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

  It is not broken, just confused. The recipient must save the file and open it in Adobe Reader. Your e-mail application is not using Adobe Reader.

  I'm curios if there is a solution to this problem. If you have an announcement, we will say, that for any click that it is configured to use '_blank', each subsequent click will change only open tab page. There are not several tabs created.   Thanks mate, but resolved!

  I was working on the code of some previous guys. I didn't know there is a hard-coded string to replace the target. It was not a Virgin. It was '_companynamead '. If you put any random string except the valid you will get this behavior apparently.

  If you have a middle button mouse on your mouse (scroll wheel) that clicking on a link. It should automatically open it in a new tab.

  Also, make sure that you update to 11 of Firefox to make sure you get the latest security updates.

  You can disable tabbed browsing in the options:

  When I click on a link, firefox opens in a new window. It is used to open it in a new tab instead which is what I prefer. I've never had this problem until last night, so I have no idea what might have started it. I tried the suggestion to put firefox in safe mode and still the same problem. I have firefox 15.0.1 on windows 7.

  What security (firewall, antivirus) software do you have?

  Try to start the computer in safe mode Windows with network support (on the startup screen, press F8) as a test to see if it works.

  Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.
