  The HP software is for Mac OS X 10.6 and not compatible with Mountian Lion, therefore the question appears.

  Uninstall the software using Uninstall HP under Applications > Hewlett-Packard, then click on Print & Scan and delete the print queue of the printer.

  Then go to Printers\Library and place the HP folder to the trash.

  Under Printers\Library enter PPDs\Contents\Resources. You can search C309 folder and put the results in the trash.

  Restart your Mac and install the drivers via Apple by following the steps below:

• Cannot start E520 with phone attached to USB

  When I restart my E520 with my HTC Evo connected to a USB port (NOT as an external drive - just to tie, load), the E520 tries to start the phone is off, and the only way I can get to actually restart is to disconnect the phone.  It's very irritating.  I tried to change in the BIOS boot sequence, and which makes no difference.

  Running a program with vmware-the unit-helper is only a function on Linux hosts. We have had a few requests to add it to Windows hosts, but this isn't a feature on Windows now.

  I just downloaded the Open Source Flex on Ununtu Linux 4SDK, and I installed the last AIR 2.0 runtime.

  If I try to launch the included example ("sample") with the adl debug Launcher, I get the following error:

  What am I mising?

  I took the http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=flex4sdk download and you are right.

  If you take the AIR SDK specific Linux of http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=airsdk&loc=en_us there is a bin/adl here that works very well.

  All my Flex SDK have AIR overlaied (i.e. stupid failure of Adobe to ship a combined SDK) and most propbably of people doing the same thing.

• iMac (2008) - monitor external glitter

  I have an iMac, and there is a problem when I try to connect an external monitor. When the secondary monitor is connected, the photo shows well. However, as soon as I do something that causes an animation on the second screen (move an application window, click on the top menu, etc...), the external Monitor flashes black for a second when there is activity of GUI/animation, then returns. Sometimes you can see small lines of pixels, with random colors during the flashing. It will continue to do so on several occasions, especially if I use the programs normally on the primary monitor (built-in) on the iMac.

  Plug the iMac:

  • Mac OS x 'El Capitan' 10.11.3 (latest version at display time)
  • "At the beginning of 2008' iMac aluminum
  • 20 "@ 1680 x 1050 screen
  • Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz
  • 4 GB (2x2gb) DDR2 RAM
  • HARD DRIVE 500 GB
  • ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB
  • Connected to monitor like this:
    • iMac-> Mini-DVI to DVI (from Apple brand)-> DVI cable-> Acer monitor

  Acer Monitor Details:

  • Model X193W
  • Resolution of 1680 x 1050 at 60 Hz

  Triggers for monitor flicker:

  • Move windows app.
  • Using any application as usual (on the 2nd monitor)

  What did not monitor flash:

  • Simply by moving the slider on the 2nd screen.
  • Boot without failure (update at startup) and train over triggers. (Photo of loads vertically and slowly for a reason if any...).
  • Connection of the monitor to a Windows PC Acer (works perfectly normal).

  I have tried (without success):

  • Reset the SMC.
  • Reset the PRAM.
  • Reinstall the RAM memory. (why not)
  • Starts in safe mode (apparently the system caches deletes) and boot back to normal.
  • Monitor power cycling then the iMac was on and out.
  • With the help of option "Detect displays" in the display settings (do not do anything).
  • Different cables DVI.
  • Another mini-DVI to DVI (first and third parts) adapters
  • Has tried to Update the firmware GPU (System reported that it didn't need this update).
  • Reinstalled OS X (El Capitan).
  • Ran the Apple Hardware Test (AHT) - system is OK.

  I've been reading around online, and it's apparently something with a lot of other people with similar iMacs. There was never a clear solution in other areas of discussion, then maybe I'll just ask here. What is going on? I have a hunch that it's a software/OS problem, as everything seems to work very well. You figure that these iMacs should be able to endure without problem even more big screens as the Apple Cinema HD Display 30 "monitor...

  Obviously, taking this Apple iMac and throw money at them until it works are not an appropriate solution, is not buying a new machine.   Great that you are using Linux on your PC!

  You mention that you have disabled the secure boot.
  It is very good. But you don't say anything about the startup mode and nothing about what Linux you try to start.

  Most of the distros must support UEFI but that can't be true for each of them.
  If you want Win8 dualboot with a Linux distro, so you need to active UEFI and able to start in this mode distribution.
  If you use a late clone-Ubuntu, Fedora or OpenSuse, you should be fine!

  Another clue could be to take the USB key and try to start another PC from him.
  Which will give a clearer picture of where the problem lies: on your key or the compatibility of firmware NB10 & distro Linux of your choice.

  What I have done

  I really wanted to be able to connect an external hard drive and start windows 10 without having to partition my internal hard drive in the process. So I made a bootable usb to install 10 windows using bootcamp assistant. Then I installed my external hard drive instead of my hard drive internal and installed OS X El Capitan on it (temporarily) and then run wizard bootcamp to do properly a partition for windows. I installed windows since already made a bootable usb and then after installation, I installed all the bootcamp drivers. At this point, everything works as expected when the hard drive is installed internally.

  The problem

  When I change the external hard drive on a hard drive via usb and you try to start the windows partition that was just working and I get a windows error that remains stuck in a loop and said "your PC has encountered a problem and needs to restart." We will provide for you. If you want to learn more, you can search online later to this error. INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE. When I put the back of the installed all internal hard drive works again. I tried reinstalling the drivers several times bootcamp in function by placing the internal hard drive.

If so, what are the steps? I would also rather not use winClone.

  You can install and use Windows on your Mac using Boot Camp Assistant or using a Virtual Machine.

  What you do is an unsupported method. You can probably find instructions for methods not supported for the installation of Windows by using Google.

  While in the drive external hard, that I hope has the same operating system, can you go to utilities utilities disk-file and run a repair of the internal drive and repair permissions? You could also do the same thing in starting mode of recovery-command keys R at startup. Using the recovery disk utilities. If you can't get the internal drive to show everyone, most likely the drive is bad. Then, you will need to replace it.

  The WD drives seem to pose problems of my potential.  I have used other brands such as Seagate and Hitachi without running into problems with external USB drives causing the system to boot.  Maybe it's the USB adapter that I use which does not cause starting problems.

  I used the adapter HP USB 3, which uses drivers NEC or TI and has never had a problem starting via a USB external (non - WD) readers.

  I think you mean that the Display Mode target and any connection to the screen will have to pass by the graphics card. Whereas if you replace the bad graphics card, don't.
