  Remaining files imported into Lightroom 5 gray, why? I am a fairly experienced user of LR5 and have been using it to organize my photos for a few years now, and I've never had this problem before. It happens when I import directly from my card using a card reader and also if I download on the computer and import from there. Same result, so be it: once I have imported the photos folder arrow remains gray. I updated the folder locations and synchronized folders, and there is no change - folder stay grey arrows.   Are the grey icons or the grey triangles? If the triangles are gray dark, it means simply that there is no subfolder in this folder. If they are light gray, it measnyou can check the triangle and see the subfolders in this folder.

• Menu "Edit in Photoshop" Lightroom is gray - Adobe solution does not work.

  I have a problem with not being able to edit in PS directly from LR, because the Photoshop options in the menu lists "change in" are grayed out. I have other software installation (e.g., Macphun) and those are all listed and behave normally in LR.

  I have run that the latest versions of LR and PS through CC and all are updated. They move on a Macbook Pro I've had for 2 years and OS 10.11.5. I have not installed other software recently.

  I have not moved any of my files, which are mostly dng conversions (NEX7) Sony raw files and some old cr2s Canon. They are original, that is to say, not overviews etc.. The greyed out behavior occurs with all types of files I have in LR (including JPEG files).

  PS options are grayed out if PS is running or not.

  I followed all the steps Adobe ("Edit in Photoshop" missing order), UN and re installed both programs, all to nothing done.

  I have reset the preferences in LR and Psalm

  And, finally, I just this minute and re installed PS United Nations (just to double double check) and who did not make a difference.

  I tried to find solutions and read through these forums so apologies if I'm missing something blinding (which wouldn't surprise my wife in the slightest).

  Any suggestions about how to fix it are welcome.

  FYI - this has been resolved by installing Mac OS Sierra.  I already deleted all the files Adobe and records (including the hidden), installed the OS, then CC, Ps, then Lr.  Works as it should now

  It seems that files you have in Lightroom were moved, so you would need to reconnect files.

  Since the acceptance of my recommended upgrade Lightroom CC 2015.6 CC (Mac), I've been quite frustrated by the lack of true full screen on my Mac, however more note is I had several accidents during an attempt to export multiple files at the same time. [I am under El Capitan (10.11.5) on a 2013 15 "Macbook Pro i7 2.8 GHz / 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM, 750 GB HD SSD"]

  I don't have an issue with previous versions.

  Can someone advise how to return to the last iteration of Lightroom before the recent 2015.6 upgrade.

  I have a pro4 surface of microsoft and am currently using the trial of cloud creative to use Lightroom.

  All my photos are currently on a mac and I use aperture.

  I want to transfer my library from the Mac to the pc but I do not see the opening of the plug-in.

  When I creativity cloud Add ons page I get the message

  "The product you requested is not found. This product does not exist or this account does not have access. »

  I have over 10,000 photos on my mac in opening, any help transfer them to my pro4 surface would be massively appreciated.

  You can export all images on and copy it to the external hard drive and paste it on the machine.

  Because Lightroom will also do the same thing, it will create a master copy side by side when importing thumbnails in catalog.

  • Go to Lightroom > Preferences.
  • Also please go to preferences > Performance tab and uncheck the box "use graphics processor.
  • Restart Lightroom and see if it works.

  This unit is supported in Lightroom 5.

  See devices supported by Adobe Camera Raw

  

  You must upgrade to Lightroom 5 in the import command from the camera raw files.

• 6.3 Lightroom (Mac) freezes when importing

  Hi all

  Due the fact that Apple has stopped development of opening I had to do a switch after several years of feeling 100% comfortable with an opening. After some research, it became clear that most of the people would recommend Lightroom. So I bought a copy.

  Import of my opening book is very well and included all my projects and notes (very important!). So far so good.

  Now, I tried to import photos newly shot of my Nikon D7100. Tried with the cable. Tried with the SC card in my Macbook Air. Lightroom still freezes when importing or is back with the 'message' that none of the pictures could be read.

  Returned to the opening. Connected to the camera. Quick import and 100% OK.

  I can't believe that Adobe releases a new version with such a major problem... Very frustrating... want my money back!

  Can anyone help? Is that a known issue - the fixes proposed in the forums don't work not (import options)? Will there be an update to Lightroom soon?

  Yes, please try to import images to another location.

  Also, make sure that you have read and write access on the location where you import the images.

  I have recently passed my image files to a Synology NAS disk, but kept my database Lightroom and associated to files on a local disk. As I made the switch, I was not able to import new files. The "Import" button is grayed out. Anyone have any ideas on what could be the issue. I restarted LR repeatedly. I even uninstalled, restarted my computer and reinstalled, but still have the same question. Any input would be greatly appreciated!  (I'll check on this post when I return to the office on Monday.)

  I want to keep the two synchronized using FreeFileSync and a USB key.

  You can keep the catalogue and folder previews.lrdata with pictures on an external drive and use them in both directions between the two computers.
