Hello and welcome to the community!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphones stuck on a 'white screen of death '.

    Hello world

I have a Blackberry Curve 8520. Yesterday, he got stuck on a white screen, with a little black clock in the middle (the kind you see when you're waiting for a page to load in the browser).

Even if I turn off my phone, take the battery or put it on charge, this "white screen of death" I read he is described by other people online, won't go away!

If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

    Ok.

If your BlackBerry is turned off the power with a black or white screen, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life may be the flashing red indicator light in the upper corner. Nothing seems to wake and Desktop Manager does not recognize that a device is connected.

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Congratulations! Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.
    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.

  • BlackBerry Curve 9300 JDE

Hi, I would like to know what JDE should I download to write, test, and debug a program for a BlackBerry Curve 9300.  I already tried with 6 JDE, JDE 5 and JDE 4.7 and in none of them is 9300 device choose to debug or deploy.

    Thanks in advence

I'm using NetBeans with a plugin for Blackberry development. What Im doing is to build my app inside n. b., then load the app from inside the Simulator and run there.  When I need to debug it, I open BB JDE, open the Simulator and attach the debugger on a simulator. Tricky, but works.  I use Eclipse at all, if I didn't install it.  Hope you manage to get this working.

As for the other post in NB, you can set the target OS in the project properties, and you can change at will.

    Kind regards

  • EventLog on BlackBerry Curve 9380

Does anyone know how to access the event on a Curve 9380 log. The tip on the storm had to choose to see the keyboard of the screen Home Menu and type, 5.5 or ' / ' / or set the convenience key to display a virtual keyboard and do the same thing.

BUT the former option is not there on the BlackBerry Curve 9380 and this last option does not work!

... and so I'm asking, what amounts to a reboot ALT Shift right led on the same device (or a BlackBerry screen besides only touch).  I could probably Google this one but added here while I was home.

Naturally, as soon as I posted the question, I found the answer here: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Development/EventLog-on-BlackBerry-storm/td-p/72624

Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

Try the camera again after that.

  • Reset of Smartphones blackBerry curve 8530 with no battery

Is it possible to reset factory a blackberry curve 8530 that doesn't have a battery?

Hello and welcome to the community!

Nope... for a BB power flow from the battery, which can receive comments from a charger. But the gear all power stems from a battery. So, without having one, you can't do what you want.

I do not understand "SOS service installation failed. What is installation of service in this context with SOS?

I'm guessing that you mean that you are the only emergency service. I would have again assumed SIM card problem before the problem of the OS.

I'm sure that no app runs in the background, no updates, I always perform a hard reset. Can you help me please? Thank you

    Hello tintintin23,

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

While our BlackBerry devices can feel hot tell a long browsing session, play games, download countinous or during loading or if the applications are running in the background. If we hold the Menu for a few seconds, it will open a screen that will display all the programs running in the background, usually five will always be there (host, BBM, Message, phone, browser) you can always check if any other applications. run in the background.

Also always try to properly close the Applications - avoid using the end key to close the applications because it just minimizes the application and let it run in the background. Instead, press the Menu key, select close or Exit to exit the application. Don't let your browser open when not in use. If programs are running in the background, it will also allow overheating and also to quick battery drainage. Please take a look at these Article I hopeit will help you a lot to overcome your problems:

Check and see if any application is responsible for the problem.

Question of observation on our BlackBerry battery cover them charge, are lithium-ion battery it won't take too long to load, it can reach a full charge (100%) within 2 hours. If your camera takes too long while you have connected to a wall outlet has a good and constant power. Or you can visit your service provider to check if this is a hardware failure.
