10 OS10 blackBerry PIN messages

Hello world

I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to send PIN messages more? I looked into the Hub app and you do not see the option, I also tried to go to the contact in the contacts application and still no other choice. I was wondering just that I wanted to send a companion a PIN message as everytime I try to BBM, that he comes up with a red cross

Kind regards

Dave

It turns out that the question was not on my side, but sound. BIS subscription had missed. I guess it's a good thing about BB10 not using BIS. Although no unlimited Internet access is a BIG drawback to BB10.

    If the 'old' PIN messages, where you were able to create a subject line, have been replaced by BBM conversations (which are not the same thing)?

    Thank you, Kevin

    Thanks for your reply Bill.

    No offense is intended, but I had to laugh about what I read that "maybe they will add to the list.

    From the looks of things on the forum, is becoming quite a long list, and meanwhile the power users are trying to operate with one hand tied behind their backs or dating back to their last BB up to these oversights are addressed and resolved.

    It makes me wonder about where RIM found their group of beta test for this very important project.

    Thanks again and soon - Kevin

    Hello world. Is it true that BB10 has no PIN messages? It was the great function in sib and people in my company has used that much.

    I hope that clarifies things.

  • Z10 blackBerry PINS

    I would like to make a shortcut only to see the PIN Messages in BB OS10. I can see an icon for Blackberry Hub, but I want to see ONLY PIN Messages.

    So, in your terminal, you want to show only the PIN messages?

    Is this correct?

    Open your terminal, press the right icon three lower points > settings > Hub Management and open each account and toggle "show the separate account only".

  • PIN messages

    Hello

    I'm Stephen Baker, an employee at CAS Corp., based in Oakville (Ontario).

    We provide a hosted emergency notification service, and we would like to include e-mail PIN in the list of communication options.

    The push API will allow the sending of PIN messages?  If not, what are our options?

    The Service of Push BlackBerry allows you to push messages to a custom application, installed on a BlackBerry Smartphone.  It does not support the PIN messaging.

    However, what you describe is possible, but requires a BlackBerry Smartphone.  You may have a front end application (on a web server or where ever) who accepts the PIN of the destination user, the subject and the message of BlackBerry.  This application can communicate with a custom application running on a BlackBerry Smartphone to your environment, which could send the PIN message to the destination user.

  • Listening to a PIN Message

    Hello.

    I have an application that is tuned to PIN messages.  I got this by checking the type of the message to see if it is equal to Message.PIN.  However, it doesn't seem to work.  The pin message is picked up as a regular e-mail message.  The message type is equal to Message.EMAIL_MESSAGE. I had read another post, indicating that this feature was broken in OS 4.5

    I use 4.7, but it always seems to be broken. Anyone has an idea on how to distinguish the pin messages regular e-mail messages.

    I even tried to see if the address is an instance of PinAddress, which did not work.

    Thank you

    This issue is still in BlackBerry handheld software version 4.7.0.  You can view the contents of the address.  The format of a PIN and email address are different (check the presence of the symbol @).

  • using PIN messages to send the query and return data

    I am working on an app that will send a request to another blackberry and return the data all via PIN messages. There is a user interface where the user selects the contact and start the PIN message with the request. There is a background application that listens to these requests. When we arrive, he must inform the user and allow them to send the requested data or reject the request. If they choose to send, it will undertake a PIN to the sender with the requested data, which will then be returned to the screen. Is it possible by using PIN messages, and if so, can I prevent their display in the list of messages?

    You * can * remove PIN of the Inbox messages. For all purposes useful, this is just a specific instance of an ELECTRONIC message.

  • Simulating PIN message

    I would like to make use of PIN of mail in my application and I have the following questions... That will be great if someone can help me...

    1. I want to send messages between simulators. How is that possible?

    2. I need two or more blackberry Simulator to test... How can I have two or more Simulator running at the same time...

    3. If several instances of Simulator run, can we simulate PIN message between this instance?

    Thanks in advance...

    After a comprehensive analysis, I understand that the PIN messages cannot be simulated Simulator.

    But it works very well in the unit.

  • Problem with SendListener - cannot be used with the PIN messages?

    Hi all

    What I'm trying to do, it's a SendListener attached to the PIN message session. So far I managed to join al SendListeners of e-mail accounts set up on my BlackBerry using the advice given here. Given that this solution filter the ServiceConfigurations downwards so that those who have an e-mail address (which would pass to the ServiceConfigurations PIN to e-mail) I tried this:

    ServiceBook sb = ServiceBook.getSB();

    ServiceRecord[] records = sb.getRecords();

    for (int i = 0; i < records.length; i++) {

      ServiceConfiguration sc = new ServiceConfiguration(records[i]);

      Session.getInstance(sc).getStore().addSendListener(this);

    }

    However, PIN messages not always call SendMessage() call!

    Could enlighten me is it someone please if it is possible to do what I want to do and, if so, how?

    Additional information:

    I work with a BlackBerry 8800 on Vodaphone UK, running OS v4.2.1.101 (Platform 2.3.0.80). It is, to the best of my knowledge, the latest version of the OS that Vodaphone have approved. Due to the version of the OS, I use the 4.2.1 API.

    Thank you in advance,

    cosmicflame.

    I can not comment on possible new features, but I can say that there is no way to capture PIN messages before being sent.

The folder can if display on my home screen has nothing in it and no message go in or out of this folder. someone could tell me what it is or how to do something useful instead of watching just sit here and have to navigate around it to get my messages?

    Email, PIN messages - Yes, they will always go into the Messages folder.

    from your point of view, sending a PIN message or talking in BlackBerry Messenger is the same cost that you use the browser to display http://mobile.blackberry.com/ : it's usually free.

    from the point of view of your friend send a PIN message, or talk in BlackBerry Messenger is the same cost that you use the browser to view http://mobile.blackberry.com/ : it depends on their subscription.
