  I continually run into sites that don't work well with Firefox. I tend to think, because of FF high-speed evolution that he brings to the itself, but nevertheless, it's boring.   In the bold line, 'event' is a typo and should be "TTE". Maybe if tell you them on this subject they will fix it. Although other browsers work this way.

  You need to reset your user agent string (which identifies the browser you use). One is positioned like this:

• Firefox stopped play videos on some web sites and displays all graphics on the other. Have you Windows error msgs before videos stopped.

  A few times I got messages Windows error on a problem with Firefox and security, but I don't remember the exact wording of the error message or of what Windows disabled.

  Now on some news sites, I can't play videos, it is happening now on YouTube where I get an error message when I try to play a video.

  I also have problems on the site of the major League Baseball with the browser displaying some graphics.

  I restarted Firefox several times and even restarted my computer, but this has not solved the problem.

When I try to play music, I see the time meter that works perfectly, the only problem is: I have no sound. If I install firefox 25, I have no problem. With firefox 26 or 27 of firefox it does not work. With the same configuration (plugins for example) if I switch to firefox 25, all right. I tried clearing the cache, but it does not help.   This looks like a problem with the player player of the second site.

  I'm looking into this site and see player video javascript. The GSStreamer is used only with html5 and h.264 and others have their own codec.

  The bug for this specific page is https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=921714 which recommend to disable media.gstreamer.enabled, in the subject: config as well.

  Yesterday, everything was fine when I was running FF on Windows 7. After the upgrade to Windows Pro 8, Firefox has failed. I've updated for Windows 8.1, hoping for the best, but it's the same problem.

  I've walked by the firewall program, several times (the only race is the built-in Windows Firewall). Finally, I uninstalled Firefox, including all my settings, custom and reinstalled from scratch, twice. And even this version pure and clean Firefox does not connect to the internet.

  I am a computer web developer and would be happy to look at the log files or run a tool (Fiddler?) to see what happens at a low level, if I only knew where to look.

  john99, thanks for the links. I went through all (again), one by one. The last link kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic showed me what helped. I've renamed "firefox.exe" to "firefox1.exe" and was able to use firefox.

  It made me suspect the firewall or malicious software. I ran a Malwarebytes full scan, zero problems detected. I have pored on the entries of windows firewall, the "Windows Firewall with advanced security" view and also the simple control panel view. The only mention of Firefox is that I continue to add and remove to allow firefox through.

  Here I knew what was going on, but for now, I can at least use firefox. How frustrating!
